Carry

What is a Carry?

A carry is a champion whom does the majority of the damage throughout the game. Generally the roles of Caster , DPS and Jungler carry most games; it is rare to see a Support or Tank carrying the game through kills and assists, or damage dealt.


AD Carry

An AD Carry is defined by a champ that do most of their damage through auto attacks and therefore need the most items to be successful. AD Carries are normally found in the Bottom Lane of Summoner's Rift . They farm all game in order to buy damage items to become stronger. A Support will be in the lane with them, supporting them through the laning phase. Early game, the AD Carry must be "carried" by the team until they can Carry the game themselves.

AP Carry

An AP Carry is defined b a champ that does most of their damage through abilities, and therefore scale fastest by increasing their level. AP Carries are normally found either Top or Middle Lane in Summoner's Rift . This champion will often get most of his kills early to mid game, when AP Casters are strongest. This role is often played by a Caster .
