Please explain what are the benefits of learning japanese. Being able to read mangas and watch animes before the translations are out? Japanese is a very localized language, it'll only benefit you if you want to live in Japan."

I haven't played very much since the patch so I can't say for sure. The best thing you can do is try for yourself and see which one you prefer.
