Wotcha MobaFire 8D

Not sure if anyone's noticed, but I've been afk for a few weeks now (hence the above picture - 74 PMs? Wow, that's a record!). This has been due to a number of things, primarily my holiday overseas to Singapore and Thailand.

More than one hundred awesome things happened during my two and a half week trip, resulting in over 2700 photos on my camera alone. As such, I've tried to pick the "best" moments to detail in order to avoid boring you guys. Pretty much don't want to be "that guy" who manacles you to the couch, pries your eyes open and forces you to watch a slide show of inane family photos that you don't give a **** about 8D

So this will be my chronological journey from Brisbane, Australia, to Singapore, and then to ****et Thailand.

1. Morning of Day One
4am alarm? Sounds fun! Stumbling around in the dark. Checking to see if I've forgotten anything. Waking up my sister, Patch and War. Adamant that I'll only be taking one bag, **** luggage, man. Get in the car. No traffic. Check in starts at 8am, but need to be there two hours prior for international travel.

2. Airport
Brisbane International Airport is pretty ****. Meet up with my mum, baby brother, step father, Opa and Nanay. Family vacation, yo. Passports out, luggage checked in, liquids of all types placed in a clear plastic ziplock bag. Sucessful through x-ray machine things. Wait for two hours for boarding.

3. Flight
Right at the back of the plane. Pillows and blankets, hells yeah. In-flight TV program consists of every new movie out in the last 6 months + random selection of TV shows. All Game of Thrones episodes, a season of Big Bang Theory etc. End up watching Twilight Saga, because why the **** not? 8D Ain't got nothing better to do with my 8 hour flight. Besides help my baby brother when he randomly and suddenly gets a nose bleed, woaaaaah, never seen one in real life, that ****'s messy.

4. Arrival to Singapore Airport
Feels like Australia. Only suddenly everyone around me is MY colour. It's like an Asian Australia - not Japanese/Chinese like central Brisbane, but... like me. You know. Sort of half-cast looking. Most signs are in English. Airport is super nice. First thing you notice as you walk out the airport is the sky. It is grey. Next thing you notice is some people wearing face masks. Smog.

5. Taxi to Motel
Yes, motel. Cheap as accommodation. Maybe... 3 star accommodation. A little disappointed. Informed we can't drink the tap water, k. Across the road is the Bugis Markets, a maze of market stalls. Stall upon stall upon stall of food, trinkets, suveniors, clothes etc. Singapore economy is similar to Australia's, so everything is just a bit cheaper than I'm used to, in terms of material units. Food, however, is dirt cheap. $1.50 Australian for a reasonably sized food dish. Noooooom nom nom.

6. Universal Studios
Awesome fun. Heaps of rides and much bigger than any theme park in Australia. Transformers ride was excellent. Also enjoyed Jurrasic Park :D Beetle Juice was actually quite attractive under that make up, believe it or not o.o

7. Singapore Zoo
Animals. Lots and lots of animals. Lots of monkeys. It was a zoo. Nothing amazing, exactly what you'd expect of a zoo. Bigger than the Australia Zoo in Brisbane, but not to worry! There was an "Australian" exhibit with kangaroos and such, so it felt like right at home 8D

8. Stuff at Santosa
Heaps of fun stuff that I didn't get to take photos of because my camera died, including: ski lift up a mountain, luge'ing down it, snakes, birds, good food, Song of the Sea lazoooor show etc.

9. Flight to Thailand
Luckily this was only a short flight. Yes. My sister, mother and I wore matching outfits for the flight. Shirts were uber cheap in Singapore 8D

10. Anantara Vacation Club
You better believe that this was the best hotel I've ever been to (or at least, have the recollection of). About a five minute walk to the beach, only a two minute walk to the shops, an elevator ride to the pool and bike rack. Service was fantastic. Only problem was, prices for things were a bit higher than we were expecting - still only around $5 Australian for a great meal though!

11. ****et Town + "The Markets" + Look Out
Shopping!!! I've got heaps of photos revolving around shopping, so I'll just lump them here. Just a note on currency. Basically you just divided everything by 30. So if something is 300 BHT, that's actually only $10 Australian dollars. Sometimes I took photos of things that I found to be ridiculously cheap. For example, alcohol. It was CHEAP AS DIRT.

And now I'm back. This was exhausting. Probably will update/finish it later. Still got a few things left to share, will flesh this out later, but wow, spent too much time on this, luls. Hmm. Will also answer my PMs some time soon, promise. Also, guides will be updated.
