also the comment section change other than people spamming scream things and *****es all over the place seems fine to me, the few times i do comment i end up taking a bit more than 140 characters (or whatever it was) but i doubt the stupid "le meme XD" spam posts are going to stop any time soon on bigger videos, but at least its better than the top comment just parroting what was already said in the video

Yeah and spam comments are gonna get buried more easily now as they have different sorting algorithms and push not only upvoted comments to the top.

Also, the character limitation was ********, we all know that.

@Searz, It's not the 3 clicks that are bothering me - I've already connected to google + (and terminated the connection c:).
I simply don't like the type of social network google+ is and I definitely liked youtube a lot more BEFORE the major changes. It was kind of a unique type of social network thing, now it seems to be moving towards the everyday thingy we see all over facebook and tumblr.
I'm not saying it's a bad change or anything. I personally preferred the old youtube - looking from that perspective it's normal to show displeasure.
Also annoyed at how I have to check google + for comment notifications and the fact that google+ shares every single thing you do on youtube (granted, this isn't a problem if you choose not to share it with anyone).
EDIT CAUSE OF ACCIDENTAL POST: If connecting to google+ makes things easier for the newer users, then yes it's a good thing and a welcomed change. However, I can't see the major improvement myself because I've been on the internet for a long time and have effortlessly and successfully managed my social sites without them being connected.

I wouldn't have considered this an issue if youtube remained the way it was, with perhaps a little icon that could lead you to your google+ account that would be connected to your youtube one.
That would literally solve everyones problems while still making it easier for newer users imo .-.

Hell yeah it was unique. Unique in the fact that it was a cesspool of spam, idiocy and ****.
You mean you ACTUALLY liked the cesspool of spam, idiocy and **** that was the youtube comments?
You cannot be ****ing serious...
I'm pretty sure NOBODY liked the old youtube comments, but they made do with them and got used to them. And like with anything people get used to: they get so scared they piss their pants whenever it is changed.

The Google+ notification system is endlessly more practical and reliable than the old system. Now you'll see your notifications on whatever Google site you're on, and can respond or check other comments at the same time as you're doing something else, like watching a video on Youtube.
And the 'problem' that it shares anything you post is just a moot point and not worth bringing up as it takes quite literally a single click to avoid it.

Yes, the new system does in fact make it easier for new users. It consolidates two different systems into one and better displays interesting posts (although exactly how much better remains to be seen when people get tired of spamming ****s).
So it will in fact be even more effortless to manage your social sites now, when you get used to it.

Integration =/= linking.
Now you're just being silly.

The only good thing now is that you can actually find out who's posting those nasty comments and you can go full on stalker mode on their ***es.

Good thing I don't have any inclination to post comments on youtube vids...... :D

The comment system sure has some flaws at the moment, but in overall I find it improved a lot. It's easier to read replies and stuff (although the notifications you get from likes on your comment are quite useless IMO), and it became easier to reply to these comments, too. I think people are hatin' on the new comment system, because the previous major updates on Youtube were just lay-out updates which didn't really add anything new other than the annoyance to get used to something new, but now I just don't see the reason why people would be hatin' this much.

The only weird thing is that you were just forced to use Google+, like, just deal with it. I just made Google+ for my youtube account just because I had to, but since I made one I never did anything with it lol. I don't really know what Google's plans are with Google+, because all I need is currently still on the Youtube page.

Honestly for me it has little to do with change. I pretty much agree with this guy on what the actual problems are.

Lots of Obamas posting *****ses, lel.

Anyway, this guy actually the first I think that actually pointed out legit problems of the youtube system. The bigass comment thingy and top comment thingy are not that big of a deal imo, cuz top comments were always trash and bigass comments can be scrolled like said before. The virus thing and the "ban recover" thing however might be an actual problem. I don't want no virusses cuz some tinky***toe gave me some links. And I can definately understand the hate if you ban someone from your videos while they just come back again without having any problems :P

The overal idea of the new comments is still a huge improvements tho imo, if they just fix these minor issues it has right now, it should be fine.
Change is gooooood

Change wouldn't be an issue if they didn't mess with functionality. It mostly affects content creators and their ability to communicate with their commenters. The process of a content creator finding and replying to comments on their video is a complete UIX failure. It's like some intern at Google made a wireframe that literally says "User logs into Google+ -> ? -> Sees comments on videos!"
