Surround sound VoIP that uses little processing power. Good for bad internet connections. Ability to mute any users, good for multiple people in the same room.

Recently I've downloaded a program called LockHunter, which allows you to delete certain unwanted files that are just constantly being active while you don't want them active. Very handy to have if those files aren't recognized as a virus by your virusscanner, and if they're just annoying as hell.

Plumeria. It is a free image sorter. It lets you organize images using hotkeys you want and it works nice on linux too via Wine. I don't know any other programs that does this as well.

Official description: "A simple, portable, and reliable image viewer/organizer that can quickly sort and organize a large amount of images using keyboard hot keys or the mouse."

Classic Shell. I use it mainly to have the old start menu in the windows 8, but it have a lot of other features as well.

Official description: Classic Shell™ is free software that improves your productivity, enhances the usability of Windows and empowers you to use the computer the way you like it.

Synapse is only useful if you actually use Razer's peripherals
Surround if you have surround headset
and Game Booster doesn't do anything compared to something like TuneUp Utilities

Good old Snes9x. Played that back in '05 when my snes broke. "Save State" saved me many many times.

Well retroarch is a bit buggy with Save State and ingame memory cards.
When you 'minimize' it and use other apps for an extended period of time and then come back to it, it'll reboot the emulator. This shouldn't really be an issue cause the states are saved correctly, but I've noticed it doesn't remember any of the ingame saves since the last time it was properly quit/shutdown from inside the app.
This also happens when you close the app using the app overview or other external apps.
Wasted 5 hrs on FF VII before I noticed this.

Now I save state and quit retroarch whenever I stop playing. Making sure my saved games still update.
