The #1 problem with my teams in Bronze/Silver is handshaking on uneven fights.
You can take uneven fights if you can instantly delete someone or they are tanking an objective such as Dragon or Baron.
Otherwise winning an uneven fights requires that you and/or your teammates manage to outplay the enemy team.
But to outplay you generally have to have some sort of advantage.
-You have
Flash and they do not
-One or more of your teammates has a level or item advantage
And you have to execute properly on that advantage. If you don't Flash the thing that will kill or CC you, then you auto lose.
Which is why trying to rely on outplays is a low % tactic.
A numbers advantage, all other things being equal, is the most reliable play in league.
You need to look at the mini-map and count heads. If you are at a numbers disadvantage or could be at a numbers disadvantage then the correct play is to usually chill and continue with the plan that works for your lane.
Are we a poke lane? Then we poke until they are low enough that we can force them to back or kill them.
Are we and all-in lane? Yes, but I don't see their jungler. Then we don't all-in until we know where the enemy jungler is.
Are we a trade lane? Then we take small trades until conditions are such that we can instantly delete someone when we know it is safe to do so.
Or if you are the jungler you need to not invade when you don't have lane priority and/or prepare for an invade if your laners don't have lane priority.
And as jungler you need to look for opportunities to create numbers disadvantages by warding and tracking the enemy jungler.

What they should be doing is sending the right champions to the side lanes to deal with the waves, then grouping in whatever quantity works for comp, whether that be 5 man death ball, 4-1, 1-3-1.
Because here is what happens. You will probably have one guy on your team that is quite fed. Either they run around solo trying to kill people or you get a small group running around together trying to get picks. And you'll find that leaves your

The right thing to do is to type in chat and say going to Top to clear wave, please do not fight. This should be less necessary the higher you go up in rank since people know they need to keep their farm up and know that keeping the sidlelanes pushed out gives them timing windows to do things on the map where they don't have to deal with minions.
Roughly speaking you want your wave clear in Mid lane because that is the shortest lane and so the minions effectively move more quickly because of that.
If you have a good 1v1 champion like a Zed or a splitpusher like Trydamere you want them in a side lane.
And you want your ADC picking up waves as well.
But to do this safely it requires wards. Everyone should try to ward up the paths through the jungle so that no one is picked off in transit to the waves.
If you are the support and want to group with your junlger and ward/de-ward, cool, but make sure your ADC has vision to shove out the lanes safely so that they don't get jumped on by that nasty
Jungler in addition to warding/de-warding with your jungler you have the option of shadowing a squishy character going to push out a wave. That way if they do get jumped on you can turn the tables.
Once the waves are pushed then you can look for picks and objectives. Pushing the minions does quite a few things.
-Gives your team gold and XP
-Your minions provide forward vision and will show enemy champions that come to collect the waves.
-It prevents the enemy team from having waves ready to crash into your structures in the event that they win a teamfight.
So again with the tower providing a man advantage you have to have some way to outplay.
2. People will often get mad at your for not following up on their plays. Or not running to their rescue after they done goofed.
Generally ignore them unless you are very comfortable with your champion to the point you know when you have an advantage even when outnumbered.
And even if you know your champion inside and out you still need to think about if there is a better play (higher % or more to gain) to be made on the map.
E.g. Why not get the last outer tower where you have a minion wave rather than trying to dive the defenders under their inhibitor turret that your minion wave hasn't even arrived at?
