Pros/Cons

Pros

Cons

- High Damage - Can't buy health items
- Lots of CC - His itenms are overall expensive
- Camouflage and a hook - You hard stomp or get smacked
- Ultimate indicator with reset - Got to play aggressive or will lose
Gift of the Drowned Ones
The grey bar that is created when he takes damage from champions allows him to win trades easily, and take poke for causes that are worth. You can even use this to your advantage by walking into a brush, and if you don't heal, that means that there is a ward in that brush. This is usually easily triggered by Ghostwater Dive unless in close proximity with an enemy champion.
Bone Skewer
Tap: Pyke stabs and slows all enemies in front of him for a large amount.
Hold: Pyke readies for a controled duration, and then throws his harpoon. The first enemy hit will be pulled towards him for a fixed distance.

Both version of Bone Skewer does about the same damange and slowing. If you're close enough that will help you slow down an enemy that is peeling. If you are close enough the enemy will be pulled behind him similar to singed's Fling.

Ghostwater Dive
Pyke dives in spectral waters, entering camouflage and gaining a significant increase to his movement speed that decays over a few seconds.
Camouflage hides Pyke from view while enemies remain outside his immediate are. Attacking or casting spell immediate ends camouflage.
This is your main engage and disengage tool because of the quick healing it gives you from Gift of the Drowned Ones. This is great for roaming and all, but it can still be seen by controls wards.
Phantom Undertow
Pyke dashes, leaving behind a drowned phantom. After a short delay the phantom returns to Pyke, damaging (Only Champions) and stunning anyone that it passed through.
This is sometimes what you will use coming out of Ghostwater Dive. It can be used for escaping, and the stun when enemies try to follow are very useful. You should max this ability second because this will give a slightly longer stun.
Death from Below
Pyke strikes in an X-shaped area, blinking to champions and executing those below a certain indicator of health.
When you kill someone with Death from Below, the last ally that has assisted also gets full kill gold, and Pyke can use Death from Below again, for a short period of time.
Death from Below is able to go through shields, and there is always a white indicator that you need to pass before casting Death from Below to be able to recast it.
Items Back to Top
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/steel-shoulderguards-402
Steel Shoulderguards will help you kill minions faster and get more gold for you and your partner.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/boots-of-mobility-86
This will give Pyke extra mobility that he needs to be able to roam efficiently with. Combined with his Ghostwater Dive, he can get across the map in a very short period of time.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/duskblade-of-draktharr-322
Duskblade of Draktharr is usually my first item although some might debate that it is Umbral Glaive. I prefer Duskblade of Draktharr because It helps me able to one shot all the ADCs and Supports to win lane immediate.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/youmuus-ghostblade-101
Youmuu's Ghostblade is what I go next because of its lethality and movement speed. Depending on the situation though I might go Umbral Glaive.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/umbral-glaive-397
This is what helps you clear all the wards without needing to get Oracle Lens. This will made you see all the hidden traps and if you're quick enough you will clear it quick enough.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/edge-of-night-333
Edge of Night gives you the extra bit of lethality that you need to one shot them with one combo. The spell shield will help with you going all in on the enemies.
https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/item/guardian-angel-43
Guardian Angel is such a good combo with Duskblade of Draktharr because of how it makes the enemy team focus you because of the high damage output, and sustain you have. Once you re-spawn you can make a clutch play with your ult while you team was cleaning up.
Laning Back to Top
If you have taken electrocute you have to stun as soon you hook the enemy and auto them to proc your electrocute. This is usually a problem because early on, your q has a long cool-down, so you must make sure to hit it.
Once you take a back, you generally want to see if there is an open lane that you can look to roam in on. Once you roam over there you have to make a straight beeline for bot again, and try to catch the enemy ADC off guard.
Teamfights Back to Top
In teamfights you generally want to stay in the backlines, and get the occasional hook stun combo, and you're basically looking to clean up the mess that your team has made. Your Death from Below acts as a better Elder Dragon. If you're caught in the middle of the enemy team rotating somewhere, and your team is in relatively close proximity, you can try to hook them over walls, and ambush them to make the fight 5v4. Make sure that you are constantly on the move so that you're catching the enemy team when they're least expecting it.
Conclusion Back to Top
If you have any question, and need help with this, you can ask me via comments.

Hope this guide helps you!
