Champion Build Guide
Hey, I'm Frost and this guide is about my Ahri! I'm an Anivia Main but Ahri is one of my favourite Champions! In this guide I'm gonna show you how to play her to climb easily in SoloQ! Shes a super well designed champion. Shes a super nice allrounder, having waveclear, mobility, burst, cc and healing. The fact that shes super fun to play and those essentials make her an insane soloq pick. You can play her as an assasin, who deletes enemy carries or as a front to back teamfighter. Her weakness is if she falls behind, since she will lack waveclear, lane pressure or burst by having no ap. In this guide i will show you how to minimize your weaknesses and focus on your strenghts to climb in soloq! |
Electrocute: Ahri wants to oneshot/burst the enemy champion and the Electrocute runepage helps her with that. It maximizes your singletarget damage with Cheap Shot and Scorch.
It is mostly used when you want kill pressure in lane. This is the typical Ahri runepage, which is best in SoloQ.
Ultimate Hunter lowers your cooldown on Spirit Rush which is super important. Makes you able to take out priority targets more often.
Glacial Augment: Ahri can also use this runepage very well. You wont be able to oneshot targets as well as with Electrocute, but your utility is super insane once you finished building Twin Shadows and Everfrost.
Your laningphase is a bit weaker, since you lack singletarget damage. Gamechanger is your mobility though, which helps your team catch people offguard.
This might be the better choice if youre not the assasin-type of player, who prefers to slow people and let your team engage on them first.
+good waveclear
+great roaming
+nice mobility
+snowballs fast
+fits alot of teamcomps
+easy catches
+nice 1v1 potential
Cons:
-hard to execute against cc comps
-is bad if behind
-can be countered easily
-burst relies on hitting your Charm
-no mobility without ulti
E Charm > W Fox-Fire > Q Orb of Deception
What you can always do in lane is throw your Q Orb of Deception to poke the enemy laner down.
Your basic lane poke combo is E > W > Q though, it procs Electrocute if you took it and is a no brainer to do if you land one Charm.
R > Spirit Rush > E Charm > W Fox-Fire > Q Orb of Deception
Just start of the combo by using your ulti Spirit Rush. Make sure to position well to safely land your E Charm. If you land the Charm the enemy should be dead, since you can just combo him down.
Ahris early game is usually pretty weak. Her early game waveclear, damage and mana costs are reasons why she might get punished early.
Most of the time youre fored to use Orb of Deception to waveclear. Try using it to poke down the enemy laner aswell.
Dont use your Charm randomly in lane, as its your only form of cc early game, which helps when youre getting ganked.
Try to hit your basic combo as often as possible and farm safe until you hit lvl 6 and got Lost Chapter. After this purchase and lvl 6 your power increases by a mile.
After lvl 6 your mobility and roaming power starts to build up. Try to push in your wave or catch the enemy laner offguard. If he stays defensive you can always look for roams or picks on the enemy jungler, thats why you should ward the enemy jungle.
Spirit Rush also lets you towerdive pretty easily. Dont fear diving enemy bot lane when they are low health, just make sure you got one more charge or Flash to escape.
In my opinion Ahris strongest part of the game starts now (midgame). Its where you start getting items and damage, allowing you to assasinate almost everybody since nobody has defensive items at this point of the game.
You can go for Oracle Lens to check for wards, which makes it easier for you to catch people.
Your main goal is looking for easy Charm targets and picking people before a fight starts. Make sure to stay rather defensive once you used your Spirit Rush since youre most attackable once its on cooldown.
In teamfights try to either assasinate the enemy backline or help fighting front-to-back. This means trying to kill the enemy frontline as soon as possible, allowing you to dive freely into the backline. This works well if the enemy tanks dont have any magic resistance.
Ahris late game isnt as strong, but shes still a super nice champion. If you have items you can still oneshot people lategame, but youre also super strong at splitpushing - especially when building Lich Bane.
Play safe early but try to go for good trades!
Try to allin the enemy at lvl 6 or catch their jgl!
Go sidelane to farm up and get even stronger!
Assasinate as many people as you can roaming solo on the map!
Always go for the major carry in teamfights, but you can also focus tanks first!
