Champion Build Guide

[10.22] Hybrid Corki Guide - R.I.P Hextech Gunblade

By Shazzaam
Introduction
Hello, my name is Shazzaam. I'm a low diamond hardstuck that likes to play off meta builds. I used to adore AD Kennen before it got nerfed. Now I'm mostly Trinity Force Twisted Fate player, but I do play other champions like Ekko, Corki, Veigar etc. This build was made by me and it was heavily inspired by Liandry's Torment on champions like Gangplank and Ezreal.
Why this Build?
This build is all about burst and since you won't be hitting 100% critical chance, you won't have to hope that your auto's will crit. I don't know about you, but I'm really unlucky with 50% or 75% Crit and that's why I hate crit as a stat. With this build Corki rely's more on landing big rockets and Hextech Gunblade active + Muramana that straight basic someone with spells for Sheen procs. If you didn't already know, Hextech Gunblade's Active applies Muramana's onhit damage (This gives us a point and click active with 700 units of range that deals burst of damage). This gives us a huge 3 item spike. And funny thing is your Late game is still decent and in my opinion more consistent since you don't rely on critting. With this build, your rocket "Big One" can chunk enemy squishies for 50% of the HP easily.
Pros and Cons

Pros

Safe Pick
Strong Mid Game
Long Range Poke
Disgusting Burst at 3 items

Cons

Bad Early Game
Very Squishy
Relies on landing big rockets
Expensive Items
Runes

FLEET FOOTWORK
This rune is really good for beginners. It provides you with decent sustain that will keep you healthy during your weakest stage of the game.

LETHAL TEMPO
This rune is godtier if you are going to do long fights. You have insane DPS with Muramana and its pretty consistent.

HAIL OF BLADES
This is straight opposite to Lethal Tempo and it fits this build a lot better at 3 items since when you hit your 3 item powerspike you just want to one shot squishies. Also this rune is really good in laning phase for quick trades.

Electrocute
This is for straight burst and I would only recommend it vs champions like Ekko, Vladimir etc.

PHASE RUSH
This is really underrated rune for Corki, especially this version of Corki since you can straight up one shot someone and zoom out.

Omnistone
This rune should be used more on Corki since he can utilize every rune that it gives (It won't give him Aftershock since he has no CC). It's a bit RNG, but the rune is honestly solid for champions that can utilize every rune in the game.
Summoner Spells

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: Must Have
TELEPORT: Allows you to recall and teleport back when you have no Health or Mana. Also, it enables you to do some flanks with the Package and you can splitpush.
HEAL: Good defensive summoner spell, although not used very often since Teleport is more valuable to get you to your powerspike.
BARRIER: Better than heal vs enemies that take ignite, although not used very often since Teleport is more valuable to get you to your powerspike.
EXHAUST: Amazing summoner spell vs assassins such as Katarina,Zed,Fizz since you deny them 40% of their damage.
CLEANSE: Mostly used when you don't want to build QSS since enemy has no suppression, but they still have some pesky CC.
Abilities

Hextech Munitions (Passive) Innate - Hextech Shrapnel Shells: Corki's basic attacks are permanently modified to deal 20% AD Attack damage physical damage and 80% AD Magic damage magic damage.
Innate - The Package: After 8 minutes elapse, The Package The Package is delivered to both corners of Corki's fountain, which he can pick up after Channeling icon channeling for 1 second. Doing so grants him Ghost ghosting and one cast of Special Delivery Special Delivery which must be cast before Valkyrie Valkyrie within the next 60 seconds, as well as Movement speed icon 40% bonus movement speed out of combat prior to the ability being cast, after which The Package The Package goes on Cooldown reduction icon cooldown before being delivered again.

Phosphorus Bomb (Q)
RANGE: 825
COST: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 mana
COOLDOWN: 8
Corki launches a bomb at the target area, dealing magic damage to enemies hit.
The bomb Sight icon reveals the area as it travels and for 6 seconds afterwards, as well as all affected enemies.

Valkyrie (W)
RANGE: 600
COST: 100 Mana
COOLDOWN: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16
Dash dashes to the target location, dropping bombs that leave up to 3 blazing patches along his path, depending on the distance traveled, lasting for 2 seconds.
These patches deal magic damage every 0.25 seconds to enemies within.
Special Delivery (W)
RANGE: 1800
Corki Dash dashes Unstoppable icon unstoppably to the target location with extreme speed, Airborne icon knocking aside all enemies hit 500 units and leaving behind a fire trail for 5 seconds.
Enemies knocked aside or within the trail are burned for 2 seconds, refreshing while inside the trail, Slow icon slowing them by 90% and dealing 7.5 − 25 (based on level) (+ 50% bonus AD) (+ 6% AP) magic damage every 0.25 seconds, for a maximum of 210 − 700 (based on level) (+ 1400% bonus AD) (+ 168% AP) magic damage.
Casting Special Delivery instantly resets Valkyrie's Cooldown reduction icon cooldown.

Gatling Gun (E)
RANGE: 600
COST: 50 mana
COOLDOWN: 16
Corki sprays bullets in a frontal cone for 4 seconds, dealing equal parts physical and magic damage every 0.25 seconds to all enemies hit, and reducing the target's Armor and Magic Resistance each tick, stacking up to 8 times, lingering for 2 seconds.

Missile Barrage (R)
RANGE: 1300 / 1500
COST: 20 + 1 Missile
COOLDOWN: 2

RECHARGE: 12 / 11 / 10
Passive: Corki periodically stocks a missile, up to a maximum of 7, and starts with 7 missiles every time he respawns.
Active: Corki fires a missile in the target direction that explodes upon the first enemy hit, dealing magic damage in an area.
Every third missile Corki fires is a Big One, dealing 100% increased damage with increased range and explosion radius.
Core Items
Manamune
This item is really really underrated and not very used because people think that it not good first item. They're wrong. You get "infinite" mana and a lot of Attack Damage for a scaling item. If you compare same buy that you would get when rushing Trinity Force, Manamune looks like a lot better option.
Trinity Force
This is really good item since Corki likes to spam his abilities, especially his Missile Barrage. Also Phage movement speed makes Corki's kiting even better.
Sorcerer's Shoes
Corki's damage is mostly Magic Damage, even when we build Attack Damage items.
Hextech Gunblade
Hextech Gunblade was a core item on Corki, but it was nerfed and Corki switched to Crit and after that to Manamune into crit. With this build we bring it back because it gives us extra burst damage and Hextech Gunblade's active procs Muramana's onhit effect. Also the spell vamp is really nice and it works with Liandry's Torment's DoT.
Liandry's Torment
This item has been popping off on champions like Ezreal and Gangplank. It gives you up to 10% more damage over 5 seconds of fighting and also DoT effect that deals 4.5% of the target's maximum health magic damage that goes to 7.5% of the target's maximum health magic damage if the target was slowed or immobilized. It gives you soo much damage and since you already have a lot of burst gives you more consistent damage. It's the reason why this version of Corki is a good mix between burst and consistent DPS that doesn't rely on Critical Chance.
Early Game
This depends on what Starting Items you chose. If you chose Cull + Health Potion then you want to just farm and rarely trade, while if you chose something like Corrupting Potion or Doran's Blade + Health Potion, then you want to harass the enemy as much as you can, but prioritizing the CS over harassing. You want to take Gatling Gun almost 90% of the times Level 1 since at level 1 it deals up to 140 MIXED damage (half Physical damage, half Magic Damage).
As a Corki you won't get many solo kills in the lane. Make sure that you just focus on farm and not on solo kills.
At 8 minutes you get your Package which enables you to do roam, or to do a cheater reset since it gives you huge movement speed boost with which you can go back to lane really fast. Also you can use it to flank people with TP or from fog.
Mid Game
You should have Muramana and Trinity Force done by this point with maybe upgraded boots. With these items you can start playing more and more aggressively. Muramana and Trinity Force give you soo much DPS at this stage of the game you won't be matched by most of the champions, unless they're fed. Try to secure objectives and abuse your poke to poke enemies from objectives.
Late Game
By this point you should have Muramana, Sorcerer's Shoes, Trinity Force, Hextech Gunblade, Liandry's Torment and you should start working towards your final item. At this point you can deal around 50% to squishy champions with 1 big Missile Barrage. Also you can go and splitpush since you will demolish towers with Trinity Force procs, but your main goal is to not die and to just deal as much damage as possible. Don't fly into the enemies because you have a lot of damage. Stay safe in backline and just pew pew enemy champions.
Useful videos

Here are some useful videos that explain wave management, controlling waves and splitpushing.

Skins
I use these skins in this order. Corgi and Urfrider are for me the smoothest and by far the best.
