[11.12] THE ULTIMATE S11 GRANDMASTER Sivir Guide!

By DoublefeedOP
Introduction
Hello! Welcome to my Sivir guide! My name is DoubleFeedOP and I'm currently a Masters ADC Player who has officially completed their first full season! I peaked at Grandmasters 123 LP During Season 10 and strive to make a conscious effort of furthering myself and my fellow ADC community. I stream on Twitch so be sure to stop by if you have any questions or leave a comment on my guide and I'll be sure to respond to you as fast as possible!
What makes me qualified to write this guide? I've played countless hours of Sivir since his release and think that there's a demand for new Sivir guides and I'm here to provide them for you! I see that Sivir doesn't get enough love and its small community still has a desire to learn about her in Season 11. We all hope that Riot makes her a better champion but for the meantime let's have fun with her! She's in a slightly worse spot than last season but I'm sure down the line she'll get buffs.

BIG PROPS TO SNOWCARD [NA] for helping popularize lethality Sivir and being a role model in the Sivir community c:

Pros/Cons
PROS
+ Great wave clear
+ Utility ADC
+ Can help your tanks get to your backline
+ Easy to master, simple playstyle.
+ Isn't combo based, positioning based
+ Can help you learn how to better position as an ADC.

Sivir is a utility based AD carry. Your goal is to enable your team and self peel with your Ricochet. She plays similar to Ashe but without the high range and high DPS output from her Frost Shot. Her On The Hunt allows her to chase down opponents and quickly get out of the fray. Sivir works well with ardent based supports and builds well with sheen items. If you're playing Sivir, you're going to have to get pretty close during teamfights which makes Immortal Shieldbow almost a necessity because if you get close Kraken Slayer will get you deleted off the teamfight in seconds if an enemy touches you. It's all about sustained DPS with Sivir.
CONS
- Lowest range out of any ADC
- Low DPS output
- Has no dash, making it easy to get CC'd and caught out
- Being a Utility ADC means solo carry potential is low
- Positioning can be tricky to master
- Very predictable playstyle

Sivir is in a bad spot in season 11 because of her inability to synergize with the new items. You're going to have to decide for yourself if going Essence Reaver first is worth it when other traditional ADC's can go their respective mythic item first. Another con is the fact that she has the same attack range as Lucian without the gapcloser so she's left vulnerable most of the time. Phantom Dancer seems like an interesting solution to this and Ravenous Hydra could help you stand out in teamfights giving you that extra edge in not only raw damage but also in AOE capabilities which Sivir excels in.
Summoner Spells

SUMMONER SPELLS
-
FLASH: Flash is a staple for any ADC player. You're going to want to use Flash to get away or dodge skillshots/position better for teamfights.
HEAL: Use this when you need that extra boost of movement speed to get away/ chase an enemy because you're taking Nimbus Cloak for the extra boost when using summoners spells or when you need that small boost of health that can save you or your allies. Just keep in mind that taking multiple heals DO NOT STACK because of the grievous applied to yourself when casting multiple heals.
EXHAUST: Exhaust is only taken in very situational circumstances such as if you're against an enemy Kha'Zix or Kayn. Be sure to abuse the fact that if you use Exhaust, you should easily be able to run down enemy ADC's but keep in mind that you'll have to get uncomfortably close to able to do so. Most of the time, this summoner spell is only used when you're up against an ADC like Samira that has to get up close to you anyway to be able to do damage.
CLEANSE: Take cleanse when you're up against heavy CC comps such as Ashe Leona or Caitlyn Nautilus. You won't be able to kite if you can't do anything so make sure that you take that extra precaution with Cleanse. BARRIER: Use barrier when you have an ardent support that can take advantage of the Revitalize secondary rune and provide you with a safer laning phase such as a Soraka or a Yuumi.

Sivir UPDATED FOR 11.7, I personally like to opt for lethality Sivir. This build is going to create an immense amount of pressure and make your auto attacks actually do damage. We're going to want to spam our Q in this build because of all of the cooldown reduction that this build provides.
Situational Items
Mercurial Scimitar
Use this item when going against high CC targets such as but not limited to : Rammus Leona. You can build the Quicksilver Sash component and finish off the item as your final one.
Lord Dominik's Regard
You're going to be using this item against high armor comps such as Rammus or Malphite. This'll help you peel and grants you extra damage as well.
Mortal Reminder
Use this item when going against comps with lots of healing. You can, unlike prior seasons, finish this item as your third or fourth item if necessary because the stats the item gives in S11 actually isn't that bad.
Phantom Dancer
This item allows you to become a machine gun after 5 auto attacks and is a necessary component to Sivir's late game scaling for teamfights.
Navori Quickblades
You can use Navori Quickblades to permanently have your Ricochet up, but I haven't tested it enough to the point where I'm not sure if it's a great item on her.
Laning Phase
During laning phase, you're going to first want to take into account the type of lane you're against. You have to identify the 3 potential lanes you're facing which fall under the categories : Kill lane, Sustain lane, and Poke lane. Kill lanes consist of champions like Miss Fortune Nautilus which their goal is to get ahead early and punish you. Poke lanes attempt to poke you out and get kill pressure. Champions such as Varus Seraphine are poke champions and should be treated as equals to you. Most Sivir lanes are going to categorize as sustain lanes because she works well with sustain champions such as Yuumi.

During laning phase you're going to want to either do one of three things. First is leash your jungler, second is cheese, and third is manipulate the wave by walking up and dragging the starter minions to a bush and walking back out. By doing that the enemy melee minions focus one of theirs and that can secure you level 2 priority. Use your Boomerang Blade to either clear waves or poke the enemy, but make sure you take advantage of the extra damage that the first hit of the ability provides. Secondly, make sure you grab prio for objectives such as scuttle and dragon by pushing in waves with your Ricochet. As for kill pressure, most of the time this is dictated by which support you're playing against. Most of the time you have to rely on your mid game powerspike to be any use so just feel free to farm up and scale.
Out of Laning Phase
When out of laning phase, you need to focus on your macro as a player. Whether it be making sure waves are pushed for objectives or rotating to different lanes if you've destroyed your own turret, you need to make sure that you secure objectives for your team and stick around them because of your utility nature. Utility ADC's are going to want to play around mid lane and quickly rotate if any teamfights arise. Your goal in the teamfight isn't to speed yourself up, but it's to make sure that your frontline can quickly get to the enemy's backline so don't only use your On The Hunt to disengage or help you kite, make sure you use it to help the team as a whole.
Conclusion
Thank you for reading my guide! This is all a WIP as the season progresses I will be sure to update this guide. Thank you and I hope I helped you win your next League of Legends game on your climb to Challenger! I'm really excited to have the opportunity to take my knowledge and put it on a platform that other newer players can further their gameplay with. Sivir takes me back to season 6 ardent meta when she shined but really fell after the nerf in season 6. I still play her from time to time but I really hope Riot gives her some more love so I can play her more often.
