The way i like to play Wukong is as a tanky dpser, much like irelia they have the same role they close gaps on carries and cause trouble in the middle of team fights but causing the carry to flash out or to die. He is very good a being an annoyance to teams, jump in, Q carry, Ult anyone that comes close is knock up.

Basic rune set up for tanky dps arm pen, flat armor, mr per lvl, and armor pen quints. nothing much to this.

I have been playing with a variation of 1/21/8 masteries for exp boost in lane, even more tankyness, and improved exhaust. Ive tried 1/8/21 it is very good, it makes you very less tanky but the cooldown on spells come down much faster then with tanky. But its a trade off you have to decide which you like more

I like flash and exhaust because your often have to get close and helps control amount of damage. But summoner spells are up to you really based on preference. But i highly recommend flash at least for when you get in middle of team fight do your job and have to get out

Basic tanky dps items philo stone is almost a must for Wukong it gives him the lane stability that he needs especially while facing range character other wise you will have trouble if you against a heavy harass lane.

Boots are normal Merc Treads, nothing new there

Sheen is just way too good on Wukong your Q will hit hard because of this Trinity is a must it gives you stats that he benefits greatly from but mainly because of sheen proc. You may choose to get HoG/Negtron/Chain Mail to counter lane or needed health but i love getting a quick trinity then HoG.

Last whisper is great gives you so much armor pen with your Q you hit even harder. You get this after you build Force of Nature or Omens depending on enemy team comp.
