[11.20][Grandmaster] Lao's Fiora - Every Matchup

By laoshin3v3
Hello there!

My name is Lao Shin, I'm 21 Years old and I'm a hardstuck Toplane Main!

I've played League of Legends since season 1, and have mained toplane since season 2. Ever since season 3 I've been high Diamond and peaked Challenger multiple season's. League of Legends has always been my main game, the most fun part of the game is never learning out, there is always something new.

I switched from Riven to Fiora after playing her for a few years. Since then I never looked back and stayed at playing Fiora. Now I want to share my Opinions and help others out who want to learn her aswell.

If u have any questions or simply want to see me play, u can check out my Twitch channel. I'm trying my best to teach toplane/midlane to everyone who is interested!

Fiora is a very strong lane champ even tho she is one of the hardest scaling champs in the whole game. Basically Fiora is almost unbeatable 1v1 lategame if played correctly. But you can outplay most enemys even very early in the game.

Fiora is a bit hard to learn at first but thats the rewarding part about Champions like her. The more games you'll have on her the better results you'll see in your gameplay.

PROS

+Unique Champion Kit

+Insane Scaling

+Outplay Potential when getting ganked

+High Carry Potential

+Strong Sidelane
CONS

-High Skill Cap

-Squishy

-Gets Countered Easily (bramble)

-Vulnerable to CC

Passive: Duelist's Dance

Fiora challenges nearby enemy Champions to dodge her. She calls out a direction from which she will try to strike. If she can complete her own challenge, she receives a small bonus and calls out a new direction.

Q: Lunge

Fiora lunges in a direction and stabs a nearby enemy, dealing physical damage and applying on-hit effects.

Fiora lunges in a direction and stabs a nearby enemy, dealing 70/80/90/100/110 (+60% bonus Attack Damage) physical damage and applying on-hit effects. This attack prioritizes Vitals and enemies it will kill.If this ability hits an enemy, 60% of its cooldown is refunded.

W: Riposte

Fiora parries all incoming damage and disables for a short time, then stabs in a direction. This stab slows the first enemy champion hit, or stuns them if Fiora blocked an immobilizing effect with this ability.

Fiora parries all incoming damage, debuffs, and disables for the next 0.75 seconds and then stabs in the target direction. The stab deals 110/150/190/230/270 magic damage to the first enemy champion hit and slows their movement and attack speed by 50% for 2 seconds. If Fiora parries an immobilizing effect, Riposte stuns instead of slowing.

E: Bladework

Fiora has increased attack speed for the next two attacks. The first attack slows the target, and the second attack will critically strike.

Fiora gains 50/60/70/80/90% attack speed for her next two attacks. The first attack cannot critically strike, but will apply a 30% slow for 1 second. The second attack is guaranteed to critically strike

R: Grand Challenge

Fiora reveals all four Vitals on an enemy champion and gains movement speed while near them. If Fiora hits all 4 Vitals or if the target dies after she has hit at least one, Fiora and her allies in the area are healed over the next few seconds.

Fiora reveals all four Vitals on target champion, for a potential max health true damage. In addition, Fiora gains Duelist's Dance's movement speed bonus while near the target. If Fiora hits all 4 Vitals or if the target dies after she has hit at least one, Fiora and her allies in the area are healed

Flashhas a very high cooldown and you shouldn't waste it for nothing. You can use it to escape sticky situations or get a kill. Never waste it on someone who has multiple deaths already. If you are fed enough already only use it to shutdown the most important enemy or escape so you don't lose your shutdown and allow them a comback.

TeleportGetting Teleport advantage over the enemy Toplaner is one of the best early leads you can get. You can use it to get an advantage over the map with either Teleporting Mid when ur laner is getting ganked and the situation is a bit sticky or your botlane is getting ganked and you can grab a bunch of kills and potential drake. Lategame you always want to be on the opposite side of the map where the next objective is. If baron is up you'll be botlane and use Teleport when a fight breaks out or the enemy Toplaner is Teleporting to initiate a fight. If your Team already lost the fight before you can get there don't bother stay sidelane and get as much Gold as possible with Minions, Towers and the Enemy jungle.

If u play against a heavy AD teamcomp or a lot of autoattacker's like Yasuo Jax Jayce or Riven. You definitly want to pick up Plated Steelcaps

Mercury's Treads or how i like to call them: anti CC boots, are very important for Fiora. Crowd Controll and heal reduce are her most scarry enemy, if u get cc'd too much or need magic ressist pick them up.

This is currently my favorite item after it got buffed. It offers every stat Fiora needs besides lifesteal. The lower % HP you get the more AD you recieve, active of it can proc vitals which is huge after you can't activate hydra anymore. Mythic passive offers ability haste which is perfectly fine.

It's still a decent second item option it offers all stats Fiora needs, now even ability haste. Sometimes when I need more HP I get Titanic Hydra

I sometimes build this cause it offers an insane amount of AD but it makes you very squishy and needs a lot of time to really shine, but even before having the 360 mana fully stacked it already offers nice amount of AD. I mostly skip Guardian Angle when building this.

Fiora is a duellist champ, really strong in 1v1, 1v2's. Getting Death's Dance is still a very good option especially if you need armor. Personally I'm building it more and more as 3rd item recently since it offers great stats and the unique passive is amazing.

If u need some extra health and get bursted too hard or need more tenacity u might wanna buy Sterak's Gage. It's especially good vs champions like Darius Rengar Wukong Camille.

Guardian Angel is a great item overall, it gives u some armor a lot of AD and revives u if u die. It's perfect for teamfighting u wanna engage really deep in the enemy backline, and a lot of times u don't survive that, well with this item u do!

I only build this when I'm playing vs ranged matchups like Gnar Teemo or Kennen. But for those matchups It is a good item.

What's Important?

Learn every Matchup and how to play it. You don't always need to win lane to win the game surviving and getting as much farm as possible is more important. Always keep an eye on the minimap and get vision for your team. When u have 75g left buy a Control Ward it won't hurt you.

Early Game

The lanephase highly depends on the matchup. In some matchup's you can snowball out of controll and in some matchup's you just farm up and try to outscale the enemy, no matter if it's a hard or easy matchup u always want to have perfect CS, if u struggle with that try to improve it on custom games it's your main gold income. If u get ganked and you are lvl6 a lot of times u can kill them both but if you aren't sure about that don't risk it.

Mid Game

Midgame with Fiora you will beginn to split a lot and try to create as much pressure as possible for your team. Don't ever waste your Teleport for nothing you always want to be on the opposite side of the map to split and Teleport in when your team needs you.

Late Game

Similar like in the Midgame you want to split and create pressure. If you have enough items and play it right you mostly can 1v2 or 1v1 dive the enemy team and secure at least one inhib. But don't overpressure it and die for nothing. You have to always keep an eye on the minimap so you don't get ganked by a few people and die/lose baron.

Dash + Parry
You can use Fiora's Q and W at the same time. This helps a lot vs certain champions as Veigar or Poppy since you can dash through their CC and stun them.

Item Tricks
Fiora's Ult Grand Challenge Marks are Procable with Item's such as Hextech Rocketbelt Blade of the Ruined King Hextech Gunblade and Everfrost. Most likely never gonna use it but you can show off when playing with ur friends.

Flash + AA
Fiora's Passive and Ult Marks are also procable when being on the opposite side of it and flashing while autoattacking to its direction.
