Champion Build Guide

|-[11.22]-| 4th Time's the charm!

By Starredgamer
Introduction

Hello there!

My name is Starredgamer but I am also known as TGOB.
I am a Silver 2 player and this is the first guide that I've ever written.
I hope you find this guide useful and enjoyable!

Bit of backstory on why I chose this champion, Jhin has always been that champion that really stood out to me for a reason that I really do not know. I started playing him on release and immediately fell in love with his playstyle and reload mechanic. 1 year ago I even got a tattoo that has Jhin's mark on it :D

TLDR; I love this champ so much I got a tattoo

Currently, I have 300k Mastery 7 on Jhin

See you guys on the Rift!
- TGOB
Current state of the Bot lane

Well season 11, what to say about it...

The Season started off with Jhin being the king of the bot lane, absolutely dominating over people with Eclipse. Well, Eclipse got a nerf and Jhin also got a small nerf to his Q. Now Jhin is alright in the bot lane but easily gets outshined by champs Like Samira, Ziggs or Miss fortune. The bot lane currently consists out of people abusing OP champs like, you already guessed it, Ziggs! Idk how riot did it but they ?accidentally? made Ziggs an adc. Anyways carrying on Bot lane is harder than ever because everyone that is a bit stronger than you, will come to kill you. That was my complaining for the day, Enjoy the guide lads!
About Jhin

Jhin isn't the best ADC at the moment but that's because every ADC just gets wrecked by that annoying dude that goes Ziggs bot, Zed mid or Irelia with tp and comes to gank bot lane. (Yes Ziggs botlane is a thing and I hate it) . Jhin is an immobile, ranged Assassin ( YES I STILL THINK THAT HE IS WORTHY OF THE ASSASSIN TAG IDC WHAT RIOT THINKS) who gets more AD from items that give AS (Attack speed) and Crit. To play Jhin you really have to know what you are doing and you have to stay focused at all times. I know it can be really hard when that Zed is coming to gank your bot lane but stay focused on your health and cooldowns and things might end up differently than you expected! To sum things up, Jhin is a good ADC when played right but can be really and I repeat really bad when played poorly. Good luck on playing Jhin! (Jhin is still pretty strong if I say so myself)
Pros / Cons

is an amazing champ to play and he has his pros and his cons like every champion. so here they are.

Pros:

- Great Damage

- Okay CC if you hit your

- Viable every game ( In my opinion )

- Has good synergy with every support

- Looks really cool

Cons:

- No escape

- hitbox sometimes feels weird

- 5 skillshots ( 1x , 4x

- Takes some practice

- Is an ADC in 2k21 ( So easy one-shots )
Summoner Spells

is great on Jhin because it gives you more health and movement speed when you use it. Also heals your support and that can help you survive longer. Always stay nice to your support btw :D

Helps you get out of sticky situations, helps you secure kills, lets you make big plays and I take this in 100% of my ADC games. There's no summoner spell that could replace flash because it's just the best summoner spell there is for immobile champs like Jhin or Ashe!

is a must if you're playing against e.g. Leona & Ashe or Aphelios & Thresh. Cleanse lets you "cleanse" all crowd control off you and makes it so you can get away from a Leona that is chasing you together with her team.
About Jhin's passive

Whisper

Death in 4 acts
Every moment matters.

- Jhin's hand cannon, Whisper, is a precise instrument designed to deal superior damage. It fires at a fixed rate and carries only four shots. Upon firing all four shots or not attacking for 10 seconds, Jhin has to reload for 2.5 seconds.

Jhin imbues the final bullet with dark magics, guaranteeing it to critically strike and deal 15 / 20 / 25% of his target's missing health as bonus physical damage. Against structures, the critical strike damage of this bullet is reduced by 44% and the bonus damage is not applied.

Jhin's critical strikes deal 25% reduced damage, but grant 10% (+0,4% per 1% bonus attack speed) movement speed for 2 seconds.

Additionally, Jhin's attack damage is increased by 4% - 44% (based on level) (+0.3% per 1% critical chance) (+0.25% per 1% bonus attack speed).

This is Jhin's signature thing, his four bullets. The fourth one comes in handy dandy when you want to one-shot that 100 hp Zed that has been killing you for the entirety of the game and it's an overall good finisher for everyone that has been pestering you

Passive - Whisper

DEATH IN 4 ACTS: 's basic attacks use ammunition and his attack speed cannot be improved except through growth by level-up. Jhin can attack 4 times before having to Disarm icon reload for 2.5 seconds, and does so automatically after 10 seconds of neither attacking or using an ability.
The fourth attack is guaranteed to Critical strike icon critically strike, dealing 15 / 20 / 25% of the target's missing health bonus physical damage. The fourth attack will still Critical strike icon critically strike against structures, but deals 44% reduced damage and doesn't apply the bonus physical damage.

EVERY MOMENT MATTERS: Additionally, Jhin gains 4% − 44% (based on level) (+ 0.3% per 1% critical strike chance) (+ 0.25% per 1% bonus attack speed) AD as bonus Attack damage.

's damage is increased by 2.5% for every 1% of the target's missing health, and the
The fourth shot Critical strike critically strikes for (100%) bonus physical damage.
Items

is always a good option on due to the omnivamp and all the extra stats it gives. But is also a great option because it gives you and extra 2 plus it adds up to your mythic which is then reduced by 350g .

For the first back you have 2 options; Option 1: , is the best first back that you can buy with simply because it is not expensive and it gives 40 AD. If you don't have enough gold I recommend buying a pickaxe with a health pot or control ward, because vision is super important!!!!!!

For your core you are going to get; You get galeforce to get out of situations you really shouldn't be getting out of or to secure that cheeky galeforce 4th auto kill, to stop people getting away at 1% of hp and to get more gold (it's not a lot but it's something) and to get more range and burst damage. You get these items because they make you get more crit and extra stats, crit is the most important stat on , simply because it makes you do more damage on your auto attacks plus makes you a bit more mobile due to his passive.

When you have to choose or , keep in mind that is for when you are ahead and can dominate the lane early on, lethality is basically worthless in the late game so if you aren't ahead then simply get dom's . is for when they have more than 2 tanks that pressure your lane hard e.g. Shen top & Leona support.

I will explain the boots really fast

, boots of swiftness synchronise really well with Jhin's passive and makes sure that if you get slowed that the slow gets reduced by 25%.

this is Jhin's favourite item because it gives him the crit damage that he was lacking, in the past this would be your first item but due to the rework and the arrival of mythics it has become your 4th item choice.

As for the situational items:

is for when you have a 700g bounty that you don't want to give to the enemies or if an assassin keeps diving you in the middle of teamfights.

bloodthirsther is for when you need more sustain against someone with a lot of attack speed like e.g. Jinx, Kai'sa or someone that you can't deal with if you don't heal back like Tryndamere.

If you didn't already get this item make sure to get it late game because now is the time that everyone is building armor against you and it becomes really hard for you to do anything without it.
Runes

Domination

Dark Harvest This is (in low elo) by far the best keystone you can take because it adds up to the execute damage that you get from your fourth shot. Also, you keep dealing more damage the more you proc it so when you see a chance to W someone for an easy stack, more damage is more uhhm better?

Taste of Blood Well this rune gives you healing for damaging people, the healing isn't all that great but it adds up when you have your Doran's blade

Eyeball Collection It gives you more AD when you acquire a takedown on an enemy champion, it's (again) not much but at least you're getting free stats

Ravenous Hunter If you acquire a takedown on everyone on the enemy team you get 6 % omnivamp, and that's basically it.

Precision

Presence of Mind Jhin really isn't a mana hungry champion but there are certain situations where you could do a lot more if you had more mana. This rune gives you 15% mana when you get a takedown on a champion + it increases your mana regen when attacking a champion

Coup de Grace This is a really cool rune as it adds up to your dark harvest execute + your 4th shot execute. To be specific, you deal 8% more damage to champions below 40% hp

These are my recommendations for runes, of course you could go whatever fits you!
Gameplay

has a really strong laning phase if played correctly. He can clear waves fairly fast with his
and AA's. So in this chapter, I'm going to talk about his laning phase.

Early game:

This is the stage in the game where you want to AA/ Last hit a minion 3 times and shoot the 4th bullet at your enemy. The 4th bullet is great for harass and for securing canons, so don't be afraid to use it on a canon if no enemy champion is nearby/if you really need the gold!

Mid game:

This is where you are beginning to get strong, so start going all-in on your enemy to get some kills or/and a gold lead. What's also worth being mentioned is that you still need to farm in the mid-game ( So don't focus on kills ). Instead of focusing on kills, you could ask your jungler to do drake when it is up, you do this because drakes are always useful. Also, place your in the river bush to root/slow unexpecting enemies. A lot of people don't know this but the objective in the game called "League of Legends" is winning and not getting kills but still losing...

Late game:

Just AA and you will be fine......Nope too easy!! Positioning is key in late and that should be your main goal ( BEING POSITIONED WELL IS KEY!!!!!!). Just stay at a safe range from the enemy and try to make use of your ultimate. What's also worth being mentioned is that you should always keep your vision score up and with that I mean ward, ward, ward!
Combo's and other stuff

Some of the tricks with jhin that I found are:

AA = Auto Attack

AA + AA + AA + + AA, This is great for some level 1 damage.

AA + + , This is your setup move, because you root the person for a free hit.

AA + + W + AA, Do this when someone is on a .

4th Bullet + + AA, If you land the root and the 4th bullet, you can dish out a lot of damage on to your enemy.

AA + AA + AA + (Support) Ability +
, this is useful in the laning phase.

AA + AA + AA + + AA. this is a standard root.

+ , When you cast , you are locked in place except if you flash in the middle of the animation!
Farming

As you have to reload frequently, so I suggest using your on the minions when you are out of bullets.

Later in the game you can use your and to secure that juicy farm, but now lets stick to the
and AA.

If you are about to miss a minion you can AA or
to get it. If you are under tower and a minion is very low but you know you can't kill it with one AA, just AA and at the same time to dish out some of that sweet damage to the enemy minion.
