Welcome to my Yuumi support guide! I hope this guide helps you as you go along your journey of learning The Magical Cat! In this guide, I will be going over many runes for Annie, pros & cons, abilities, items, spells, as well as gameplay tips and a warding guide.

Hello, I'm DatKawaiiBunny! I'm a Silver IV ADC, mid, and support main. I've been playing League of Legends since April of season 7 as an ADC main My highest mastery champions are Lux, Sona, and Xayah.

I started playing Yuumi when she first came out. I've played her off and on then finally achieved my mastery 7 after the new season. I mainly just take one rune, which is Arcane Comet. Sometimes, I take Summon Aery if I want the extra shield. I update my guide each time I play her with items, runes, etc. I really appreciate you guys taking the time to read my Yuumi guide. ♥ Untargetable Because of You and Me!

♥ Mid/late Game Potential

♥ Powerful Heal

♥ Good Crowd Control with Final Chapter and Prowling Projectile

Yuumi has a lot to offer in every stage of the game, especially during the mid/late game with her crowd control, Final Chapter and Prowling Projectile. Also, Zoomies is one of the most powerful heals in the game, and it gets stronger with Staff of Flowing Water and Ardent Censer.

Yuumi has gone through a bunch of changes since her release, mostly with Zoomies. You have to use it sparingly because of its high cooldown along with high mana costs that can cost more than your ultimate. Also, she's quite squishy with little sustain. However, she has Bop 'n' Block to help with that.

Arcane Comet
Arcane Comet is the rune you want to take on Yuumi. It hurls a comet towards the enemy, dealing 30 - 100 (based on level) (+ 20% AP) (+ 35% bonus AD). With Scorch, this will deal extra damage when you use Prowling Projectile while attached. You can also take Summon Aery. When you use Zoomies or Bop 'n' Block, your ally is shielded for 35 - 80 based on level (+ 25% AP) and deals 10 - 40 based on level (+ 10% AP) damage to enemies when you use an ability.

Manaflow Band
Manaflow Band gives you 25 mana every time you hit an enemy champion with an ability. It also gives you up to 250 mana, so I take this rune over any other. Yuumi is very mana dependent because of Zoomies.

Absolute Focus
Even though Yuumi is squishy, you're most likely going to be attached for the majority of the game because of You and Me!. So, I take Absolute Focus for the extra damage. While above 70% health, gain an adaptive bonus of 1.8 - 18 attack damage or 3 - 30 ability power (based on level). You can also take Transcendence since you get 5 ability haste at level 5 and 8. When you hit level 11, the remaining cooldowns on your abilities are reduced by 20%. I suggest this rune since ability haste can be tricky to obtain. Plus, it'll help with Zoomies.

Now, I take Scorch for the overall 15 - 35 bonus magic damage. I think it's the best rune to take for Yuumi. You can also take Gathering Storm for the extra damage mid/late game. At 10 minutes in, you get 8 AP, which multiplies by 3 at 20 and so forth.

Presence of mind
Yuumi uses up a lot of mana, specifically when she uses Zoomies, so I take this rune! Champion takedowns restore 15% of your mana (and energy), along with increasing your mana regeneration by 1.5 - 11 mana per second (depending on level), reduced to 80% effectiveness for ranged champions, for 4 seconds.

Cut Down
Since tanks are doing quite well, I take Cut Down. Deal 5% - 15% bonus damage vs champions with 10% - 100% more max health than you. So, this is good against supports, like Leona and Thresh since they usually build health and armor items. You can also take Coup de Grace for the 8% more damage to champions who have less than 40% health, which is good against Seraphine and Soraka.

♥ Passive: Bop 'n' Block

Basic attacks against an enemy champions grants Yuumi a 60 - 400 (+40% of ability power) damage shield that lasts until its broken. If Yuumi is attached, the ally gets the shield instead. Depending on the level, she also gains 25 − 100 (+8% of maximum mana) (depending on level).

♥ Prowling Projectile

Cost: 90

Yuumi fires a missile that deals magic damage to the first enemy hit. If it travels for 1 second, it deals extra damage. It provides a slow to the enemy (based on how many points you put into the ability), which decays over 1 - 1.5 seconds. If Yuumi is attached, she fires the missile from her ally's position and can direct the attack for 3 seconds. It deals 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 /140 / 165 (+45% of ability power). If it's in-flight for 1 second it deals 45 / 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 +0.4 ability power) (+0.02-0.08 of target's current health).

♥ You and me!

Yuumi attaches herself to an ally and they share 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 /20 (+12/14/16/18/ 20%) adaptive force She can detach herself from her ally anytime and move between allies. If her ally dies, she detaches automatically. She also follows her ally's movement and is untargetable by everything, except towers.

♥ Zoomies

Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 mana (+15% max mana)

Yuumi heals for 70 / 94 / 118 / 142 / 166 / 190 (+0.4 ability power) and gain 15% movement speed and 5 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45% attack speed for 3 seconds. for 3 seconds. If she's attached to an ally, they get the effects instead.

♥ Final Chapter

Cost: 100

Yuumi opens up book and fires 7 waves of magic damage for 3.5 seconds. It deals 60 / 100 / 140 (+20% of ability power). Enemy champions who are "Enemy champions who are hit by multiple waves take only 50% damage from any wave beyond the first, and they are rooted for 1.75 seconds when struck by three waves." She can also move around and use both Zoomies and You and Me!.

♥ Work in Progress! ♥

Now, Yuumi can take any summoner spell she wants since she doesn't need to take Flash because of You and Me!. Teleport on Yuumi doesn't work anymore. She detaches off of any ally that uses Teleport.

Ignite deals damage 70 - 410 true damage on a targeted enemy champion for 5 seconds and applies grievous wounds, which reduces all healing received and regeneration rates by 40%. It's a good aggressive rune to take on Yuumi.

Exhaust slows down a targeted enemy champion for 30% of their movement speed, and reduces their damage by 40% for 3 seconds. Yuumi has a good slow with her Prowling Projectile. This can help with engaging.

Heal heals the caster and a nearby ally that's the lowest in health, or near the cursor. it heals 90 - 345 health and gives affected champions +30% movement speed for 1 second. This rune is good, especially for the early laning phase since Zoomies has a high cooldown.

Support is one of the most important roles. There's more to it than just playing the champion. You have to understand your job in the laning phase, teamfights, as well as warding, and wave control.

Early Game

♥ Level 1:

You just want to get level two. Preferably before the enemies level up. Your job is to set the tone for the lane by either being aggressive, or passive.

♥ Level 2:

Not only does it depend on wave control and lane pressure, but it also depends on which support item you bought. If you take Spellthief's Edge, you have to be aggressive and poke, in order to get the most use of your item. If you take Relic Shield, you have to play passively and get your gold from the minions. The minions that cost the most are melee minion (21 gold) and Siege minion (60 - 90 gold). Since you're Yuumi, you don't need Relic Shield, so you will be getting gold by poking the enemies with your abilities.

♥ Level 3 - 5:

Level 6 is when you get your ultimate, which is your strongest ability. Before then, your job is to get as much money as possible and to provide pressure so you can get objectives, like dragon and first turret . With Spellthief's Edge, you're going to poke with Prowling Projectile as often as you can. You should also un-attach and try to activate Bop 'n' Block so you get more mana back. Your ADC also gets a shield. You should immediately re-attach with You and Me!.

♥ Level 6:

Now, you have your ultimate, Final Chapter! You can either engage with your ultimate or disengage the enemies with your ultimate. Make sure you're attached to whichever ally is engaging because it might go to waste otherwise. You can also un-attach with You and Me! if you need a better angle, and you can use Zoomies for healing and movement speed!

Mid/Late Game

♥ Roaming:

Personally, I like to roam when I have my ultimate, but as Yuumi, you can pretty much roam whenever since you can attach onto one of your allies with You and Me!. I recommend roaming with your jungle, especially if you have an Evelynn because you go invisible as well. Some good times to roam are when:
  • You and your ADC recalled and the wave is pushed bot lane, you're pushed up and your ADC is farming safely
  • Mid has priority or the enemy is pushed up to the tower

♥ Teamfight Tips:

Teamfights are very important, and they can turn the game around. As I said in level 6, you can either engage with your ultimate or disengage the enemies with your ultimate. Final Chapter is very important in teamfights and you should save it until a fight breaks out. You should also attach yourself to your frontline or whoever is the most fed because they will get bonus damage because of You and Me!. Plus, you can keep them alive with Zoomies. The whole goal in teamfights is to be as productive as possible!

Warding is very important throughout the game. Providing your team with vision can really turn a game around, especially if you ward objectives, such as dragon , rift herald , and baron . From my experiences playing support, you should ward about every 4 - 5ish minutes, if you have any available at that time. The key is to get as much information about the enemy team as possible. Warding entrances, objectives and jungle camps, as well as some bushes are the best places to ward.

Early Game

In the early game, you should prioritize warding as much as possible. You can get your item around 6 - 12 minutes in. If you're ahead, you should try to ward either the enemy's blue buff or red buff to get some vision on the jungler, just in case they plan to gank. If you can't do that, ward the tribush with a Stealth Ward or a Control Ward (it's better to ward the bush in the middle of the river over the tribush.) If you're experiencing issues with their jungler, ward the entrances to the bot lane (tribush, over the wall towards their tower, and in the river.)

Mid/Late Game

By this time, you should be out of the bot lane. Your upgraded support item gives you an opportunity to deep ward. You want to focus on warding the enemy's jungle. Specifically, near objectives, entrances, and blast cones. You should always keep dragon warded, preferably with a Control Ward. Buy an Oracle's Lens as soon as your item is upgraded and try to deny them vision by looking for wards they've placed in your jungle, as well as theirs.
