Threats & Synergies
Olaf Pre level 6 is no threat, try to dodge his axes though and keep your "E" damage reduction up as long as you can until you see him starting to disengage. After level 6 do not ult him until his ult runs out, need to red smite to survive 1v1 post level 6.
Nocturne with any runes will beat you 1v1, his shield blocks your "E" or "Q" you lose the fight, if you can somehow get both abilities off without him blocking them you can maybe win a 1v1. However try not to fight him without ult.
Kindred is always gonna win in a 1v1 fight against warwick because he can just kite Warwick, only way warwick can win is by ganking and getting teammates ahead, kindred is allowed to free farm since no threat of dying.
Udyr doesn't win 1v1 to Warwick unless far ahead, however he is much more efficient farming especially early game and can easily outlevel you and invade your camps uncontested, push your lead early when against udyr either by hard ganking lanes or invading level 3 or you get outscaled.
Dr. Mundo is the same as Udyr, get ahead early or you get outscaled by him farming 2x faster than you do, look for an early invade level 3 or hard gank lanes before you fall behind.
Graves is the closest it comes to a skill matchup, jungle matchup is determined by ganks, Warwick can't kill Graves cause Graves kites Warwick and runs away however Graves can't kill Warwick cause Warwick will kill Graves if he tries. Best possible time to kill is a level 3 invade by playing out of vision in a bush and following his dash with "Q"
Volibear and Warwick have nearly the same kit, matchup becomes whoever is the better player and can pull off more ganks. Matchup 1v1 is pretty even all game, Warwicks best chance is a level 3 fight
Lillia is pretty easy to 1v1 early game or at any point of the game but what makes it hard to end games is she is so fast and mobile that she can get away with little effort and also clear her jungle faster than you then outlevel you
Blue kayn is no threat at all as you can cc him without him being able to do anything, and he is easy to beat early game through invades not allowing him to farm and scale like he needs to. Only chance Kayn has is when he goes red Kayn and outscales Warwick around 3 items. Try to push lead to end before then
Warwick defeats Hecarim in the Jungle in every way possible, Q counters his e/r, however realize your fear doesnt cancel his "E" charge, Warwick outganks a Hecarim and can easily countergank a hecarim. Just dont afk farm vs Hecarim, you win by ganking more than him or invading him looking for 1v1s, easy to invade level 3 because every hecarim wants to full clear so you can get him on his second buff pretty easily
Nunu & Willump
Same as above with Hecarim, Warwick beats Nunu in the jungle in every way possible, Warwick can move around the map just as quickly as Nunu which is Nunu's only strength, work on ganking faster than he does or counter ganking because you should always win 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 against a Nunu. Phase rush Nunu is much easier to defeat than Aftershock Nunu due to the fact he is much squishier. Save fear or Ultimate to cancel Nunu's Snowball or his Ultimate
Lee sin is a champion that plays aggressive and doesn't farm easily. Warwick can fight lee sin at any point of the game so will always be stronger than lee sin and can outgank lee sin by being faster than him.
Reksai is a champion that plays off the strength of its dueling and easy ganks. Warwick can easily defeat Rek'sai in a 1v1 making it hard for reksai to do anything and eventually he falls off. look for level 3 countergank or invade
When playing against Amumu, constantly be invading from level 3, he has no escape tools except for flash which you can follow with "Q", fast level 3 into an invade on his 2nd buff to kill him, even if enemies come you can kill him before they come or a lot of the time 1v2 them or stall until teammate comes. Just constantly look for invades on Amumu so he falls far behind.
Fiora's parry counters your entire kit, Fiora at any point of the game will win an evenly skilled 1v1, do not use ult unless she has parried or you have feared her so she can't parry your ult, if you get hit by parry it slows your attack speed which is most of your damage, do not fight her when she can parry. Easy to gank level 2/3 however
Jax "E" blocks your entire Q and R damage, try to bait out his "E" before using abilities and fear him away so he can't stun you, save Q when chasing for his jump to follow.
Shen "E" blocks all auto attacks, meaning your Q, auto attacks, and ult do no damage to anyone in a teamfight, refrain from ulting until shen uses "E" unless you can fear him before ulting so he can't use his E in time
Slows and CC are the worst threats for Warwick, that and Anivia egg makes her hard to gank if you can get by CC. Must end game early before Anivia makes you useless by late game
Cassiopeia can ground you meaning you cannot ult in a teamfight or 1v1, making you a standing target free to hit.
Slow from Ashe Volley removes any movement speed buff you have from your "W" and lowers your ult range, only way to gank ashe is from setup from your bot lane or flashing on her directly, she can kite you very easily without you landing a single hit on her
Really hard to stick on in fights, she has condemn to push you away and can go invisible with ult, also does true damage with her "E" and once she builds krakenslayer, your "E" reduced damage is weaker vs Vayne. However, you can kill her pretty easily early game and use your ult when she condemns to become invulnerable to cc
Lulu Polymorph and Ultimate cancels Warwicks ultimate as well her q is long range and can slow warwick before he can reach his target.
Maokai as a support makes it nearly impossible to gank bot lane, his saplings slow you to the point where you can't reach them in time and they walk away, and if you find a way to get around saplings his ult is enough to peel you off in time for them to walk away
Pantheon With warwick is a combination of ahri and galio, Pantheon W is a perfect setup for a gank allowing me to jump on them and ult them guaranteed, allowing us to make their mid laner useless, and can follow up roams to side lanes and invades with his ultimate. push early lead to end the game fast
If ahri ever lands a charm even if the enemy has flash it should be a guaranteed kill as warwick can fear them and/or ult them, or Warwick can engage and fear them so ahri hits a guaranteed charm into Warwick ultimate if needed. Late game works well too for picks, can pick someone out without them being able to retaliate
Kaisa is a very strong late game adc, warwick is strong early game making it easier for kaisa to stay in the game and get ahead early. Warwick can also frontline and peel for Kaisa pretty easily allowing her to deal damage freely. not only that but warwick "E" and "R" applies a plasma stack making it easy for Kaisa to follow up any engage with her "R" and safely as Warwick can peel for her.
Thresh is probably the best support to have with Warwick making ganks pretty much guaranteed, Thresh walks up to enemy throws a lantern to you and you jump on them followed up with his hook and flay, easy lane to camp and repeat gank
Wukong is a good champion with Warwick because Warwick can help get Wukong ahead early and if that happens Wukong snowballs hard into mid-late game and the ability to hit huge ultimates along with 4-5 man fears from warwick can completely negate the enemy team from moving
Warwicks strength early and ganking speed is well paired with the ability of galio to roam with Warwick so easily with his ultimate, also giving warwick enough resistance to never die.
If Zoe lands a sleepy on enemy its an almost 100% guaranteed chain CC on enemy, and Zoe snowballs hard making it easy to close out games.
Nocturne mid applies the same idea as Galio, Nocturne can shove the wave mid so fast that he can roam with his teammate Warwick into enemy jungle looking for kills or can follow up roams to side lanes with his ultimate easily
Braum "Q" ability slow along with warwicks movement speed from his "W" makes it easy to get up to enemies, and with warwicks high attack speed can apply 4 stacks of braums passive before Warwicks fear ends, resulting in a chain CC effect
Yuumis heal synergizes well with warwick because the movement speed it gives warwick increases his ult range and he can chase down enemies quickly with his "W" combined.
Zilean is a good champion to have with warwick because he can give bonus movement speed to warwick making it easy to engage fights with long distance Ultimate or can run down enemies when combined with Warwick's "W". Zilean's ult is also good with Warwick because Warwick already is so hard to bring down they waste so many abilities on Warwick if Warwick gets a second life they won't be able to kill him again.
Orianna can speed you up with her e/w combo as well as throw her ball on you for when you engage and its an easy setup for a good orianna ult
Champion Build Guide
One tip to clearing fast early is smiting buffs instantly so you get the attack speed bonus from your W sooner. Only do this though after your first clear and if you arent worried about the camp getting stolen. I do this a lot on scuttle to take it really fast.
W- use w to get movement speed when necessary but dont use it always cause smarter enemies will know youre coming for them, you can also use it to put pressure on a lane you arent even ganking cause they will know youre near. You can use it to check if anyone is in near vacinity cause it works in fog of war, use it to check if enemies are sneaking baron, hiding in a bush, invading your buffs. If duoing with someone you can communicate to teammate where enemies are hiding.
E - e gives reduced damage so keep on as long as you can in 1v1s to take less damage but sometimes yoy want to use it fast so they cant run away or you can set up a guaranteed ult
R - cant be cc while jumping so you can use it to go through abilities that would normally cc you. But be careful it can be cancelled by a lot of abilities. Can also use this to run away over walls, very effective
When going for ganks make sure you use your w for movement speed boost then right before you q the enemy start your e and almost always you want to hold q through enemy cause you can follow their flash which they usually use instantly, and then proc your e as you will be behind them and actually fear them back towards your teammate then get an auto off to proc PTA then ult before fear runs out.
Since your q follows flashes and dashes try to predict when they will use it and aave it for that or when you see the animation of the dash start.
You can start the first part of your E before using R then when you R someone it will proc the second part of your E during your ult and fear everyone around you so they cant peel the person youre ulting or you can time it to proc after your ult ends so they are cc longer.
When invading level 3 try to auto before you q so you can proc PTA faster and by the time your fear runs out they are already below 50% or even 25% sometimes so you get bonus attack speed and they can never win the fight
A lot of the time you dont even need to hit your ult to pick someone off, ulting to get in range to q through them then fear them back to your team to follow up is enough to get a kill
You again want to get tiamat asap for clearing, then on second back try to get ironwhip and boots. Boots allow you to get around the map faster to farm faster and push your lead more with ganks, ironwhip helps clear significantly and your damage is surprisingly high in 3v3 skirmishes, dont underestimate the active on it that early.
Then you want to finish goredrinker because by then most people wont have grievous so its pretty strong healing at that point and the ability haste from the passive is so good on warwick because lower cooldowns means everything for warwick, His abilities are so strong for fights. Then you will finish plated steelcaps or merc treads depending on team, 90% of the time merc treads are the better option because warwick no matter what is tanky and hard to kill, what kills warwick is cc not really damage. Thats why steraks and merc treads are so good for him. But if a team is 4 AD you want fo go plated steelcaps, or sometimes even vs 3 AD if they are really scary. Next instead of finishing titanic i will go either deaths dance, steraks, or abyssal, refer to builds above for when to take what. And then i will finish titanic hydra and then go steraks if i havent finished it or if i already did ill go deaths dance or abyssal depending on enemy team comp. Problem with abyssal is its a support item, you have to rely on your team to capitalize on bonus damage for it to be good, but it gives a lot of magic resist and warwick has so much cc you cant pass it up if against a full ap team. For the last utem the game should not make it to that point, if it does warwick is hard outscaled and it will be hard, but if it does then the last item can be a lot of things, you can finish deaths dance or abyssal, or go dead mans, or thornmail, or randuins, or even wits end or maw if you want more damage and are vs ap.
