* Yuumi top isn't the easiest champion to play in top (even probably the worst) and you will probably have some bad game like everyone have some times, but when you'll do that awsome play, you will not regret.
* I'm at 600 games of Yuumi top/mid and a 50% win rate, and even though this is a lot, I'm still playing against new champions in the top lane with Yuumi and taking notes to always make this guide the best it can be.

My perma ban

* My personal perma ban pick has Yuumi top (tank or AD build) is even though before I was perma banning and , but not anymore because I found out is more common than and , I dislike playing vs a because he will always be able to counter poke me because of his blind.
Has for my Mid Yuumi perma ban, I ban because of her root that can realy make your life so hard, can be banned too because of the same reasons, but can do so much damage easely end game too, so be carefull with your pick.

* I know this build can seem overwhelming at first, but Yuumi top and mid isn't a one build exclusif, you can build a multiple of things on it, its why their is so much items, runes and way to play Yuumi top, find the one you like the most and play it, you can even create some other builds on Yuumi top/mid and find great success with it.

Why?

Well, I started playing Yuumi in the support role casualy with my friends, the only probleme I had was that I was way to agressive has a Yuumi, I tried to much to 2v1 has Yuumi and was just failing, so my friend said, well go play her full AD top lane has a joke, but for me it wasn't a joke, I started watching the items to make my build on a paper that I don't have anymore and then started playing her top with first item ?... At least I played with , but changed fast to build (Yes I started playing Yuumi top after the new items) but anyway, after 200 games of Yuumi top, I wanted to create a guide to just have fun and to remember how to play Yuumi top myself (like a note to how to play against all champions, but for some reasons you guys started making this guide more and more popular, I never though a guide that I made for fun would be all the way here, thx to everyone for your help! :D

* People in League are very toxic. If someone is toxic in your game, just don't listen to them, as that can cause your game experience to be worse and when you are annoyed or tilted, most people tend to play worse; because they can't think clearly. This makes their toxicity worse because if you do bad in a game because of it, people will just be even more mad at you. Stay nice and positive and people will realize that everyone does a bad game once in a while and its not because you're a yuumi off meta that you need to always do good in a game. If in champion select you select Yuumi and someone bans it, just don't say anything mean and just pick another champion. At the same time, would you want a Yuumi top/mid in your team that has a big chance of just trolling? (Sometimes you have to think about how they feel too, you wouldn't want a 0/18/0 Yuumi top in your team).
* As for reports, don't care about them, if you're not trolling and not insulting or doing something wrong, you'll be alright because you're not trolling, you're just playing the game in an off meta way (like playing support or top lane).

At the start of the game, you'll want to get at your lane in the farthest bush from your fountain, if your a bit slow, don't do it and stay under tower until minions arrive. Has for the why, its to wait your opponent to proke your passive early on for it to be up again for the next time you need it. If you see your opponent go in a bush, be carefull you can try and make them go out of the bush to proke your passive, if your ennemie run at you, you want to run away and (if you need it) up for speed and healing, while running away take this at your adventage and try to proke or , has soon has your ennemie backs around to go away, turn around and poke him with your speed until your close to their tower, then turn around and do this process until the minions arrive, if you don't see the top lane, ping that ennemies are missing to make your jungler know that maybe he is doing a leash. If your jungler needs a leash, you can go in the bush, maybe be able to proke your passive and poke them before going to help with the leash.

In the laning phase you want to use or the most possible if you have or , its the only way that you'll not be one shot at the end and mid game, don't be too gready because sometimes minions can block your path after you poked your opponent and make him able to run at you and win a trade even though at the start of the game you'll be able to out trade a lot of champion because of your heal, at the end and mid game, a trade can mean your life, and you don't want your opponent to start snowballing and becomes fed, if you see that your laner is building life steal, go grevious wounds has fast has possible.

Doran's Blade + Health Potion

500 G
The combo and is a very good way to start with Yuumi, the omnivamp, maximum health and attack damage it gives will help you do damage to your ennemie. Very good to poke your ennemie early on.

Doran's Ring + 2 Health Potion

500 G
The combo with 2 will help you sustain more in lane, take your potion when your low and use to heal back up faster than potions, the ability power the gives will heal you more and his unique passive will help you farm minions better.

Berserker's Greaves

1'100 G
You want those boots has fast has possible, that attack speed will help you to poke even more and to farm even better. The speed of the boots are a necessity to help you run away or just go faster in all sorts of situation and faster then your opponent. The early boots will help you dodge skill shot from the opponent, run away from ganks and run faster to finish them if they try to run away, even if you play versus a champion that can slow like or . The attack speed will be worth for that sweet sweet cs too.

Kraken Slayer

3'400 G
You want this item has your mythic because its very strong, the attack speed helps like the boots does, the attack damage and the critical chance it gives is very good to make Yuumi a killing beast. Each time you make your third auto attack, does a lot of true damage (very good to poke and farm). This item synergies very well with because of the third attack will deal even more damage.

Blade of the Ruined King

3'200 G
The life steal of this item will make you a bit less squishy because Yuumi is squishy. The attack speed and the attack damage it gives is like the other items, very good and will make Yuumi very strong. The 10% life steal it gives will make you have way more sustain and die way less, will make you not need to go to base each 6 minutes. The item passive is good with the and the (If you go ) and will make your third auto attack just deal so much damage and with this item, some magic damage.

The Collector

3'000 G
This item isn't realy for the stats that it gives, even though the critical strike is 20% and their is on it, the good part obout this item is his passive that makes you able to have a lot of kills by just roaming, you attack so fast at this point and you do so much damage that 5% of their life is easy to get. Your kills will give you an additional 25 gold too, if your able to kill a lot of people, this 25 gold can becaume a big number very fast.

Edge of Night

2'900 G
This item is good because Yuumi is very squishy, you want it to protect you from unwanted ability's that you didn't see comming and not get one shot by everything, it gives a second chance. This Item is very good when their is a or a in the other team. It can save you from a or ult or even an unexpected ult. The 325 health, 10 lethality and 50 attack damage will help you be less squishy but still deal a bit of damage.

Immortal Shieldbow

3'400 G
This item is good to not die and behing one shot, its makes you life steal and gives you a shield when your close to dying. But I recommend has your mythic. Its probably better to use this item when you go with because you'll be even less squishy than if you go with , because with , damage isn't your main thing and the life steal will be more used because you will have more life with the stacked.

Infinity Edge

3'400 G
Very good when you have at least 60% critical chance, gives a lot of critical chance and gives you more damage to deal, very good for the late game. The critical chance that it gives is enormous and can help you win 1v1 and do a lot of damage in team fights.

Rapid Firecannon

2'500 G
The stats it gives are good, you want that 35% attack speed and that 20% critical chance, the movement speed will make you faster to finish off an ennemie that is running away or to run away from a tricky situation. The item passive is good for a last hit with some magic damage, the attack range it gives when stacked will make it easier to run to a low life ennemie and kill him without him running away, very good for Yuumi has an item.

Mortal Reminder

You'll want to take this item when you play against some life steal champion like or , or if a lot of your opponent in the other team have some life steal or some healing, you can do this item if in their top laner have a early on in the game. A very good item for when your versus some tanks that builds armor because of the 35 armor penetration it gives, then the 20% critical chance and attack damage will help you with those stats. The passive of this items realy helps with the tanks too because of that bonus physical damage it does to ennemies with more life than you (not max life).

Essence Reaver

3'000 G
Good item for the critical chance it gives, the large attack damage and ability haste it gives. But the reason you wanna buy this item is for his passive, after using an ability, you will deal a lot of physical and bonus attack damage to the ennemie, it will restore a lot of your mana too to reuse your abilities soon after.

Runaan's Hurricane

2'600 G
Very good item to split push, take this item when you feel like you'll not be helpfull in team fights after you have and another item to have some stats for fights, ALWAYS takes this item with after and then go with right after to make the proke 2 times.

Moonstone renewer

2'500 G
Go full support yuumi mid if the support in your team is a champion that deals a lot fo damage like to have a healer in your team and more sustain in team fights. This build path is very not good early and mid game, you need to wait end game for it to be good and to be able to help your team, with this item, stay in team fight attached to others. The stats it gives is helpfull too, some base mana regeneration, 20 ability haste, 40 ability power and 200 healt will make you reliable for your team. The item passive will be good to heal your allies that have not a lot of life left to themin combat, use your and in team fight to help your team with healing, damage, slow and cc.

Luden's Tempest

3'400 G
Full AP Yuumi mid is a very funny and strong way to play the game, this item will not be good early and mid, but end game when you will have more ability power items and more stacks, your will deal a lot to ennemies(even the ennemie is going magic resistance because of that magic penetration it gives), and the passive will make your deal magic damage to ennemies beside the target. At the end and mid game, stay attached to people in team fights. The only problem with this item is its 600 mana it gives because it will make your will cost more mana to use.

Imperial Mandate

2'500 G
This item will role around the fact you will use your on the ennemie to slow them off and speed your allies for them to go kill them, good end game when your team is chasing someone. The base stats it gives is very powerfull too, some base mana regeneration, 20 ability haste, 40 ability power and 200 healt will help you be able to stay relevent even when your not using your to slow the ennemie.

Void staff

2'700 G
This item will help you do magic damage with your even to ennemies that build magic resistance, if you see that their team isn't building magic resistance, this item is not that usefull then. The 70 ability power it gives is very good to scale with your .

Nashor's Tooth

3'000 G
This item gives you 100 ability power and some attack speed, you can buy this item if you feel like your gonna be more helpfull without behing one someone and just stay alone or has first item if you wanna buidl to support Yuumi. you basic attacks does some additional magic damage based on your AP.

Dark Seal - Mejai's Soulstealer

350 G
Very good item if you stay on someone, you will nto lose the stacks if you never die because you stay on people. The 5 ability power it gives is very helpfull and a lot if your able to keep your stacks. Plus, if you have more than 10 stacks, you gain 10% speed, it will help you when you need to run to attach to someone else.

Demonic embrace

3'000 G
Go this item if your going full ap Yuumi and that you want your to burn champions after you hit them. Take that later in the game because its not a requirement because you don't need the burn early one.

Rabadon's Deathcap

3'600 G
This item gives a lot of ability power, exacly 120, but the best part about this item is the additional is that it adds 35% ability power to your ability power. You want to buy this item later on in the game to use the 35% ability power to its max.

Morellonomicon

2'500 G
If your going AP Yuumi mid against a team with a lot of life steal or healing, go with this item quickly or start with an before and finish the build after. Very very important when you go against a or an mid.

Best Recommendation:

Press the attack
The is a very good rune for multiple reasons, first of all, it will make you win the trades early on and even later in the game, your third basic attack just deals so much more damage and it makes them more vulnerable for 6 seconds when you proke . It even deals a lot to tanks before you'll be able to get that deals even more damage to tanks.

Lethal tempo
is very helpfull on yuumi, the attack speed it gives will make your poke very good and help you farm a lot, this rune isn't good if your going against a top because later in the game you will just deal no damage to them, dosn't give any additional damage to you.

Fleet footwork
Even though looks like a good rune to get on Yuumi because of the healing, speed and additional attack it gives, its not, first of all, the healing on your energized attack scales with you ability power and your going AD. Plus, your healing if your energized attack hits a minions is reduced by 80% for ranged champion, like Yuumi is.

Conqueror
isn't very good on Yuumi, first of all, because Yuumi si a ranged champion, the stacks gives only half has a melee champion would get. Plus the healing on ranged champion is lower than melee. Lastly, you alredy have a for healing, you don't need that healing. Your better off going with because it deals more damage than the deals and is behing countered by grevious wounds.

Overheal
on yuumi top isn't that good, at the start of the game the shield it gives isn't high and at the end too, it doesn't work on allie champions so this rune isn't that usefull with Yuumi top.

Triumph
on yuumi can be very good if you like to duel people and win the fight with no life left, if your playing more agressive take this rune to not die has you kill you ennemie in a very clutch duel. takedowns gives an additional 20 gold too, very good for a yuumi that can have a lot of assists easely.

Presence of mind
Very good rune on Yuumi top, will help you have enough mana, even though its 80% less effectif on ranged like Yuumi, the mana it will give plus the mana your gives you will help you sustain a lot and not die when you have no mana because will give you that mana.

Legend: Alacrity
Very good rune to take, the fact that each takedowns, big monsters killed and even minion killed gives you attack speed is very great, you want this attack speed to cs better and to even do more kills.

Legend: Tenacity
Why use ? Well you gain stacks the same way has you do on , but now instead of having attack speed, you get more tenacity, use this rune if you go against a cc heavy team or laner. If you take it when your not versus a cc heavy team or laner, the tenacity will just be useless.

Legend: Bloodline
is a rune that stacks the same way does, but now the stacks gives life steal instead. This rune is behing countered with grevious wounds items or kit.

Coup de grace
Very good to kill a low life champion, in lane you'll be able to last hit champions easely and in team fights be able to get a lot of kills. Good if you love to tower dive.

Cut down

Last stand
Don't take this rune on Yuumi, you'll rarely be low life because you will just back your life when you'll be low life, so you will not use a lot.

Best Recommendation:

Electrocute
Don't go with Yuumi, its hard to get your Q and you don't have enough different source of damage to use . It can work if your going full ability power or attack damage because the damage it does scales with AP and AD.

Predator
Never tried it.

Dark harvest
If you go go full AP. In lane, try to get the most harvest you can get, you don't care about the kills realy, for your end game, use your and your ult the more times possible because it will deal some serious damage. In team fights, just stay attached to someone and do your stuff.

Hail of blades
Very good rune for Yuumi top, you gonna attack faster than your opponent early on, and it will help you cs too, use this rune against champion that are not tanks because you'll do no damage to them.

Cheap shot
Good rune to go with, the additional true damage it deals when the target has impaired movements can be realy good if your ennemy loves to rune from you.

Sudden impact
Don't take this rune because Yuumi doesnt blink, dash or teleport, so its a useless rune for Yuumi. And even if you take , you are not going to use this rune in any ways or form anyway.

Zombie ward
Can be good, but if you don't roam a lot to have some visions with those wards, its not gonna be helpfull. If your just playing in lane, the vision the zombie wards will give you will not be usefull, your just gonna have a vision in lane but your laner will just be able to destroy it and get more vision score.

Ghost poro
Not that good because your in lane, your normal wards alredy last enough time to have vision into the river. If your going with , you want to use your ward the most effeciently possible to get the attack damage and the ability power and the more vision with it.

Eyeball collection
Good because it will give you some AD and AP, for your basic attack and your . You just need some takedowns to collect those eyes.

Ravenous hunter
Good if you wanna have some Omnivamp with your takedowns. Only probleme with is that its only unique takedowns, so you want to atleast have a takedown of each of your opponents.

Good if you wanna have some item haste with your unique takedowns, even though this rune isn't that good on Yuumi.

Relentless hunter
Not very good on Yuumi, you don't relay need that speed, take another rune that will just be more helpfull. Only time it can be usefull is if your planning on split pushing or roaming, this will be good to move around the map faster or run from an ennemy faster too.

Ultimate hunter
Good on Yuumi, even more if your going AP Yuumi. The ability haste on your ult that it gives is very helpfull in team fights and when you are running away or to someone while ulting them.

Best Recommendation:

Summon aery
Good if your going full support Yuumi, way better in mid. the shield it gives in high end game and the damage to, both scale with ability power, but if you use this, your in lane phase will not be the best, your only way to proke your aery is with your , so realy play safe early and then pop-off late game with that Aery.

arcane commet
Not very good, the only way to proke your is by using your , can be usefull end game but still, I don't recommend it because its not gonna proke enough to be usefull has a major rune to gonna take.

Phase rush
This rune is ok if you are playing against a champion that can slow, I don't see the point in using it exept if you wanna be able to run to the ennemie and kill him when he is low life.

Nullifying orb
Good for mid lane if your playing against an all in champion like because of that shield that absorbs magic damage when you are below 30% life even though the cooldown of 60 second can be long.

Nimbus Cloak
Not that good, your not using your summoner spells enough to use , and you don't realy need a ghosting effect on Yuumi.

Good to lower your cooldowns in the cours of the game even though its not needed that mutch, but when you'll be level 11 and getting those takedowns, this rune will help a lot having no cooldown.

Absolute focus
Can be usefull on Yuumi, the fact you heal life back make you behing above 70% life not hard, the ability power and attack damage it gives is good.

Scorch
Good if your able to hit your Q in lane alone,the burn it does will deal a lot of damage to your laner early one in the game, even though the damage it does isn't the best late game, the early game poke is just intense.

Not very good on Yuumi in general, but if your planing on split push a lot in the game, this rune can be good to go across the map easely and fast.

gathering storm
Not very good in general, because for this rune to be usefull you want the game to be long, and usualy a game of league of legends is not longer than 30 minutes, and 30 minutes is 48 ability power.

Good to not be squishy mid and end game, very good early to because of the additional damage it does when you proke it. Stay behind minions and wait for the and then proke it on your laner. If your laner is playing safe or if your laner is a big damager, you can wait for your to be ready to have that extra range, a shield, some mana and more max healt each time your gonna proke it.

Aftershock
Don't take this on Yuumi, probably one of the worst rune you can take on Yuumi because your only source of cc is your ult. The armor and magic resist it gives isn't that usefull because your are not gonna try to jump in the middle of the team fight to use your anyways. Don't take this rune on solo laner Yuumi.

Guardian
Don't take this on Yuumi because your in lane alone, their is no one to get the shield so this rune will just be useless. I feel like this rune can only work if your roaming a lot or if your planing to give your team end game sustain, but if you wanna make your team sustain end game just go full ap or support Yuumi.

Demolish
Very good if your planning on winning lane or split pushing a lot. This will help you get some plating too, very good rune to take on solo lane Yuumi. try using it the most early game to get the platings and get money easely like that, the fact you gonna maybe win lane faster with it and start roaming faster to help your team win other lanes is a good thing when your laner needs to stay in lane to get your tower or to protect his second tower.

Font of life
Not good in a solo lane, you have no ally to use this rune with you, its why you shouldn't take it. The only way I can see this work is if your duo laning or if you know your gonna roam a lot if your mid lane but even with that, this rune seems kinda useless on a solo laning Yuumi.

Shield bash
Can be good if your good at using your passive in a good way, try to get the most of the additional damages it deals when you gain a shield to use this rune at its best potential, and the fact that when your shielded it gives you armor and magic resistance is very helpfull. Good if your going a bit tanky.

Conditioning
Not very good because even though it gives you some magic resistance and some armor, it will not use the additional 5% more magic resistance and armor anyway because your not building that.

Second wind
Can be usefull in some situation, but Yuumi has anyway to heal back missing healt, I don't think this rune is that usefull for Yuumi in general.

Bone plating
Good if your against someone that will try to always all in you like because each time he will try to use his attack on you, your just gonna take less damage from them.

Very good to help you be a bit less squishy end game, very good runes to take because you'll just farm and farm and farm in lane anyway.

Revitalize
Good with your because it will augment its healing a bit and even more if your low life, good runes to take has Yuumi. Another good point about this rune is the fact that you will heal your allys more when they are lower than 40%.

Unflinching
Can be good if your against a slow or cc heavy laner, only down side is that you are gonna be rarely low life to use its full potential. I feel the best way to use this rune is when your a bit tanky so that you can be below 30% life and still not die.

If you see that your laner is low life and staying behind minions safely, you can towards him to ult, root him and then him so even if he away, you know he's gonna die, if you can still auto him when he's not in root to be sure he will die.

This is your way to kill your laner when he is low, just ult him and ignite him or if he's low enough just auto attack im after you rooted him to kill him, but if he away after the root, you'll wish you had him.

Use the to slow a low life victim to then for the speed it gives to be able to or basic attacking him until he dies. You can at the start to for him to not expect you trying to kill him before.

- People under estimate the damage of Yuumi at all points in the game.
- People can forget that you exist when you split push.
- Your good when roaming in the jungle.
- Very satisfying to kill people (even more when you solo tower dive them).
- When you will carry, you'll be the best player ever for people in both team.

- Very hard to learn to play.
- People always think that you always have a good game and you never get a bad game ever.
- You will be reported a lot (But not banned exept if you troll).
- (can be a pros) You will get a lot of friend request.
- If you lose game, its gonna be your fault even though you did good.
- People will call you troll.

Ranged

Versus a ranged matchup you want to play safe without trying to engage exept before the first minions are their. If she tries to engage you into your minions, play smart and make her be dealt the most damage by your autos and the minion wave (and the tower if your able to). A good strat is to stay in your minion wave, poke them if your in range and wait for them to loose patience and jump into your wave or for your jungler to come gank.

Tank

Your squishy, and they are tanky, even if will make you deal a lot of damage, a lot of tanks have some life regain and will just gain your life easely, the way to counter them is to make them unable to farm and to kill them if they do the wrong move and try to cs. At the end game, if your not fed, they will win the duel, even though will help you deal them damage.

Bruiser

You are gonna be able to out poke them and maybe kill them before level 6, but after level 6, you are not gonna win the 1v1 against him, exept if your fed or have the level adventage. Some of them like goes full critical chance, so sometimes chance will be on your side and sometimes in their side in the duel. Against a lot of bruiser like , you wanna be able to poke them a lot without them even behing close to touching you, so you can keep them from taking cs without you behing in danger.

Roamer

Versus a roaming champion like , , or even , you wanna always ping when they are missing when they have their roamability (abitualy lvl 6). Play safe and when you see they are not in lane, you can push and cs alone in lane and try to get the most plating and gold, but while they are roaming, always watch your map to know where they are to know when and where they are gonna come back in lane.
