Hello guys! My name is gnarz, I am known as a soloq player and a coach for a while, so I decided to make a guide for you guys!

I started playing Evelynn 6 years ago, and hit Challenger EUNE, and Grandmaster EUW with her. I am going to try to share some of my knowledge with you, and maybe you get even more LP than me. 😎

You will always run these exact runes, and here is why:

Electrocute is easy to proc, helps you with the burst, and there is no other keystone that would fit better to Evelynn.

Sudden Impact is not giving us magic pen, and its giving true damage since patch 14.10, so it's kinda nerfed for us, but we will hope it will be buffed again. Anyway, you are still taking that one.

Eyeball Collection = Kill enemy and get more damage. Perfect for Evelynn. ====> since Eyeball Collection got removed, we are taking Grisly Mementos now because it can be stacked to 25, just like Mejai's Soulstealer 😈 , but yeah its more useful than other 2 runes in this tree.

Relentless Hunter is perfect for Evelynn since you really wanna have as much movement speed as possible. I saw people go Ultimate Hunter, but its kinda meh, we want movement speed, so i want you to go this one always!

Absolute Focus gives you bonus damage while you are above 70% health, and your passive will make sure you do have it most of the time.

Gathering Storm is perfect rune for scaling.

- S15 note: You might be considering Axiom Arcanist instead of Gathering Storm, but i would stick to Gathering Storm, because i HOPE with these new updates, games will be longer + more enjoyable = Gathering Storm >>, and since Last Caress is AOE, you don't get full value from Axiom Arcanist.

In small runes we go double adaptive of course, and scaling hp.

Gustwalker Hatchling We really need the movement speed that the Gustwalker Hatchling gives us, so we are always going to take it!

Sorcerer's Shoes We want this item for the Magic Penetration it provides, so that we deal extreme damage with our abilities. Of course, giving us Movement Speed as well, for very cheap price, we want to buy Sorcerer's Shoes as early as possible.

Lich Bane Perfect item for Evelynn! Another item that gives us Movement Speed, and 100 Ability Power besides that! Really good early item, and it makes our Whiplash stronger!

Mejai's Soulstealer You stacked the Dark Seal? Perfect, now buy Mejai's Soulstealer! If you play Evelynn properly, you wont be dying much, not dying much gives you a lot ability power from Mejai's Soulstealer, a lot of ability power helps you killing enemies more, and killing enemies more makes you get LP easier 😎!

Rabadon's Deathcap Rabadon's Deathcap is item which gives you most ability power in game. We want ability power, so we want that item.

Void Staff I know how good you are, and I know you will be fed. You being fed means that enemies will buy a lot of Magic Resist. Void Staff will give you %Magic Penetration which will help you shred their Magic Resist!

Banshee's Veil Banshee's Veil is really important item since it can save you from dangerous situations and protect your Mejai's Soulstealer stacks. Even better if they have lots of magic damage!

Zhonya's Hourglass This season, Zhonya's Hourglass gives a lot AP, so if you play against heavy ad comp, Zhonya's Hourglass can be a really good buy.

Shadowflame Shadowflame is an item that I usually never buy, since it gives flat penetration, but in case that your Mejai's Soulstealer goes to 0 stacks late game, you can swap Mejai's Soulstealer for Shadowflame.

Focus (Passive) DETECTION RADIUS: 700

Evelynn shrouds herself in Demon Shade after not performing actions that break stealth for 4 seconds. Attacking or casting abilities ends Demon Shade immediately and places it on a 4-second static cooldown, reduced to 1.25 seconds from casting Last Caress. Taking damage from champions or turrets interrupts Demon Shade and places it on a 1.5-second static cooldown. Demon Shade: While below 250 − 590 health(based on level) (+ 250% AP) health, Evelynn heals herself for 15 − 150 (based on level) every second. From level 6 onward, Demon Shade also grants camouflage.

Hate Spike (Q) RANGE: 800 COST: 40/45/50/55/60 MANA COOLDOWN: 4

ACTIVE: Evelynn launches a dart in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy hit and marking them for 4 seconds. Evelynn's next 3 basic attacks or abilities against the marked target deal bonus magic damage. Hate Spike may be recast up to 3 times at no cost until the ability comes off cooldown. RECAST: Evelynn unleashes a line of deadly spikes in the direction of the nearest Sight icon visible enemy that deals magic damage to all enemies struck.

Allure (W) RANGE: 1200 / 1300 / 1400 / 1500 / 1600 COST: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11

ACTIVE: Evelynn curses the target enemy Champion icon champion or medium or large Monster icon monster for 5 seconds. Expunging a target will refund Allure's mana cost. If the target is cursed for at least 2.5 seconds, the expunge also charms them for a few seconds and the duration of the slow is increased to last for this time, as well as applying additional effects based on the target type. Against champions, the expunge also inflicts magic resistance reduction for 4 seconds.

Whiplash/Empowered Whiplash (E) RANGE: 210 COST: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 MANA COOLDOWN: 8

ACTIVE: Evelynn whips the target enemy with her lashers, dealing magic damage and applying on-hit effects at 100% effectiveness. Evelynn also gains Movement speed icon 30% bonus movement speed for 2 seconds. (important) Gaining Demon Shade resets Whiplash's cooldown, and empowers its next cast. With Empowered Whiplash, Evelynn dashes toward the target enemy with her lashers, dealing increased damage to them upon completion as well as to all enemies within her path.

Last Caress (R) EFFECT RADIUS: 500 ANGLE: 180° COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 120 / 100 / 80

ACTIVE: Evelynn reveals her true form, becoming untargetable at the start of the cast time and then unleashing her lashers in a cone in the target direction, dealing magic damage to enemies struck within. After 0.5 seconds, she blinks 700 units in the opposite direction and becomes targetable again.

Basically, what i want to do in 90% of my games is path to Bot Lane. Why?

I always play to get my ADC ahead, its always to get the CARRY ahead, than a toplaner who might be a tank as well. Sometimes, if you dont want to path into enemy jungler, or you know that you are 100% winning 3v3, you can path away from botlane, but in most cases, after my 6th camp I want to be around botlane.
~Of course, if you have hard-losing matchup on botlane, they wont have prio and you are probably going to lose 3v3, you can path to toplane if you think its worth in that game.

Now, let's say we are blue side. I never want my laner to leash, so if i start my blue buff alone, I am smiting it, if I get a leash i smite gromp first and continue the full clear.

If I am red side, it gets trickier. I will always start raptors, since it's really easy to clear them and my toplaner 100% wont need to leash, and he will get easier lane start. After raptors I do red -> krugs. On level 3 you DONT level up a spell until you notice some stuff. Is toplane level 3 gankable? if it is, you get lv3 W, go toplane, get a kill, recall for Dark Seal and Amplifying Tome, and continue clear on botside. If its not gankable, you recall, get Dark Seal, and clear botside.
Now, when you recall and start clearing botside, you go Q-E-Q max, and start clearing from wolves, but you are going to q over the wall, so you start doing the camp faster (Can be done from both sides of the map).

There is always a question, which trinket is the best for Evelynn?

Well, here is the clarification:

Let's say you are starting the game with . You can keep it until your first back, and on your first back you can take , you keep this until 6. On level 6, Oracle is useless, since you are in camouflage, stealth wards dont see you, and you see control wards, so now you can change to again. You keep it until Level 9, and on 9 you take . You keep it until end of the game, since it helps you with long range vision, Baron steals, and you can bait enemies with it aswell.

If your team drafts full AP, Evelynn might not be the best choice. What you wanna do is always hover Evelynn, and hope that your team drafts AD champions. Its perfect if you get AD midlaners, for example if you get Kassadin midlane, you are both AP, you are both scaling champions, so the game probably wont go the best.
