Hey, this is my first ever build/guide, but i just wanted to make one, since i enjoy playing Katarina very much.

So at the start of the game you mostly have to be careful, beecause Katarina has many matchups that are bad for her and very little that are actually good for her and easy to play aginst. Usually what i do is that i try to get as many minions as possible with the Q and stay in range for the other minions to be killed, so i get XP, but stay far away from the enemy, so he can't hit me. Since Kata has probably one of the hardest laning phases, the match depends on the Champion and the aggressivness of the other player and also their skill and experience, obviously. Once you hit powerspikes, such as LVL 3, LVL 6 and your first item, in this case being BORK, you will notice that you can actually have good trades and also have a decend chance at killing the enemy midlaner.

Once the laning phase is over, or even during the laning phase depending how your lane is going, you can start ganking other lanes. It mostly will be botlane since the ADC's and supporters are easier to kill then most toplaners. Ganking is one of the most important way's to get into a game as Kata, since you will probably get 1 or 2 kills or assists. Since Kata will mostly be bullied in midlane, you will have problems with farming. One way you can resolve this is, that you can take a camp from jungle such as raptors or wolfs inbetween the minion waves. But be careful to look at where your jungler is. If he is on the way to the camp you shoudn't take it, but if he is on the other side of the map he probably won't care, since the camp will be respawned by then.

Once you are in the endgame and you got a view kills, you will basically unstoppable. But you still need to be careful, because Kata is frail, even tho she can hit hard

Believe it or not, it works. I started it as a fun idea for ARAM, but it just worked too well. And when i played the first game it just felt so good. Being able to E on your teamate at anytime to get away from danger. Since there are actual ADC's and supports on the botlane, it's fairly easy to play her on botlane, even as a melee mage assassin. Have fun with this build. :)
