On of if not the hardest matches for the wolf man, his sustain is a pretty damn good match for yours, his cleavers really hurt you even thought your damage reduction, the best advice I can offer you is to play passive pre 6, the see if you can fight him, if not, continue to play passive.
Introduction
I started to play Warwick back in late season 5/early season 6 when I was new to the jungle, at the time, I found him pretty fun, even calling him my main for a short amount of time, before I just got flat our bored of him when I started to play flashier jungles, like Skarner, Kha and Rengo, eventually I started to play him again a little bit, but it was usually just in a rotating game mode, he was never the same to me for the majority of season 6, Then his rework was teased.
The cinematic trailer was one of my favourite when it was released, and I was even more pleased when his spells were revealed. I thought I was going to play him in the jungle so much I could call him my jungle main again, but I was very wrong. One game where I got top, I didn't want to go Kled into Nasus, so I panicked and picked the wolfman, and I was not disappointed, I did great in lane, we lost the game, but I was amazed with how well he worked out, so I tried it out more, and eventually got where i am today with him.
At this moment, I currently sit at mastery 6 on him with one mastery 7 token and about 30k points, I know this dosen't sound like much, but that is a huge stretch from where i started with him, at only 9k points.
If they step up to try to take cs, harass them, wether it be with autos or a Q, always punish them for trying to farm, you should be able to win most of these fights and even get a kill. If a situation arrises where you get a kill, you get a huge advantage over your laner since your dueling can become even better.
If its one of the harder matchups, and your force to farm under tower, it may seem hard to last hit at first, but with the bonus magic damage on your passive, and once you get your Tiamat or titanic, your life becomes much easier.
At level 6, try to fight them, if they out damage you, try to sustain off of minions with your passive and Q before they can heal, then go in for a kill, in tower dive situations, make sure you have the tripled bonuses from your W, then Q onto them first, and point blank ult them. After you have the kill, Use your E to survive the tower shots so you don't die.
Also, make sure your team has some decent damage before you pick Warwick. If you have things like a Nautilus jungle and an Alistar support, Don't play Warwick, you may have a super tanky comp, but if the game gets dragged out, you won't have the damage to win fights.
If a situation rises where your laner turns out to be one of the harder matchup, tell your team in advance that you may struggle, this should result in your jungler putting early pressure on your lane opponent, or, since they know you probably will lose that matchup anyways, they would gank other lanes to try to get them ahead. If the jungler choses the second option, play passive, leaving your laner without kills while your other lanes get very far ahead should result in an easy game.
In the late game, Your job is to initiate for your team, when you want to go in, activate your W to get the movepseed, the try to get a line to ult a squishy, this allows your higher damage carries to burst them without them being able to fight back. After your ult is burned, your job becomes to peel for your carries tanking skill shots with your damage reduction, and breaking through their frontline with your max damage health Q.
If you have to die to keep your teammates alive, always make the sacrifice, if they focus all their cc onto you, its give your carries free range to unleash their spells or channeled abilities without much threat to them.
Overall decent lane phase into other melee laners.
Extremely tanky.
Excellent sustain.
Excellent dueling.
Decent ratios.
Doesn't have to build attack speed to get close to maximum attack speed.
Great engage
Cons:
Slow without W going off.
W movespeed isn't retained in combat.
Very susceptible to CC.
Easily bullied in lane.
Auto attack reliant.
Reliant on team followup.
