Why pick these runes? Well, let me tell you!

Dark Harvest allows Brand to inflict AP damage on victims carrying souls, which are shown with red circles and stacking those gains extra damage.

Cheap Shot deals bonus true damage to motion impaired champs, like using a Brand combo of E and Q or W and Q creating a stun or using his slow from his abilities.

Eyeball Collection allows kills and assists to give extra damage.

Brand is usually a slow champion, so manipulating runes allows him to go faster. Takedowns (Kills and Assists) will grant Brand out of combat movement speed.

While you're above 70% HP, you deal more damage. This rune is great for anything within the jungle and ganks!

As I stated with Brand being a slow champ, Waterwalking allows him to have better ganks and go faster within the river.

I prefer having extra cooldown on Brand since his ult is great and stuns are faster, but feel free to add the Bonus adaptive damage twice! You can also switch out the extra HP for armor of magic resist against your enemy jungle or if they have a lot of mages or champs who use AD.

Spells

On Brand, you usually don't have much mobility when getting out of fights so flash is needed!

As a Jungler, smite is needed. Smite will heal you when you're low, steal camps from enemies, and even add chase which is great for Brand.

Items

You start with your basic jungle items. Hunters Talisman is great for Brand because of the extra mana and health you gain from it. Also needed because you get extra experience from jungle camps. A refillable potion is easier throughout the game and cheaper. With your ward, you could also go oracles, but since Brand is susceptible to invades, you want to have a ward early on to be on track.
