THIS START NO LONGER WORKS WITH RECENT CHANGES
Most people start at a buff on shaco with multiple traps to take down the buff quickly with no leash. This is not the best way to do it. You need to take advantage of your team leashing and there is two ways to do this.

1. You can go to wolves at 30 seconds (wolves spawn at 1:30 boxes last 60s) in the game and place three boxes one at each spot a wolf spawns (in a triangle formation). After putting your boxes there you go to your red buff then put one box and with the help of your teammates you take it down, take q, then go to blue. At this point you'll notice two of the wolves have died, once you get blue, go to scuttle, and you'll hit 3, at this point you can gank or invade jungle.

2. The second path for starting jungle is starting at red. The first thing you do is put two boxes at red, and two boxes at krugs. With the help of your team, you kill red buff, take q, hop over the wall to krugs, place another box and take them down quickly, at this point you take scuttle and hit level 3.

Your job mid-game is to take people out that are out of position as soon as possible. Most commonly you want to go for squishies such as adc, mid lane, or supports. These easy picks will help your team apply pressure throughout the map, whether it be on dragons, turrets, or baron.

Shaco is a very good champ for split pushing as he has a lot of potential to get out of sticky situations with his q invis. One thing you need to remember about split pushing is keeping your eye on the map. You need to know all the objectives that are up (Dragon, Rift/Baron) and watching the enemies positions as well as your teams positions so you can accomplish your split as efficiently as possible. If you notice your team is setting up for a fight and you are close, go for the engage if you have a strong teamfight comp. With that said, you want to focus on splitting as much as possible if your team doesnt have a good teamfight comp. Once you get to a turret you should know Shacos potential with taking down turrets, you want to ult the turret and just hammer it down, at the same time watching your position to make sure you are able to get out.

Late game is a very important part for shaco. You need to be safe and concise with your picks and decisions. At this point you know the death timers are very long and result in a lot of objectives being taken. So picks are much more valuable, but if you die, its more of a risk that you have to take. So be safe with your picks, watch where the enemy team is and where they're going.
