Threats & Synergies
Dodge her E and Q, keep distance from W, stay behind minions.
She'll poke you with her Q and has fairly high damage. Her ult acts as an execute and you want to use your ult on the second dash. Her W makes fighting her hard, but if she's using it on top of enemy minions, then simply attack those, as your E splash damage will hit her.
Get a camp for you going, else it's pretty much a free loss.
Get a camp for you going, it's extremely hard to win this lane on your own.
Try and farm up, you'll have to outscale him. He wants to keep distance and push the wave to roam. Try to depush as fast as possible to make him pay with tower hp and keep your vision up to know where he'll roam to.
He outranges you and will position his soldiers next to your minions. You have to keep your distance to them. If you manage to get on top of Azir then you should be able to kill him, if you have your core items.
You'll have to dodge his abilities, keep your distance from the minions with his passive, so he can't E them for free damage on you. Otherwise you would have to wait for him to use his Q, or to get oom before you engage.
You need to keep your distance from her and prevent to be hit by her Q. Otherwise you'll be chunked down pretty badly as she will win most of the trades. Try to play the lane safe and somewhat rely on your jungler.
Dodge his Q, you'll have to rely on your jungler during the laning phase. Get Mercury's Treads after Stinger. Be careful when he has the Package.
Avoid getting hit by her Q. She has high burst, so try to ult it.
Try to play safe, he can kill you if he wants to. You want to fight him when he either used his E, then you just need to avoid getting hit by his Q so he can't apply 2 stacks of his passive.
Play safe in the early, as he wants to all in you as soon as he hits level 2 or 3. He can kill you easily. You'll need your R until you can fight him evenly.
Avoid getting hit by his Q and E. Don't get taunted. If you manage to keep your distance to him then you should be able to win this matchup.
Pretty easy matchup, you'll have the needed attack speed to destroy his barrels before he can use them. Just pressure him towards his tower and you should win by default, as you'll win the majority of trades.
Dodge his Q and E, otherwise you should be able to win this matchup as he's a melee champion.
You can't really fight him when he's around his turrets, but you can destroy if turrets when the enemy minions are around them. Avoid getting hit by his E and W. Ganks are pretty much a gamble against him as well. I would recommend to only fight him if he has no turrets up.
Has high mobility due to her Q. Avoid getting stunned by her E and don't walk into her R wall, since it will disable your autoattacks. If you do that then you can kill her.
He can fight you whenever he wants to, avoid getting hit by his empowered Mercury Cannon Q. You have an opening to fight him whenever he swapped to Hammer form and used his Q.
Dodge his Q. You can get to him whenever you want, but once he has his W it will be a bit harder to get closer. You should be able to win all fights against him.
You are able to win this matchup pre-6. The reason for the high threat level is simple; If he gets ahead and into late game, then it's pretty much over.
Keep your distance from the daggers, once she jumps on them you could start to chunk her down a little.
She has high burst damage from the early levels on. You have to ult when she wants to dash in with her W, or when she uses her Ult-Q to detonate the Q mark. Avoid fights and rely on your jungler.
Her Q can hit you behind your own minions. If you walk up too close, then she use her W and E to get out. She'll be able to get away from you in most cases. You'll have to reactively (to her animation) ult yourself when she uses her R.
Avoid getting poked, engage once she used her Q and then you can chunk her down pretty much every time.
Stay away from the minions that have his DoT. You want to dodge his Q and you most likely will have to predict when he wants to use R on you, in order to properly ult yourself.
Should be an easy matchup against you. If you keep your distance to him he won't really be able to kill you. You have to be careful when he has the Dragon ghost, as he'll be able to fight you at that point.
Keep your distance to the ball, she will poke with that and auto attacks. You can't really fight her that easily, so rely on your jungler or wait until she's oom.
Stay away from the minions with his E, to prevent it from getting on you when he uses E the next time. It also helps you avoid taking damage from the Q bounce. He has burst damage with his E+Q combination.
Get Executioners or Morello. Play the lane safe and rely on ganks.
Avoid getting hit by her abilities and rely on your jungler. She has high base damages and can kill you whenever she wants to.
Same as Aurelion Sol; She'll push the lane and look for a roam towards bot or top lane. Keep the river warded and warn your team. Otherwise try and not get hit by her W+E, dodge her Q and you should have it. If you can't dodge her W+E combo, then you have to rely on your jungler.
Dodge his Q and keep an eye on the card he's about to pick. You can ult when he's throwing his gold card to avoid damage from his Q.
You can dodge his abilities pretty easily, you want to ult yourself/his target when they can't dodge his W or get targeted by his R. His W has a pretty nasty burst.
You have to dodge his abilities and rely on your jungler. If he uses his E and Q to wave clear then you can fight him whenever these spells are on cooldown.
Avoid getting hit by his E. You have to ult when he used his R on you, as it will periodically deal damage. You can see when it will deal damage the next time and you want to avoid one to two ticks of it. If you manage to play around his high damage then you can easily kill him.
You might want to grab Executioners or Morello. He has more sustain than you, but you can kill him. Play the lane safe and try to keep distance in between you and Vlad, as he'll mostlikely walk up to Q you.
You must dodge his E. When it's on cooldown then you can easily fight him. Just dodge his Q and W during laning phase as well.
This should be a pretty straight up matchup in your favor. He'll most likely windwall your Q if he knows the matchup. Otherwise he'll try to windwall your autoattacks. It is a fairly easy matchup against people who don't have that much experience on Yasuo, but if he's a good Yasuo then you should have a hard time winning your lane.
The same as Yasuo, the more experienced he is, the harder it will be. Dodge his Qs and ult a bit after he has applied the Death Mark to you. It can happen that you ult too early and therefore take the damage of his ult.
Dodge his abilites and you should be able to kill him whenever his W is on cooldown.
It's a hard matchup since he can always hit his stun whenever he wants to, thanks to his E. He has high base damage and you kinda have to rely on your jungler.
Avoid her E and dodge her Q. Once her E is on cooldown, you should try to fight her. If you have items then you should be able to win fights.
Who am I?
First, I want to say that this is my first guide ever, so please don't be harsh to me.
I am a Kayle Main who's playing on EUW.
What is this guide for?
This guide is, as you can see, for the champion Kayle in the Mid Lane of the Summoner's Rift. I've created this guide out of my runes and my build.
It works pretty good in my games and that's why I wrote this guide. I want to share it.
Why do you like this champion?
I discovered that she's strong in a 3v3 match back in about the middle of Season 4.
So I tried her in 3v3 first and brought her later into the Rift where I was successful.
I like this champion because (to be honest) she doesn't really get any nerfs and in rankeds the pick and ban rate is low, so she's never banned.
I haven't played against all matchups myself, therefore some of them are purely based on theory.
1.----Pros and Cons
Pros and Cons
+ Strong heal (in late)
+ Speed up
+ Range up
+ Good slow
|Kayle has (in my opinion) a strong late game heal. Chasing and running away is easier with her, because her W will speed you up. Her E gives you additional range, which gives you AoE damage and additional magical damage with your auto attacks. Her Q works fantastic in chasings. If it comes to an ugly situation, just use your ultimate on your AD Carry or yourself to get more time to fight.|
- Can't do much without E
- Gank can easily shut her down
- High cooldown on W
- Q and W need a lot of mana
- Lane is always pushed
|Where pro is, are cons too. Even Kayle has some and here they're: Kayle's main damage comes with her E, so always be prepared that it runs out. You can easily get killed if the jungler or toplaner camps in a brush in the early. Her W has a high cooldown - with 30% CDR (and maxed) it still has a cooldown of 10.5 seconds. Q and W need lots of mana - that's the reason why you want to build Lich Bane, just to avoid getting oom. In the early you can avoid using these spells too much.|
Nashor's Tooth 3000
Berserker's Greaves 1100
Guinsoo's Rageblade 3100
Your second item will be Guinsoo's Rageblade. Which gives you your power spike. You should now be able to win every 1v1 if you're fed. Get Runaan's Hurricane as next item which will increase your AOE damage by a bit if there aren't many fights in which you'll be up against more than one enemy champion, then you can swap the third and forth item around, but you won't really need to do this. Your fourth item can be Rabadon's Deathcap if you need more damage or Wit's End if you need MR.
For your fifth item you can get Zhonya's Hourglass, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Wit's End or Rabadon's Deathcap. You could also take Guardian Angel as substitution to Zhonya's Hourglass.
Your last item depends on the game, so choose on of these:
If the enemy team starts to stack MR, then you can grab Wit's End combined with Void Staff either after you completed Guinsoo's Rageblade, or after your forth item (which now should always be Wit's End). These two items are a nice combination together with your passive.
Skill Sequence Order

Kayle's basic attacks, and Reckoning, reduce the enemy champions' Armor and Magic Resistance by 3% for 5 seconds. This effect can stack up to 5 times and a total of 15%.
Slows the enemy
A ranged attack, dealing 60/110/160/210/260 (+100% Bonus Attack Damage) (+60% Ability Power) magic damage, slowing their Movement Speed by 35/40/45/50/55% for 3 seconds.

It's also possible to use Divine Blessing to perform an animation cancel. Simply cast this ability when your champion starts the autoattack animation.
Increases your range, splash auto attacks
PASSIVE: Kayle's basic attacks deal 10/15/20/25/30 (+15% Ability Power) magic damage on hit.
ACTIVE: Kayle becomes a ranged champion, with an attack range of 525, for 10 seconds and her basic attack deals an additional 20/30/40/50/60 (+30% Ability Power) magic damage on hit. It also deals 20/30/40/50/60 (+20/25/30/35/40% Attack Damage)(+30% Ability Power) splash damage to all units around the target.
Bathes Kayle's target in a holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for 2/2.5/3 seconds.
