Cannot 1v1 you no matter what stage of the game it is, free farm your jungle, easy 1v1s.
The new warwick's ultimate can be dodged by alpha strike so it's even easier to teamfight. If he ults you then you can alpha strike his fear. Try to save wuju style for his last 50% of health bar so he can't heal as fast as you deal damage.
Can somewhat match your damage under level 6, after that its pretty much gg.
She is one of the only champions that can outfarm you, other than that 1v1s are easy because she has no cc.
Really good early damage, might be hard to deal with if she invades
Really annoying, but a trick is to not be scared by the amount of damage he deals in the first 2 seconds of the fight, because after that you will out dps him.
The new rengar is pretty busted, just don't fight him before 6 and you will still do fine. But he has gotten a lot more damage with his rework.
High damage, and has 1 shot potential. Try not to get knocked up by alpha striking then meditating his ultimate and you should be good.
I dropped them to a 6 because kindred is just so irrelevant right now and has a weak early game, the only thing you have to worry about is her ult preventing you from getting a reset on highlander
He likes to get in your face so you're at a disadvantage because he deals more damage to you.
Really good dueler, fighting against him is hard especially his fear makes you run away, wasting your highlander.
If she lands a cocoon on you early game you're probably dead. ALpha dodge it and ward around your jungle early so you don't get beat.
One of few champs that can 1v1 you any point of the game
His isolation mechanic makes him almost impossible to fight until late game. His ultimate also denies your damage output and wastes your highlander. EDIT:Season 7 khazix is even more broken, do not go head on into a fair 1v1 against him. EDIT2: After the meditate buff, when he ults just w and you can save your highlander for when he comes out of invisibility.
He is really strong vs you because of his counter strike. Just meditate when he counter strikes and late game you can almost definitely win against him.
If he goes AP then he loses against you everytime, you might have to build an armor item if he maxes tiger stance though.
Keep his passive in mind and once you have bloodrazor it should be easy. Edit: In team fights try to alpha his q and ult lockdown after the update or you will be destroyed.
New eve sucks pretty hard now, no invis pre 6 means she can't cheese you or your team as hard, build a qss for her charm, have control wards all around the map and you should be fine.
A really hard matchup unless you are really experienced. Her tumble back and blind can ruin your day. Try to alpha strike dodge her q and if you do get blinded just w and hope for the best. Early QSS rush might be good too.
Don't fight him before 6 and you win.
The only reason I put him here is because of his fear being able to make you run away when you ult.
After the rework he is more broken with his ultimate root being very annoying, don't fight him in tight spaces and buy sweeper or ward to not get cheesed by his saplings.
Strong if you can't dodge her q, better to rush a cloth armor.
He can kill you before 11, and stacks defenses and still deals tons of damage.
Build armor if he goes one shot build, other than that you outfarm him and out duel him if fought properly.
Meh champion, just don't let him get fed and after 6 its free.
A good nidalee player will out jungle you in the early game with all her insane pressure. But the champion sucks against yi, dodge her q and follower her w.
She's not hard to beat in duels, just watch out for her ult in team fights and don't group.
Dodge his snare and you can beat him once you get challenging smite. His double red and blue buff passive is annoying though.
Easy af match up, as long as hes not super fed you always win. Follow his q or dodge the knockup with your q and you already beat him.
He can cheese really hard, watch out for the level 2 invades and you'll be fine. His fear is also really annoying to deal with, meditate his combo and it should be really easy.
He cheeses laners and you really hard. My advice from personal experience: NEVER LOOK AWAY FROM YOUR HEALTH BAR OR YOUR CHAMPION ICON ON THE MINIMAP, if you can do this then your chances of beating him in increased a lot.
That silence is painful, if you dodge his q then you most likely can kill him. Never fight him when you are low health.
You have enough burst to kill her before she deals any real damage with her second part of the q. She also relies on her e stun a lot so if you dodge that your chances of winning will go up a lot. Remember her second part of q is true damage so there is no point trying to meditate it.
He is very easy to beat once you finish bloodrazor and optionally BoTRK. Life steal and attack speed and you are all good.
You need to alpha strike her q to not let her get an ult reset off on you and you can 1v1 her.
He's very slippery, use your alpha strike wisely. You can also dodge his ultimate even when it's latched onto you with q if you time it right. Meditate his e and you should be fine.
Kayn is pretty broken right now, he screws your team in teamfights if he has red form and he can surprise one shot you if you're not careful enough when he's in blue form. If he goes on you try to dodge the knockup with alpha strike and meditate when he ults you.
Really the only thing to worry about him is that his teammates get more op items, his cc is dodgeable and does almost no damage
Her ultimate is awesome in teamfights, also gives you movespeed, damage, peel, everything you want in a support.
His ultimate can be really powerful if used correctly, the speed up is valuable too but not as good as the other synergies.
Her ultimate is the best in the game paried with you, has a heal, and speed up awesome if you go crit build. (still true after rework!)
He makes you tankier, offers a stun, heals, and gives you invulnerability if used correctly which is super strong, but requires a lot of teamwork so mostly only works in duo q.
She can heal you and sometimes the silence will help but thats about it.
Offers a little speedup, heal, and a stun but can't help you as much as the other supports.
The shield is great since it also gives you a speedup, by herself might lack the full support but welcomed nonetheless.
She is awesome because of her blackshield, allows you to do so much more without being punished, just this one ability puts her above many.
Her ultimate works great with your alpha strike, makes you tankier and speeds you up, but she might play more selfish because of midlane status
Bonus ad and extra movespeed is good, her ultimate is only good in some situations because it doesn't help you kill, but when you are behind it might be worth to have her peel for you and your team.
Hello guys welcome to my guide on how to CARRY HARD with master Master Yi. I have played him frequently for a very long time. And after countless games, I finally found a crit build that can help you climb out of lower elos.
If you guys like guides in the style of a video then I have one from Season 7 which is still very relevant today aside from the runes and masteries.
Master Yi is one of(if not the best) the best late game scalers in the game,although; his early game is not as weak as most people think. The only problem with Master Yi is that fact that he is squishy and has ZERO cc. This makes him difficult to play from behind and also difficult to fit into any team comp because of his need for team initiation and farming. Master Yi requires really good decision making and game knowledge to know when and where to engage. Even though he has a linear kit, there's a lot of outplay potential with his Alpha Strike and Meditate. Because his sole purpose is to kill champions, there is no turning back once you start a fight. The build I have on this guide is in my opinion, the perfect balance between safety in the early game while preserving Master Yi's late game hyper carry potential for the sweet pentakills and hard carry plays.
Just all around good for Master Yi, works extremely well with both on-hit and crit builds, the attack speed uncap and bonus means more dps from your wuju style.
This one is superb and on crit Yi I take this more often because of the one shot potential late game. If you q auto a squishy full build assuming you crit, you will one shot him/her if they do not have armor.
Replaces the old Dangerous Game and ensures you survive in teamfights and after 1v1 duels as Master Yi
Gives you some lifesteal to compensate for the removal of Vampirism
Coup de Grace
Replaces Merciless and gives you that little extra uhmph to finish off low health targets.
It's awesome because it synergizes with Master Yi's Alpha Strike, giving you 5 seconds of extra damage to kill someone so you can refresh your Highlander
You are probably going to be picking up many kills during games so gaining permanent stats from it is great.
It's really good on Master Yi because it allows you to get gold income faster after every kill, up to 48 bonus move speed is INSANE especially paired with cloud drake
Ideally, you would want to get level 6 on Master Yi before ganking any lane. But if you see a lane that's pushed into your team's tower and the enemy laner has no mobility, thats the perfect time to gank even if you're not 6. You would usually want to go into the lane with red buff. Never Alpha Strike to them unless theres no way you'll reach them in time, always walk u to them activate Wuju Style and red smite and just auto attack move repeat. Wait until they burn their flash then Alpha Strike with them and usually it'll be enough to finish them off especially with a good laner followup.
After level 6 it's easy peesy, just do the same thing except activate your ult as well. If you ever encounter a situation where you want to tower dive, tank the turret so you can switch it to your laner after you Alpha Strike. If you get a kill and you're tanking tower, auto the turret around 2 or 3 times and your Alpha Strike will come back up, then Alpha Strike the minion and you can survive. Your Meditate can also reduce tower damage so use that combined with Alpha Strike you will be a very good diver.
Master Yi can easily solo drake at level 6 with the recurve bow and skirmisher's sabre without much risk, so if you are feeling confident the enemy jungler is not around, you can sneak an early inferno. Make sure to keep an eye on bot lane and ward out the enemy jungle just to make sure.

Items and Power
Don't listen to other people saying Master Yi has a weak early game, it is not exactly true. For early game you would need to clear camps until you get enough money for skirmisher's saber. If you feel like you can stay in the jungle or gank for a while more feel free to do so and you can pick up boots and daggers as well. Master Yi's huge power spike comes after he finishes the bloodrazor enchantment, he can duel almost anyone in the game with just that one item and red smite.
When you duel someone, it is best to save Alpha Strike to dodge something like a nidalee pounce or lee sin q. Also if you press Meditate right after auto attack then auto attack again you will cancel the animation of the first auto. It is best to use this after your passive(double strike) because it is the smoothest.
How to Play
If you are behind on Master Yi, it is best to just group with your team and fight if necessary.
Remember to never engage head on without some form of peel or initiation from your team. If you are ahead it is best to just split push and make 2 or 3 people come to you, you will have a very high chance of getting a multi kill while your team takes objective. This is when you hit your other big power spike of IE and Zeal item, you can delete squishies with 4 to 6 hits. Remember, objectives is always over kills so don't greed to hard for them and risk throwing.
Mid game Yi in some ways is actually better than late game Yi in my opinion. Because of the lack of too many tank items on tanks and defensive items on squishy carries, it makes it really easy for master Yi to delete them before they get a chance to retaliate. On the other hand, no one really has the ability to one shot Yi like a late game veigar or Viktor, which gives Yi the opportunity to reset his Alpha Strike in crucial team fights.
Almost always group up with your team and either wait for them to engage or your team to engage. If you see no point in grouping up because you gain nothing from it, then split push while keeping an eye on the map. When your team engages, Alpha Strike on to the squishiest target/priority target and kill them first to get your Highlander reset and Alpha Strike reset, switch to the next most important target and do the same , your Alpha Strike will hit everyone 4 times if you do this correctly and with the ability to crit they will all die. The only danger is if you get cced, thats where the mercurial comes into play. With your full build, you can literally 2 to 3 shot a squishy target with grants you even more highlander for chasing other people.
Remember Master Yi's passive resets all of his ability's cooldowns by 75%, which means you can just spam Wuju Style in a fight and always keep track of your Alpha Strike cd so you can use it as soon as it comes up. Meditate is basically an Alistar ultimate with a heal late game, so if the enemy team blew their cc and you are low, it might just save your life.
Master Yi works really well with people with shields and revives. So people like Zilean, Lulu, and Karma are really OP with him. He also works really well with tanky initiation champions like Malphite, Sejuani, and Sion. Always wait for someone to engage first before ulting into a fight, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.
The reason why i do not tell you to skip bloodrazor is because it gives you a lot of early game power. If you went chilling smite straight into stormrazor or phantom dancer rush, you will have no damage, be squishy, and potentially lose the game before that. The bloodrazor is more of a crutch to help you transition into late game. You can choose to sell your bloodrazor for 100 percent crit very late into the game or a defensive item if you really need it.
