Introduction

A basic guide to playing Tryndamere.

Runes

Use those runes for best effect. Other options are Attack Damage and Attack Speed marks/quints.

Masteries

21/9/0 takes advantage of the offensive nature of Tryndamere.

Items

Berserker's Greaves, Mercury's Treads, or Ninja Tabi are all viable options, though I prefer the attack speed. If you really want, you can sell the boots at the end-game for another Phantom Dancer, though that will reduce your movespeed by a lot.

Infinity Edge, Phantom Dancer, and Bloodthirster are all very important items. Guardian Angel and Frozen Mallet make you tanky, and Last Whisper or Black Cleaver can shred armor. Warmog's Armor and Atma's Impaler may also work.

Normally, get Vampiric Scepter, B. F. Sword, and Zeal before completing the full items.

Skill Sequence

Maxing R>Q>W>E is good. Obviously max Undying Rage ASAP at lvl 6,11,16. Bloodlust is good for extra attack damage and heal, while Mocking Shout is good for more attack damage and movement speed reduction. Spinning Slash is mainly used for utility (unless you're AP tryn, which you aren't).

Summoner Spells

Flash and Ignite are good for catching up/running away and securing early-game kills. [Heal] may also be viable, for snowballing your lane (usually top). Exhaust is also a viable option.

Summary

Tryndamere is not hard to play. He can catch almost any running person with Spinning Slash, Mocking Shout and Flash. His ult is one-of-a-kind, utilize it!
