My Thoughts on Nocturne: A quality champion, one of the first i've seen in a while, in fact, since Irelia, is the last time I remember picking the new champ and and saying "Well, hello their beautiful" Nocturne is best played, I believe as an AD / AS champ, He at such a low level (1 - 6) has an incredible attack speed, this due to his passive Shroud of Darkness and my first item being Dagger. Is an amazing farmer, even early game, his passive Umbra Blades is sick, its an aoe autoattack lifesteal... what more could you ask for? Incredible Ultimate, reduces all enemy vision of their own team and everything on the map for 4 seconds and allows you to than selct a champ (within a great distance, not across the full map though) and zip to them with incredible soeed and do a decent amount of damage.


All in All, one of the best Champs riot has put out in a while.


NEW: 3/17 - Added Jungle Build, since, with a premade, I will usually jungle with nocturne

- Threw a Bloodthirster on the end to replace the Wriggles Lantern if you even make it that far...

Alright... well I found that the rune buttons are so broken on that creation page that i wasent even going to try... but hey, x9 on all the lesser greaters and x3 on the quint you know the deal. Why more damage in runes than attack speed? with my build you will only need a little extra attack speed to fully cap your AS in game end build.

Ok... so... Pro skill sequence... how I do it...

When Jumping Someone
R -> Q -> E -> W

Essentially what im doing here is Ulting in, using Duskbringer, than applying Unspeakable Horror the DoT / Fear, than using Shroud of darkness hoping i get hit before the fear and get a double passive ability bonus on my W to double the attack speed and shread down the opponent.

Early Game

First I grab the Dagger and make my way towards the Berserker's Greaves I usually grab my first blood ( in the couple games i've gotten to play). Between my Q Duskbringer and my passive 20% out of my W Shroud of Darkness I can take down most champs in the lane for the easy First Blood. I'll make a Zeal as fast as I can, slowly feeding myself.

Mid Game

So by now I've got my Phantom Dancer and working my way towards a BF sword to grab my Bloodthirster, I'll grab a Vampiric Embrace if i need for laning. My mid game tips are to be hungry, if your lurking, lurk around mid, so when an opportunity rises, wether it be top, bot or mid, your range for your ult is always there to snag the kills.

I PROMIS, the most important thing to do with Nocturne is to FEED, be hungry, aggressive and SMART and with your ult you will snag kills people, i promis. Check my skill Sequence for now to annaihilate (yea probably spelt wrong...idgaf) people.

Late Game

This is when it gets real. Team fights are composed of my pro lurk abilities and using my ult at the perfect time to scramble enemys and give our team the edge on the team fight. ( With me diving in grabing the quatra kill while were at it). haha.. but really, i got that quatra kill first time with the champ... i was proud :)

Aside from that..

Why Frozen Mallet after the Bloodthirster? at this point im usually dominating, and I like the passive slow, and the health is crucial to beef up nocturne a bit, cause his greatest weakness is his squishyness.

SLAP A BLACK CLEAVER ON IT WHY DONT YA...

well maybe i will...? Ultimate AD / AS item... why didnt I get this earlier? ( the real answer to that rhetorical statement, so people dont get confused, is because black cleaver is one of those expensive slap it on their items after you get your killing spree going, terrible early game item choice. perfect for nocturne.. amazing against the beefy guys like garen, rammus and renekt to just chomp at.

Infinity Edge.. Really? ... yes... i really questioned this... wether to put a banshee vail or something to help me live.. but than i decided to be wild... INFINITY EDGE... YES. so i did it... and than nocturne went beastmode and finished the game than and their with some pro backdoor AD/AS madness, one of those Yi like things to happen when your storming the enemys castle.. or towers to correct myself... and all of a sudden you loose cause yi ninjad one of your inhibitors and your last 2 towers and core... well needless to say nocturne does it.. BETTER

Please let me know how you like it, Its done me great success so far, obviously the champ hasent been out for that long now as i write this, but I think he will become a favorite for a lot of people
