About the Author

About the Author Rednblue...

Hello, I am Rednblue, I am a high mastery Lucian player who doesn't play him Attack damage carry(ADC) often. I usually play him Jungle and Top, sometimes middle too. I have a Lucian Top Build and you might have checked that one out. But this build is a lot more exciting and Lucian Jungle does work very well. If you have played Jungle a lot, im sure you know the feeling of the happiness that comes when you find a champion who everybody thinks can't Jungle and you Jungle with them just fine. Its pretty cool...

Lucian jungle is really just satisfying and nice for an experienced Jungle player. Like I said before, as a Jungler there is always a champion that you can test your limits to and for experienced Jungler players such as myself, you just feel so happy when you can do something that nobody else does and there isn't one other Lucian Jungle Build or guide that is up to date, plus not many people know about Lucian Jungle and I just wanted to give us Junglers an extra freedom pick.

I play Lucian as a fun but working pick in the Jungle, and I have made it work over the course of my Lucian Jungle games and I win a lot of the games and if I lose I usually am doing well considering losing as Lucian Jungle.

Now to get on to the Lucian stuff and stop talking randomly to have some good writing days.
About Lucian Jungle

About Lucian Jungle By Rednblue

Lucian Jungle is a harder more advanced elevation for advanced players like myself. Lucian in the Jungle is a lot different from in lane, you will never run out of mana, but your first clear is completely dog ****.

First Clear

Your first clear is going to have a buff, 2 camp, then your next buff unless you didnt combo your camps right and dont have level 3.

Lucians first clear if you didn't read already is complete dog dung. So, you will still start bottom side but your clear is going to be a bit wonky just for you info before you read further, it will not be like your other clears in the Jungle.

You will start your buff, then go to the nearest monster, Gromp on red side and Raptors on blue side. You will be able to clear that fully but then depending on what you bought(I usually go for a more aggressive start in the Jungle and I take control wards)you may or may not be able to take a third camp completely before dying, coming back and finishing it, then moving onto the next buff.

I would preferably take control wards with the hail blade due to the fact that I suck with potions somehow. I do worst clearing with the potions than I do without them. You may feel this way and if that's the case for you too, just take control wards for early vision so that you can get some early plays or OBJectives.

If your Blue side you go Red buff, raptors, wolves - blue buff, scuttle bug or finish off the wolves.

If your red side, go blue buff, Gromp , skip wolves, go to raptors, clear as much of those as you can, come back take red buff with your death items and then finish off your raptors.

Make sure to ward the buff your going to be leaving when you die as if your playing with a smart player as myself, they will invade your Jungle while your dead and steal everything and you will be done for the game. You will 100% need to have your laners help if your playing against good players. They will take advantage of your stupidity if it is ranked and they will bust you up.

Lucian Jungle Items by Rednblue

As Lucian Jungle like Lucian top, you want to kite the enemy team well, so you will pretty much try to every time take a Galeforce for the extra speed, the dash, and the damage. Galeforce should be your default go to pick on Lucian, take Kraken Slayer if you really think your team is going to have a problem kiting a Juggernaut later in the game, Juggernaut or a tank with a lot of utility and/or threat to you and your team.

Immortal Shieldbow is the item you want to reframe from buying at all costs on Lucian. Obviously if you need it buy it as it will give you stats as good as the other Marksmen items but its a defensive item so your going to have to play defensively if your going to buy it. If you buy it and nobody can kill you anyways, you have wasted it. The time that any adc, marksman should think about taking this is when an ASSASSIN that has good MOBILITY, AND HIGH BURST is on the enemy team. The shield is for protection against burst, not for protecting yourself from the other attack damage carry (adc), for burst damage, and who deals burst damage better than some mages, BUT MOSTLY ASSASSINS. so build Immortal Shieldbow when the enemy team has a fed Ekko or Fizz, something like that.
Lucian Runes

Lucian Runes by Rednblue

Lucian Jungle is a lot like Lucian top rune wise so here are the runes that you can even think of thinking about. Other runes that aren't shown below are not going to ever be used in Lucian Jungle, some will be shown as an example as to what you should be thinking when you think of Lucian Jungle.

Lethal Tempo is not a great rune for Lucian Jungle just like it isn't for Lucian top. You would want to build more attack speed in his build if you were to do that, but this build is to make you use lightslinger a lot more and to get your dash back very fast. Not a good rune on Lucian Jungle.

Fleet Footwork is actually a better rune for Lucian when it comes to Jungling with him. This will help a lot with the first clear and possibly even allow you to survive the whole first clear depending how how much you move and your pathing. But other than that it won't be much of a help so for a straightfoward answer, color=#CC9C00][Fleet Footwork is an OK rune on Lucian jungle[/color].

Press the Attack like with Lucian top is going to be the best overall rune for Lucian as it allows for early power which boosts Lucian a lot even throughout the game it will remain useful and it is a powerful rune. Overall great rune, great rune for Lucian if not the BEST rune on Lucian.

Electrocute is a decent rune on Lucian but it isn't the best, this is for burst damage and as Lucian you want to be constantly outputting damage at a constant rate. This can be a good rune keystone on Lucian but it defeats the purpose of what Lucian regularly does.

That is about everything rune-wise for Lucian Jungle and now I will move onto levels and objectives.

Rune Pages Information:

For the Regular LucianJungle runes that is the base and normal build as you will not be building pretty much any healing you in turn for more sustain take, Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter. This helps a lot over the course of the game allowing you to in the end have healed back enough health to fill your life bar up 3-5 times at about a 30 minute game put together possibly.

Now for the Lucian Jungle 2.0 Runes, this will make your game a lot more fun and just total cheese. First you have Waterwalking which helps a lot when Jungling and making some roam plays in the river to help your Jungler as a Middle laner or something but what's really going to be fun is Transcendence which allows you at level 11 to reduce your remaining cool downs by 20% which is just adding onto Navori Quickblades, keep note this might get a bit excessive at times as if your cool downs are already back this won't do much good. But just the thought of never ending spamming of your abilities really makes you feel the stupidity that you can do at the right time.
Jungle Objectives & Levels

Lucian Jungle Objective Taking & Leveling by Rednblue

Like a lot of other Junglers, Lucian can take the Rift Herald objective easily without a doubt at level 6 with at least one back to buy items at base. I wouldn't try to take any of the Drakes so fast though solo, the drakes will be a pain as Lucian Jungle as you need a lot of attack speed and damage, along with sustain to be able to survive the drake solo. You cannot level 4 or 5 it as Lucian like you could with Nunu & Willump unless you gave up your smite and give yourself the risk of STILL dying and possibly getting the drake stolen from you.

Later in the game though you can solo drake easily, if you are an experienced Jungler you won't even have to guess when the time is as you will feel the amount of damage and sustain the drakes will have. Ive never solo'ed a drake as Lucian jungle before 20 minutes but I'm sure that you could solo it after you have your mythic item fully built. Once you have a solid 3 items 2 legendaries and 1 mythic plus boots maybe you can solo the drake unless if its elder. I would never try to solo elder as it is a strong objective that is in high-demand and nobody will give this up easily without a trade for a Baron or something you value very much.

Jungler Objective Basics

As a Jungler you are going to be focusing on one of these four Jungle Institute Activities or JIA - Farming - You try to get as much gold and cs as possible as fast as you can by any means Necessary. Dueling - You track down the enemy teams Jungler to fight them and kill them usually resulting in them not getting their powerspikes and you winning the game by any means necessary. Objective Taking - You take Drakes, the rift heralds, Barons you know which objectives to prioritize in any given situation. Ganking - You keep up in level while helping your team snowball and thrive as efficiently as possible, this is hard for a decent amount of people to do as it takes some experience to know how to be efficient.

Drakes

When it comes to prioritizing Drakes sometimes it can be hard if you aren't experienced but this will help you get a good understanding of which drakes to take and which drakes you CAN give up if needed or if there is a better objective available.

[Infernal Drake]
The Infernal drake is the one and only drake that is great in any situation no matter the game,Infernal drake gives extra damage that is adaptive so it will change based on your champions damage type. This drake should be a no brainer to take and you should not try to give this up as it is a great powerspike and it will change the course of a game a good deal.

Mountain Drake
The Mountain Drake is a great drake to have when going against a team with a lot of close range bruiser damage dealers, these types of champions will usually take Conqeuror or something similar. This is a great drake to have when going against a team with champions like these, Yone, Darius, Sett, Yasuo, Fiora, Yorick, Nasus, ect.

Ocean Drake
The Ocean Drake is a great drake when the enemy team has a strong marksman and/or a longer range mage. What this drake will do is allow you to regenerate health faster from the poke that these types of champions will shoot at you. ultimately allowing you to maintain a good health and be able to Come back and fight without backing. Champions that this is great against are champions that will use Arcane Comet, Summon Aery, ect. Of course Marksman is an obvious role and is very definitive but for the long range mages those would consist of champions like these, Xerath, Zyra, Janna, Lux, ect.

Cloud Drake
The Cloud Drake is a great Drake to have when you have powerful ultimates on your team. Its really simple, champions that have powerful ultimates would be, Shen, Karthus, Xerath, Orianna, ect.

Other Buffs:

Rift Herald
Rift Herald is a good Epic Monster for pushing lanes and getting tower plating, I would make sure to get the first one pre-14 when tower plating falls.

Baron Nashor
Baron Nashor is a great buff for finishing off the losing enemy team by pushing the waves. You usually take this objective after getting an inhibitor allowing you to super power up your super minions for a strong push.
