play as a kite mage, you can still one clip squishy champions if you hit charm first but dont really play her as an assassin.

on early game dont try to roam too much and focus on farming because you will have no damage, always put some wards to avoid getting ganked by jgl. Try to poke your opponent to charge your Manaflow Band on first waves and after first back do the same for your Tear of the Goddess

on mid game you can still focus on farming or help other lanes by roaming. if you are fed try to stall the game as much as you can and aim for the late game. After you finished Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Archangel's Staff, you will have 45% CDR and also 15% Summoner Spell CDR

on late game this is where you shine, you will have a good amount of health from Rod of Ages and Morellonomicon, also a shield active from Seraph's Embrace that will help you survive most of the fights. You will also get a huge amount of AP from Seraph's Embrace, Rabadon's Deathcap and Gathering Storm so you can scale very well on your opponent team and be really scary.

Cleanse against strong cc, also a nice bait ability, this is what i take 50% of the time
Ignite works very well with ahri if you wanna do more damage, most of the ahri players take this one
Exhaust against strong ad, also great for helping a gank
Teleport getting to lane faster, roaming
