Summoner Spells

Flash: I my opinion Flash is the most useful Summoner Spell for Akali because, you can use it for catching up a low enemy with Flash + Shadow Dance, that gives you very good possibilities for a kill. You can also use it as a very strong surviveability. You can use it through walls or you can throw your Shroud, pull the enemy inside and when the shroud is about to disappear you use flash. It would save you a lot of times.

Ignite: with the mastery Burning Embers you get 10+ AP which is very useful in early game, Ignite is also a excellent spell for a lot of kills in early game.

Masteries

I have chosen a 21-6-3 talent tree.
I have picked 21 in offense for extra: Ability Power, Magic Penetration, Attack Damage, Armor Penetration for much better damage.
The last 9 points I have divided with 6 in Defense and 3 in Utility. I have choosen bonus Armor, Magic Resistance and Health Regen for some extra surviveability.l

Abilties

Twin Disciplines (Passive): This is what makes Akali to a very strong hybrid. She gains bonus damage for every 5 AP and spell vampire for every 10 AD.

Mark of the Assassin: (Q) The most of Akali's damage is from this ability. It can be used for: harassing people, kill steal, jungle and make a lot of damage if you can make the double burst damage. I prefer this tactic inside Shroud: For the double hit you throw it at your enemy, then wait until the Mark is ready again, autoattack use it again and autoattack. Then you can make bunches of damage on few seconds.

Twilight Shroud: (W) This one is Akali's stealth ability. It is very nice for you when the enemies have almost killed you. I use it for checking bushes, escaping, kill enemies while they towerdive + 1v1 fights, slow enemies or trick the enemies when you are escaping. Sometimes there is some enemy champions who are to dumb and greedy so they could towerdive or just running through it and thinks you keep running. At tower you can throw it when they come to survive or let them hit you once more (depends on how low you are) and then use it so they get slowed and then it could be an easy kill. You can also as I said trick the enemy and then run in the other direction and use Shadow Dance at an enemy creep to improve your distance to the enemy champion, and then flee in to the woods.

Cresent Slash: (E) This is the only AoE ability Akali got. I use it for farming in lanes or bursting down the enemy. This ability gets improved with both AP and AD.

Shadow Dance: (R) This is Akali's ultimate. When Akali engages an enemy, it won't get away. You can use it for a lot of things: escape, chase the enemy fast with the highly amount of damage it deals, kill steal and surprise attacks.

My burst rotation: Q->R-> Autoattack -> Q->E-> Q -> W if you have too.

Runes

Greater Mark of Insightx9 (8,55): Magic Penetration boosts your damage.
Greater Seal of Potencyx9 (5,31): Will help you activate and improve Descipline of Force. It also improves: Mark of the Assasin (Q), Cresent Slash (E) and Shadow Dance (R)
Greater Glyph of Potencyx9(8,91): Same as above.
Greater Quintessence of Insigt: 3x Greater Quintessence of Insight for the extra Magic Penetration which will increase the damage by all of the spells.

Items

Core Items:
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Lich Bane
Rabadon's Deathcap
Mejai's Soulstealer

Dorans Blade: It will activate the passive which gives spellvamp, very useful in early game (sell it when you are going to buy Deathcap, or when you got full inventory and have to buy a important item)
Boots of Swiftness: I prefer these beacuse they have a lot of speed and it is good for Akali, it will help you catch up enemies or get away faster. You can also buy Mercury's Treads if the team got very much CC, or Sorcerese's Shoes for the Magic Penetration.
Sheen -> Lich Bane: Very important to buy, because of the high amount of damage. (The third core item you have to finish)Buy Lich bane after Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
Mejai's Soulstealer: A very good item because of the high amount Ability Power you get. (The first Core item you have to finish)
Hextech Revolver -> Hextech Gunblade: Very nice for Akali because of the Spell Vamp, Life Steal, AP and AD.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter: Is very good because of the 80+ AP and the 500+ helth, plus you will be able to cite/slow the enemy with Shadow Dance and Mark of the Assassin.(The second Core item you have to finish)
Rabadon's Deathcap: It is the last item to make your build fantastic and done. It will give you ****loads Ability Power and the 30% bonus is just exceptional!

When you are going to gank enemies buy Elixir of Brilliance for the extra AP. Also when you have finished all items buy Elixir of Brilliance, Fortitude and Agility everytime you have money for it. It will boost your damage!

Gameplay

Early Game: Go middle lane, but if that isn't available go with a tank or a very good carry. In early game you have to play a little defensive, but when you the chance shows up, do some harassment. Last hit the creeps and don't die. If it is possible you will have to get 1-3 kills before you reach level 6. Every time your team is ready you have to kill the dragon.

Mid Game: In the middle of the game you will have some kills and maybe 8-12 stacks with Mejai's Soulstealer. In level 8-18 you have to gank a lot. Akali is the strongest ganker and if you can get 20 stacks Mejai's it's a win. Also it would be a great idea for you to kill Golem and Lizard buff everytime they respawn, because they are prety good.

Late Game: In late game you will have a bunch of kills, if it's a good game and you will be able to kill tower and heroes very fast. You would still need to kill Golem, Lizard and now Baron and buy all 3 flasks. In late game your awesome build should be done. In late game people will buy Oracle, so everytime you see an enemy be sure they haven't oracle or else your surviveabilities are minimized. And now it shouldn't be that hard to win, if the game isn't finished already.
