Introduction

Amumu is one of the BEST tanks available in the League of Legends today.
The following build/guide helps you play fearlessly, chasing after enemy champions while you cry and tear them apart.

Masteries

I prefer a 0/21/9 masteries setup, allows me to feel safe and regenerate sufficiently quick.

Items

Start with a regrowth pendant and a mana potion.
Lane defensively using your tantrums sparingly to save mana.

When you hit 715 gold, return to base and buy Boots of Speed and convert your Regrowth Pendant into a Philosophers Stone. If you can sustain in your lane until you have 1565 gold instead of 715, buy Heart of Gold as well.

This is your core early game build. This should now ensure you will have a surge of gold throughout the game. Keep these two items for as long as possible before you convert them into Shurelya's Reverie and Randuin's Omen late game.

On your next trip get Boots of Swiftness and a Giant Belt and if possible the entire Sunfire Cape. This item works brilliantly with your Despair to cause a lot of pain to enemy champions/clear minion waves in a jiffy or get your buffs at super speed!

Now comes the decision point, incase your team is not in advantage position, go for either Thornmail (against mainly AD opponents) or a FoN (against AP opponents), but, if your team is fairly strong, go striaght for a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. This will fortify your abilities and give you crazy OP leverage. You can actually use Ghost/Flash + Bandage Toss + Despair and just run behind enemy chapions and get easy kills.

Next, get a Guardian Angel, this allows you to go as deep as you wish, inititating ganks, taking hits for the team, while your team ADs gobble up the opponents. Since, you will be focussed on completely, instant rebirth will give you just the edge you need to wipe out all 5 :)

If the game is still not over, upgrade your Philosopher's Stone into a Shurelya's Reverie and the Heart of Gold into Randuin's Omen. Health/Health Regen/RO Active will all make finishing the game a walk in the park.

Hope you enjoy this build :)
Cheers~!
