Passive: Arcane Comet is pretty good rune and its used a lot for poke, while you can use you’re (Q) Bandage Toss or (Ultimate) Curse of the Sad Mummy the Arcane Comet Will fly to the enemy location to hit them and deals more damage.
Nimbus Cloak Passive is very good to use it after your ultimate you can go forward to chase someone whom running away with low hp, you can use your Curse of the Sad Mummy in an empty zone just to boost your movement speed then you can chase the target with your Bandage Toss.
TranscendencePassive: Gain 10% Cooldown reduction at level 10, yes this will help you more to get your ultimate ready faster because Amumu ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy has 155 sec cool down with the Transcendence you gonna reduce 10% until you get CDR items and until lv.11 to boost your ultimate ability skill, as a Support Amumu ulti takes too much time to be used again, you can also use Celerity if you want to have more speed adaptive Ability power.
Gathering StormPassive will boost your ability power over time, as long as you last in the game as long as you get stronger, i see it best pick while Amumu doesnt have wound damage ability to use Scorch and Waterwalking is not good because you're not playing jungle.
Biscuit Delivery you will earn some biscuit at a certain time, its an extra potion to hold with you which it will provide you more mana and HP while early game Amumu suffer a lot of the mana also it will give to him more sustain of HP because he will receive lot of damage from the enemy ADC or support pokes such Zyra, [lux]], [morgana] etc...
Cosmic Insightis a passive that gives to you more cool down reduction, and more cool down reduction early is more the use of the ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy and secure kills with it.
basic attacks and Curse of the Sad Mummy apply a Curse for 3 seconds, refreshing with each subsequent basic attack.
Cursed targets receive 10% bonus true damage from all incoming magic damage, calculated before magic resist reduction.

Frozen Heart This item is also great for amumu support, to reduce the enemy adc attack speed and provide you a lot of mana adn good armor defense, with 20% cool dwon reduction with this items you can easily reach the cool down reduction that it can be gotten from ingame items 40%.
Dead Man's Plate its known as an heavy tank item which it provide to you huge HP and more armor with its passive stack move speed and convert it to magic damage and move speed is a need for .
Spirit Visage Prove to you magic resistance, HP regeneration and Cool down reduction its a known and most used item in all games vs AP champions.
Banshee's Veil is an alternative to amumu if you want to build high magic resistance with more ability power and cool down reduction add its passive that block first ability attack or CC.
Sunfire Cape its an alternative to use it or the deadman plat prove to you high HP and armor and aoe damage its good for split pushing.
Randuin's Omen if you're playing against a heavy AD team, randiun is the best pick
Thornmail also a known tanky item as tornmail, provide to you huge Armor and reflect 10% of your total armor as magic damage, also reduce the attack speed of your enemy by 15% for 1sec
Locket of the Iron Solari this is an optional pick, if the enemy team has 3 AP champions, this item will provide to your team some magic resistance
Zhonya's Hourglass if you want to enjoy your damage you can build zhonya, you get 2 in 1 armor, cool down redcution and ability power, its a good pick if you play against karthus while he can use his ulti when he is dead in a the end of a team fight your left hp is an easy kill for him.
Mercury's Treads if you want to get some magic resistance and reduce the duration of the crowd control on you use it.
Sorcerer's Shoesif you want to one combo kill your enemy teams adc this is a good boots if you build some AP items with it.
Ninja Tabi if you want to build some armor and block 12% of the enemy damage
How to play
If you are the first pick in your team means you got an advantage for your team to counter their picks.
Because Amumu is known as a jungle and as you are the first pick and you going as support, the enemy team will take a counter pick for you Amumu because they think you're the Blue team jungle, so your team jungle has advantage to take a counter pick of their jungle, and a good jungle gives good advantage to his team to win.
Most of the times when you pick the enemy team will pick as a counter pcik to Amumu
Amumu is not a main support but you can play him as a new meta support because of his double stuns that gives you time to kill your enemy once you reach Lv.6 and you can unlock your ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy.
You can only engage the fight with your Bandage Toss if you fail it you gotta be playing safe and wait it to be ready again.
You have to ping always your adc to get ready for your engagement, if you see your adc is weak or not going to fight so don't because Amumu can't skip once he land his Bandage Toss on the enemy champion unless you have the ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy, you can use it and run with the boost of the Nimbus Cloak that gives to you.
With Amumu you gotta very patient, your bot lane will be pushed hard from lv.1 to Lv.6 because you can't poke the enemy champion, you gotta be patient until Lv.6.
Once you unlock the ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy, you gotta be 2 things at once, you will be supporting bot lane and mid lane if needed, How?
Once you unlock your ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy, the enemy champions knows that if you land your Bandage Toss you gonna follow it with this combo Despair >> Tantrum >> Curse of the Sad Mummy + Ignite or Exhaust with your adc damage and abilities the kill is 100% secured, so your enemy champions will take distance from you, if you see that you can't engage the fight then roam to the mid lane and gank for your mid lane.
Try to get fast the cool down reduction items first because it will help you to reduce your Curse of the Sad Mummy time to use it often, without the Curse of the Sad Mummy your engagement are 50% kills.
That's all if you do this, your game is easy win because your team will be having an Amumu support, Tank & jungle, your team will be like having 2 jungles late game.
