Hey, i am writing my first guide for Mobafire. However, I intend to try and make this guide as in-depth as those made by other writers on the site. Therefore, in this guide, I will attempt to share my accumulated knowledge of over 1000 games of playing with Amumu.

Amumu is not the hardest champion to play, but he is not the easiest. To work around Amumu you need timing, aiming and positioning. Using his ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy can turn the tide a team fight if used correctly. Additionally, it will take time for you to become used to throwing his Bandage Toss in order to be accurate with it.

Despite this, Amumu is an incredibly rewarding champion that fits a wide variety of team compositions. In group Battles i like to lead the group in with a Bandage Toss, within that heopefully my team would be in the battle just so i can get my ultimate in Curse of the Sad Mummy. Amumu is the tank to absorb all the damage and get out.

Additionally, This Build is and Tank/Jungle Build with a bit of ap to give you a little more damage.

Every Champion in LoL has their Strengthens and Weaknesses. if your team lacks a jungler or tank Amumu is your best option. he is misunderstood by most people, but for people who know his real side will ban him in most ranked.

Cons

-Squishy early game
-Susceptible to counter-jungling
-Blue buff dependent in jungle
-Ultimate has high cooldown
- Bandage Toss takes time to become accustomed to if used to champions with faster skill shots
- Lacks Mana

The two spells i prefer when i jungle are, Flash/Smite. Smite easily take down the monster faster you can farm and gank faster within the game. Flash is great if you need to get away on low health or chasing an enemy, flash + Bandage Toss = Great Kill

When Jungling, Start with blue. Youll need a leash, then smite and continually use Tantrum to hit multiple targets at once, after that you should hit lvl 2 which you should of put your skill on Bandage Toss.if mid is harassing good, go in for a early gank to make sure your mid hit lvl 6 first. if your lucky youll get a kill if not continue farming.

if you decide not to early gank you follow on through to the wolves, rapidly use Tantrum with C/D runes should come back fast, after that follow over to the 2 ogers, effectually use smite and start the attack, you should hit lvl 3. if top then needs a gank put you skill point into bandage toss for extra damage and stun, if not jungle more with Tantrum

when going into a group battle i intend to lead as being the tank. what you usually want to do is wait in the bushes for the enemy, wards will help. Bandage Toss in and follow with Tantrum.

AS your team runs in move back a little and pop your Ultimate, only pop if an enemy is escaping or if your team is losing. if you are ok on health keep spamming Tantrum, if you are low on health this is when your flash spell comes in handy to get you out with out a death.

5v5

get your team to follow you to the enemy's blue, hide in the bushes and wait for them, when they come gank them and hopfully if play right your team should get 2/3 kills. when blue comes steal it. quickly go back to your side and finish off the wolves, by then your smite will be back and you get your blue, by then you should be lvl 3/4 depending on the kills at the start. after blue follow through to mid or bottom and help gank who ever is failing, follow through and hopefully get a kill. return to town and get your boots. follow up to the ogres and kill them then gank top.

3v3

in 3v3 you just full tank, start with bandage toss buy a ward, boots and 1 health pot. hide in bushes with team and wait, when enemy comes use Bandage Toss to stun then use Exhaust to slow the enemy so your team can kill.

i really hope this helps you for the future, its not the best build and not the best advice. in 5v5 you should end up with more kills then assist from all the ganking. in 3v3 you should have more assist, if your lucky to have more kills then you are very skillful.

Watch out for these 3 Champions When playing

Janna - if going into battle janna take mass amounts of damage with her tornado.
Tristana - you need alot of armour to counter trist coz at first amumu is squishy.
Lee sin - counter jungle asap, if not he is hard to take down, play smart.
