Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is a massive AP build for Anivia.
Massive amounts of burst damage.
Crippling AoE damage.
Good CC with slows/wall.
Weak at pushing towers.
Not alot of health.
Very mana dependent.
This anivia build is something i have been working on for a long time. It is not recommended for people who are new to anivia. As previously stated, the endgame burst damage is INSANE.
You must mid. Period. Anivia dominates mid and if you are sharing a lane, you simply do not have to gold or level advantage needed early on to fill your Soulstealer. To start, buy Boots of Speed and 3 health potions. Head to your lane. Harass with Flash Frost (FF) when ever possible while keeping an eye on your mana. Once you hit lvl 2, start using your Flash Frost -> Freezing Wind (FB) combo. As you level up, keep in mind that the majority of your dps comes from FB, so level it when ever possible. Play defensively and use your egg to your advantage. Try not to go back until you are able to buy your Mejai's Soulstealer and Sorcerer's Boots. Now its time to go ganking.
Gank. Gank. Gank. Fill your soulstealer. Be careful, go back if you need to. However, if possible, try not to go back until you can get Needlessly Large Staff for Zhonya's Ring. As your soulstealer fills, you should be able to easily gank any squishy hero with less the 2/3 of their max health. DONT DIE, Soulstealer stacks are very important. Once you have Zhonya's Ring, get and upgrade Tear of the Goddess as soon as you possibly can. Don't forget about your ult. Before you get Tear, mana is a precious commodity, dont waste it by leaving your ult on when you don't want to.
Team fights start breaking out. The key to owning teamfights with anivia is to stay far behind your tank and target the squishy on the other team that is the biggest threat. Often times, you can burst their whole health bar down in 1 go. If not, you have done enough damage to make them run, removing them from the fight. Also, dont forget about your ult. It can make a team battle. Drop that on the center of the fight and watch everyone die.
Don't underestimate using Glacial Storm to chill an enemy for a FB when low on mana. I can't tell you how many kills I've gotten this way.
Kiting is your friend. Tanks in particular always seem to think they can take your bust damage, keep em slowed and throw FB/Glacial Storm followed by frostbite while running until you know you can kill them, then turn and own.
Don't forget about Crystalize. It can be used to block off paths in the jungle to stop pursuers or it can be used to prevent a fleeing opponent from leaving your glacial storm.
At around lvl 10, FF can be used to farm the caster minions, detonate it right behind them for free money.
When defending a tower, Anivia can hold off whole teams by using Glacial Storm to kill an entire wave of minions in seconds.
Good Luck, Have Fun. If you want to see anivia in action, my LoL name is cptspeirs, friend me.
