Annie Build :: ✘ EUW ✘ by Hellerup 4

By PrizmSnipe
HRP Who is Hellerup? Hellerup / Steven is a ALL LANE PLAYER: Hello, I am the creator of all these guides, i'm danish therefor my english could be read wrong in some cases, but I believe you understand 99% of my sentences. I make guides because I think it's cool to bring some awesome guides out there with a pretty good build! This introduction text will appear on all of my guides, because I believe it's alright to let people who decide to read your guides instead of just looking at what to build as first items etc, get to know who's making the guides and who's also got impact on my guides.

Something to keep in mind, I inspired A LOT of people to make guides and even inspired their design.

HRP Who is Kurtdenstore21? Kurtdenstore21 is a TOPLANER: He is a danish player, who got to Challenger playing only Tryndamere which would make him a so called "OTP/One Trick Pony", and also one of my best friends IRL. Not only being one of my best friends IRL, he's also a phenomenal Tryndamere player, and I believe him to be in TOP 3 as Trynd in the world. That would also make my guides build a bit more stable in terms of it being good. Kurt is always trying to find new builds that works even better, so stay tuned for secret builds! He test his builds in Master ELO.

HRP Who is Godbro? Godbro is a MIDLANER: He is a danish player, The guy who's the reason that "Nidalee too tanky" meme came to life through xPeke by juking(Dodge) the abilities of his Xerath."Too Tanky" he's also a guy who got 4 Challenger Jackets because he had 4 accounts in TOP 10 EUW at the same time, that also means he knows something about the game, and some of my guides are based off his build that works with him. I don't believe you could go wrong with using his build, his builds are just different to most, which could make it harder for some to use.

HRP Who is Styllee? Styllee is a JUNGLE: He is a danish player, who's a S8 peak at Rank #13 on EU West and is Rank #1 w/ 1300+LP in S9. One of my guides is made in collaborating with Stylle, therefore he's to be found here. You can find him by going to the current #1 Ivern Guide, which is made by him, he also got a few other jungle guides, which are truly reliable. It's not for fun he's the current #1 in EU West, you can learn something from him!

If you do like my guide and it helped you, feel free to give it a upvote, that also helps me and my guide in the ladder system! I will do my best to make great builds on Mobafire, which is a site people tend to see as a joke.

If you think something should be added to the guide, then feel free to come up with suggestions, but I do not respons to commands like "Add [???] otherwise your build is weird" or similar. But I do take note of suggestions!

I realized making guides, people tend to want to attack your guide if you don't use a build they don't like. Simply proceed to move on if you don't like my build. Nothing is wrong if it's obviously not a troll guide. Like it or leave it!

- What are the benefits of playing this champion?

+ Lategame Carry
+ A CC Threat
+ Strong Ultimate
+ Great Waveclear
+ Mana Sustain w Q
+ Best Splitpush
+ Strong in 1v1
+ Escape with Stun

Annie is a strong champion and easy to learn, also funny to play. If you want to climb easy in lower elos then Annie is a good pick. She's lategame carry because of her burst dmg and ability to AOE stun with Ultimate. It's the known Flash+Ultimate Stun combo that turn games. That's also why she's a CC threat, since stun is important to catch people. That every assassin fear. She's got waveclear potential with her W, that erase waves mid game, and with Q she can easily just farm up in early game, but we want to kill people with roam+Waterwalking.

- What are the drawbacks of playing this champion?

- Potential Flash Reliant
- Short Range Abilities
- You become a focus
- Still use a lot of Mana
- Squishy
- Weak against ranged champs
- Requires good game sense in high elo
- Lower Tier

Annie is that champion that require no skill, people say. Just like people say that with Tryndamere. But it does require skill, but maybe only in higher elo. In low elo it could be fun to play Annie, learn her and just destroy and climb. But the the thing is, once you're in higher elo, you need to boost that game sense in you, and know when to use that stun combo which is so important. She got short range abilities, which leads into that, flash is super important whe nyou wanna carry with that AOE Stun. Even thought we got mana sustain with Q, if we use W or E, or even hit minions without Q lasthit, we use a lot of mana, keep that in mind.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity > COOLDOWN REDUCTION
These are great boots on Annie, since it allows you to waveclear or poke even harder. CDR is really great on Annie, and it allows you to make outplay potentials that always helpfull.

Sorcerer's Shoes > MAGIC PENETRATION
We all know why this is up here. Almost every mage takes these boots to deliver that extra burst dmg, so if you see that Sorcerer's Shoes is the way to go, then it's the way to go. If they do have a lot of escape or low cd champs, then maybe it's worth looking for the Ionian Boots?

Rod of Ages is a strong item, that scales great into the game in terms of everything you could use (Health+Mana+AP) but even then we don't really go with it. It could be poossible since it's great overall, and you could become a great bully in lane with it, but we focus on other things with Annie, as to why we would pick Luden's Echo. And read below as to why. Why do we pick Luden's Echo over Rod of Ages or something else like Mana Sustain items? Well we want to burst people with Luden's Echo. And meanwhile we got "Waterwalking" as a second rune in the secondary runepage, we want to roam around and burst the enemies down with our stun and burst.

  • Pyromania: A really strong passive to watch out for. And what makes Annie a threat overall, even if she got her strong burst abilities, this is the reason people fear Annie.
  • Disintegrate (Q): The Q is what makes your early game quite good with it refunding the mana that it cost, if you get the minion, so make sure to get that minion with your Q. It's also great to poke your enemy with, using on the enemy when your stun is up. But keep in mind, it could be expensive if you miss minions trying to last hit with it.
  • Incinerate (W): The great waveclear ability that Annie needs in order to waveclear quick and move on. Keep in mind, it won't be waveclearing at early untill you got 2 items, but it's nonetheless a great ability for poking once you hit your enemy with Q stun, or even AOE stun.
  • Molten Shield (E): This is the thing we upgrade last. We're not really into this Molten Shield, but it's great on Tibbers and it's great to get your Stun faster.
  • Summon: Tibbers (R): The evil Tibbers of Annie. That bear that cause terror around the world, enough jokings. It's a strong ability and you should always pull your ultimate off with your passive. Never use your ultimate without stun.
> > >
We want to max out Disintegrate because it is our farm and poke source in one. Then Incinerate as it goes hand in hand with your disintegrate poke. We level up Summon: Tibbers before anything else, since it's ultimate. So with Q as the first upgrade, we can trade with the enemy in lane better, and farm without losing any mana. Why do we upgrade Q then W then Q then W? it's because it delivers greater damage output when you want to hit them with everything.

If you do meet a Ekko, please take care. The lane will be difficult, since Ekko got a lot of abilities that outplays you. However it's never dumb to ask jungle for help in case that's needed. Beside that, sticking to tower and farming up, make sure you got Q stun if he tries to dive, but other than that you should be fine. Roaming is still possible, just make sure you don't lose the roams.

Anivia is nasty against Annie. It's not a matchup that's easy, since she got her potential to simply just poke you down without you being able to hit her. That's where the diffierenc comes up. Anivia got range and zoning, you got none of it against her.

Cassiopeia is also a strong champ against Annie, and that's also because of how her range is way better than yours, and she can shut your combo down with her silence oil. In terms of that, she can outplay you hard.

"The Dark Child" ~Annie

Boram Darkwill’s last years on the throne were a time of great uncertainty for Noxus, and many with an aptitude for magic left the capital for the relative peace of more distant provinces. Gregori the Gray and his wife, a witch by the name of Amoline, preferred to demonstrate their Noxian strength by taming the borderlands, rather than partaking in the political intrigue of the noble houses.
