I didn't spend much time looking through guides. I simply looked through 3 or 4, and after playing Kassadin for awhile, decided to make my own for my own benefit, and hopefully for others. I made this in the interest of those who regularly play the game in a 3v3 environment instead of 5v5. I know I for one simply cannot do well in a 5v5 environment, at least not random queue. Anyways, the goal is to still have the nuke, while also having the support from Rylai's, and while hopefully not getting nuked with the health from Rod of Ages and Rylai's. The Summoner's skills - Clarity = Lane longer. It can also be used to juke people if they decide to follow a manaless you. Ignite is any healer's bane (aka Mundo, or lifesteal/AD Yi, both of which I hate). It can also be that little bit extra that wins the 1v1. Even though Kass is great at tower diving with or without ignite, I think its effects are far too overlooked, as it has caused my death quite a few times. The masteries are pretty simply as they are because those chosen go hand-in-hand and exponentially increase as the game goes on and stats go up.

Sapphire Crystal > Catalyst of the Protector > Boots of Speed > Tear of the Goddess > Above order depending on gold when you recall. If the game is going well, you may want to pick up Lich Bane earlier so you can push more successfully. Nether Blade + Lich Bane eats towers.
