I have to say, I get upset when people play Mord as a DPSer...tbh...you would be way to squishy in any situation and lets say you get a team who builds magic res. plus you have little to none magic pen. I mean sure more damage does generate your shield faster but with no survivability your shield will get dropped in a matter of seconds. Force of Nature or Thornmail are great items but when they are just the only piece of defense you have Black Cleaver, Last Whisper, Void Staff and there useless. With the ring ,ya it's active is amazing but if you are REALLY a threat ,which id be amazed if you were, if there stupid they will switch targets and kill them besides you. Good players will switch or even just wait for the 2 seconds to go by and drop you because I'm sure you would use it when your low on hp and why let a easy kill get away?I also looked at your screen shots, not very impressive all I saw was you played with a bunch of morons and probably didn't have a clue what they were doing. I play Akali as well and when ever I find a tank trying to do a DPS build i giggle and drop them with in a second so I'd stick to a tank build and if you REALLY want to DPS as a tank pick a better champion like Mundo or Vlad but Mords strong point is being a rock. I know in some cases its would be amazing don't take this the wrong way it's a ok build just it doesn't fit Mord well. I I give it a thumbs down.

Hey I noticed low hp which is a little scary to deal with. To stack with Creeping, why not get a SF for hp and some armor too instead of Thornmail, unless you are facing a full out DPS team?

Ha, looks like Riot buffed my guide.
A new .2 AP Ratio on Mace of Spades and buffs to Spell Vamp items.

it's true you can mid anyone :) just with the three mentioned above you have to be smart about it and plan your moves well. again, this is an amazing build if you're a good player and not ******ed. YOU WILL ALWAYS WIN!!!!

I've Used a very similar build to this and as a rule it works great especially if you mid against someone who's easy to harass because early game you are still a morde like any other. and by then you out lvl all and have a nice stack of cash from all the minions and an easy kill or two and turret destroyed in mid. after that happens i've never even had time to fully build an item after the hextech because we eat them and the surrender :P

+1 and great explanations. you put in a lot of effort

Thank you for the feedback. And, you are exactly right about going mid (in fact, I should probably include that somewhere in the guide).

I have found that there is NO champion that I can't lane against. It doesn't matter who you are going against, if they get too close to attack they just do damage to your shield (as long as you are keeping it up) and they take a fairly significant amount of damage from your Siphon of Destruction. You just keep that process up, whittling them down, and by Level 6, a quick Ignite and Children of the Grave gives you an early kill and some extra fire power against that newly abandoned turret.

[And to all of you skeptics reading this... Yes, it works on Vlad, Kogmaw, and Miss Fortune.]

I'm starting to see that some of the people that added me to friends picked up using my build and have won every match with Mordekaiser thus far. :)

That's inspiring.

i gave you a +1 for the spell vamp on morde, great concept, i would recommend changing your item order a bit getting majai's earlier or not at all. good build otherwise! +1

Well, that is the second time it has been mentioned. I generally don't have a problem with getting my Soulstealer and its stacks early since AP allows Mordekaiser to farm like a boss, but I decided to move it up in the build just in case people are having a hard time farming up quickly for their items.

Thank you for your comment.

I will try out this build this weekend and get back to you, I've heard AP mordes are nooby and from my experience they are, but I've always been interested in a spell vamp build.
