Chapter 1

Besated's Guide to Jungling Shen - Edited

First of all, I would like to state that Shen is one of the best laners and jungling should be a last resort. Only jungle if no one else can jungle as effective.
Summoner Spells:
  • Smite - Smite is essential to most junglers and is very useful for jungling Shen.
  • Fortify - I personally like to carry fortify for my team, but there are many other useful spells you could use to your likings.

Masteries

I like to use the 1/21/8 for Fortify Mastery, Plentiful Bounty, and the Extra Experience.

Jungling Route - Twin Golems

There are several routes to take when jungling. I prefer starting with twin golems.

Buy a Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potions; put a point into Vorpal Blade (VB)

Be aware of ganks when Jungling. Hide in a nearby bush and wait until you see everyone on the minimap before attacking the golem.

Start out at the twin golems. Start attacking it, and spamming VB. Use your health potion. Smite to kill one of them. Kill the other one.

Skip to the wraith camp, and kill that by spamming VB, and attacking it.

Make sure to use your health potion when you are getting low on health.

Move onto the wolves, kill those, but don't waste your smite on it.

Next, move onto the mana golem. Do the same, attack and spam VP. Smite it for the kill.

Move towards the twin golems again, and kill those.

Then, move to the lizard camp, and kill that.

Jungling Route - Mana Golem

Buy a Cloth Armor and 5 Health Potions; put a point into Vorpal Blade (VB)

Start out with the Mana Golem. Throw a VB at the big one and start auto attacking it. Pop a health potion. Smite the golem and just keep auto attacking it. When its dead, attack the little ones. Remember to keep spamming your VB.

Next, go to the wolves. Keep spamming VB and auto attack.

After the wolves, move over to the wraithes and again, spam VB and auto attack. Pop a health potion if needed.

Then, go for the lizard. It is advised that you have about 500 hp before attacking it. Throw a VP and start auto attacking it. Use a Health Potion right away. Smite it and keep spamming the VB + Auto Attack Combo.

Next, go for the twin golems.

After this I like to go kill the wolves once more, then recall and get a Doran's Shield, Boots, Wards and Health Potions.

Repeat the process.

Jungling Route - Lizard

Start with the same items and skill. VB the lizard, keep auto attacking while spamming VB. Smite for the kill.

Move to the twin golems camp. Kill those, and move to wraiths.

After wraiths go for the wolf camp. Your smite should be up by now, grab mana golem.

I'm not sure which route is more efficent, I will update when I get the chance.

Items

Cloth Armor and 5x Health Potions
Doran's Shield

+
    Mercury Threads
    Sunfire Cape
    Force of Nature
    Randuin's Omen
    Guardian Angel

Sell Doran's Shield for a Thornmail if you feel you need the extra armor or a Force Of Nature, if you feel you need the extra magic resistance.

Adjust the build depending on the other team composition.

I always purchase wards for my team, to help with the map awareness. I find that wards are a necessity to successful games. If you find that you have left over gold after a recall, purchase a ward or two.

Elixirs Of Fortitude are also very helpful for the bonus health.

Thank you all for taking the time to read my build. Thoughts and Comments are appreciated.
