Braum, the Heart of the Freljord - Summary
Braum, like Shen and Malphite, is a defensive farming champ with a lot a power to his punch. Starting with your Q, you can do some serious harass damage in lane if combo'd with your auto attacks. Braum's passive concussive blows does a ton of damage and is a great harass mechanism. The trick with Braum in lane is to anticipate enemy harass and counter with E. Once you've sustained all he has to throw at you, follow up with a Q - and auto combo for that nasty stun damage. Most of Braum's damage comes from his passive, and his Q. Since his Q damage is increased by his hp, it is important to build HP items. This being the case, although Iceborn Gauntlet is the recommended first item to build, Sunfire is also a viable choice (Depending on the opposing laner). Furthermore, AP damage is important for your ultimate ability, so AP items aren't a bad idea. If your team is rather tanky, going the route of AP might not be a bad choice. I'd recommend Iceborn Gauntlet, followed by Trinity Force. Most people are playing Braum as an AD, but it just doesn't scale well for an end game presence. I've found that with the standard HP / AP Build, Braum really excels at clutch plays even at 30% hp. Going a full AP Build with Braum is pretty troll, but does it work? Well, sort of. You're going to have a lot of damage on your ultimate, but your sustainability might be lacking. The safest choice is to build him full HP tank with the Iceborn Gauntlet. Like Shen, Braum is a great defense lane farmer, and like Malphite, he can really pack a punch (Especially with Iceborn Gauntlet). Anyway, I hope you find this build useful, and have fun with Braum!
