Hi guys, this is my standard caitlyn build, and it works really well from early game till mid-late game. Usually garners my total lane domination and some kills, and if lucky you can pick kills off other lanes too.

Well not necessarily a good ranked build (I don't get to play cait on ranked :/ always end up using the tank) I would like some comments on the build. :)

What this build emphasizes is strong and hard hitting shots instead of rapid shots that do damage over time. The ulti is also pretty scary with this build.

For runes, I went 9 armor penetration marks, 9 armor seals, 9 MR glyphs and 3 armor pen quintessence. THis gives you 31 armor penetration at lvl 1.

The mastery is set up in order for you to engage in direct warfare with other ranged champs with your high armor penetration and some armor/MR. You cn easily take damage from champions at lvl 1-3 headon and come out victorious, since Q does a ton of damage.

Clairvoyance may seem like a strange choice on Caitlyn, but it works well.

Have you ever missed a kill because that guy vanished into the fog of war just before your R locks on? This doesnt happen anymore, once you use CV in the region. Not only that, you can skip out on flash because of your E and some awareness using CV. Wards help too, and 1 handy place to ward is between the enemies' first and second tower so they cannot b safely.

Ghost and cv works for a sniper build because halfway through an engagement you can ghost into the forest, cv to reveal an escaping enemy and snipe him before the enemies have time to chase you down.

Start in lane with boots and 3 red pots. Build into swiftness for catching enemies and brutaliser for even more armor penetration. From there, build into youmuu's and then get a last whisper. At this stage, you have enough armor penetration to do pure damage to anyone with less then 80 armor. Take note of this, as it applies to your ultimate too. Once a target goes to 450hp, you can effectively snipe the target.

Get an IE, and the last slot is situational, There are two choices from here onwards, and I prefer getting a brutaliser, but one can also try SoTD for the active. Since last whisper applies first, and is a percentage penetration, the more armor pen you have, the more exponentially the damage grows. with a second brutaliser (1st was build into youmuu), you should have 66 penetration. COupled with 40% reduction, an enemy needs 110 armor to avoid pure damage. And no carries would have that, would they? besides, the daamge on your ulti would be nearing 800-900, meaning it can basically do half their hp in 1 shot.

Pros:
Extremely high damage output on enemies, each and every shot counts.
Almost guranteed ulti kill.
High mobility

Cons:
Little to no defensive armor => reliance on reflex and speed
Slow pushing
