This hasn't always been the case; brigands and thieves of all sorts used to find the city-state an ideal mark for plunder, primarily due to the valuable resources it imports to fuel its techmaturgical research. Some even theorize that it would have fallen long ago to the chaos of organized crime if not for Caitlyn, the Sheriff of Piltover. Born the daughter of a wealthy statesman and a pioneering hextech researcher, Caitlyn discovered her natural gift for investigation when, at age 14, her father was assaulted and robbed on his way home. She snuck out of her house that night with her father's rifle and tracked down the muggers from the crime scene. At first, her parents did their best to discourage her from such risky hobbies, but she was incorrigible. Wishing to protect her daughter in the only way she knew how, Caitlyn's mother began outfitting her with techmaturgical devices tailored to her sleuthing needs. Caitlyn quickly gained notoriety, both because she was single handedly defeating crime in Piltover and also because she soon developed into a ravishing beauty. She never backed down from a case or a challenge, and she was one of the sharpest shots in the city-state. Her services were soon requested by Demacia to help track down a mysterious outlaw who had begun committing high-profile heists. The bandit, who always left a card with an ornate 'C' at the scene of the crime, became Caitlyn's arch-nemesis. To this day, Caitlyn still searches for this cat burglar, and the chase has led her all across Valoran. She has joined the League to hone her skills and gain the influence necessary to track down the only quarry that has managed to evade her. "Go ahead, run. I'll give you a five minute head start." - Caitlyn, from her book 'Willing Apprehension'. Introduction

Hey Guys, this is my first Guide and it is about my main Caitlyn!
I enjoy playing her because she has deals high DMG throughout the game and also has an escape-ability.
I hope you feel the same after using my guide!

And remember: You don't HAVE TO follow my Guide, I'm just giving some ideas.

So, let's begin!

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Good farmer
- Best range of auto-attacks at level 1 (only Tristana's range is higher at higher levels)
- Amazing burst
- Has escape-abilities

Cons
- Squishy (every AD-Carry has that problem)
- Needs farm

Summoner Spells

I take and because:

gives you a great escape ability. You can escape nearly every situation and with your you have a nice combination.

allows you to 1vs1 anyone so I recommend taking this.

If you don't like , you can take whatever you like, but is a MUST HAVE.

And don't even THINK about using or , I DARE YOU! You won't need them, trust me.

Masteries

Masteries are pretty standard, 21/0/9. Nothing special, just remember to take improved exhaust.

Runes

I take Greater Mark of Desolation, and because you deal A LOT of DMG early. It is like a little boost and it allows you to go for early first blood.

are helping a little since you dont't need to worry about your mana.

Skill Sequence

I max first because it gives you a very nice burst and is also one of the best Farming-abilities in the game. It has a nice range and many underestimate the DMG.

It doesn't really matter if you max or afterwards.
Remember to skill whenever possible.

Items

Now to the good part, items.

I start with because it has everything you need to begin with.
I go for afterwards because we need the Attack Speed. You can also buy Mercury Treads but I don't recommend them because I feel like suit better.

Then we will buy our first expensive item, . It has everything an AD-Carry needs. Attack Damage, Critical strike chance and the best part, it increases the DMG of critical hits!

On our next trip back we will buy because it's a nice boost to your DMG.

After we buy . Why? We need the Attack Damage in combination with the Attack Speed and we also need the Armorpen-reduction.

Unexperienced players may ask "Wouldn't a be better, so I have more than twice as much Attackdamage with a fully farmed as from and additionally have awesome Lifesteal?"

Well, it is true that you gain more Attackdamage by buying , but what we aim for are the Attackspeed and the Armorpen-reduction from . Imagine, you have a ****LOAD of Attackdamge, but no Armorpen-reduction. You won't deal as much DMG as you would with more Armorpen-reduction. It's not about Attackdamage all the way, you have to find a good balance. That's my opinion at least.

Going on with our itembuild, we will finish our and then we buy because it gives you Health and Magic Resistance and blocks one spell every 45 seconds. Awesome, isn't it?

Our last item is going to be . I'll explain you why.
First of all, it gives you Attackspeed and Lifesteal and since we didn't buy any Lifesteal item, this is going to be good for you. But it helps even more.
This item is an aura-item. What does this mean?
People in your near will be affected by this item. Stark's Fervor gives your Allies Attackspeed and Lifesteal, also 30 HP-regeneration/5 which is pretty cool. But that is not all. It also reduces the armor of enemies in your near by 20.

Ok, let's do some maths now.
Our runes give 15 Armorpenetration, 3 Stacks of give 45 Armorpenetration and gives 20 Armorpenetration.
Overall, this makes 80 Armorpenetration!

Your targets will eat a ****load of DMG because you will have around 2.1 Attackspeed and 270 Attackdamage (with Elixirs). This will crush your enemys' lifebars in no time!

What? You don't like , even after I did the maths? Well, if you really dont like it, you can buy:

Summary

Well, this is it (so far).
If you got any things I should improve, leave me a comment. Also, I'm sorry for my not perfect English, I'm not this good at speaking English, but I'm still learning.

I hope you enjoyed it! If you did, vote it and leave a comment!
