In the life steal section you wrote about the rather poor effectiveness of BT. Have you thought about a build with attack speed to utilize BT? I know Aatrox would be far more sqishy without the tank items and the fact that there are only a few attack speed items that would fit for him, but I am still curious about your thoughts on that...

Also why go for swiftness boots, Yes it gives you 10+ movespeed than merc treads, But merc treads gives you a 30% resistance to Slows, binds etc and the slow resistance is 5% more than swiftness.

It's all about personal preference really. New Aatrox is strongly dependent on positioning, and so Boots of Swiftness in conjunction with movement items like Dead Man's Plate or Youmuu's Ghostblade let you control the fight and not your opponent. However, if you feel like the enemy team has strong crowd control and you need more tenacity, definitely give Mercury's Treads a go! I tried to stress in this guide that building to your situation is important and that no one build is perfect.

I actually responded to a comment on July 17th about updating the guide to have builds with both rune pages. I have most of it done, I'm just trying to figure out how I want to format it. Sit tight!

On Probuilds, I've seen some people go Arcane Comet or Electrocute while you like to go conqueror. What do you think about that?

I would not recommend Electrocute, as I mentioned in a previous response. Aatrox does not attack or use abilities fast enough to make use of the rune. However, Arcane Comet is perfect on him. Practically a guaranteed hit every time. Still updating my guide to include a Grasp of the Undying and Arcane Comet build.

Glad I could help! And congrats on the penta! I'm currently working on updating the guide with another, tankier build with Grasp of the Undying. The current build is really aggressive.

I tried grasp and its trash lmao because his attack speed is so slow maybe a hybrid build with like one solid attack speed item or otherwise like I said u cant get the proc off lol

So how do you teamfight?? One little thing I noticed about aatrox... If you wanna counter him you fight him. How to play someone liek taht??

Aatrox is very good at zoning his opponent. This is good, because it's the only way he can fight. It's tough to fight back when the enemy can either jump directly on him or away from him, avoiding his The Darkin Blade. That's why Frozen Mallet or even Glacial Augment are so effective. They allow Aatrox to keep his opponent right where he wants them, letting him control the fight.

It's also worth noting that tank Aatrox is very effective in this position. He can more easily handle teamfights, stay along enough to make use of his crowd control, and make a dent in the enemy line. I'm considering adding a defensive build to the guide soon, so be on the look out for that!

I had thoughts about such a build too. I would be glad if I could help you out there. But since I am flying to China soon, I might not be able to play that much LoL...

Conqueror makes you heal less against champions. Only physical damage dealt is healing. Even though conqueror gives more ad when it activates a good amount of that physical damage becomes true damage (you cant heal off of true damage dealt). So healing becomes lower and your survive ability weaker. Just wanted to point that out.

So would you say that Conquerors should still be used on Aatrox or do you have any alternative suggestion for the main rune?

ABcmaSter | June 30, 2018 12:42pm
I would say take conqueror only vs a mostly tanky team. Even if the other team only has one tank, i take something else. I have been taking dark harvest, grasp, after shock, comet, phase rush as the standard runes. Predator in the jungle much like why olaf or trundle take it. I can see fleet working well too and maybe glacial augment if you dont get frozen mallet. Any keystone in Domination (except hail of blades), Socery, and Resolve works.

I think it's very much still viable, and I will continue to use it personally. You could probably use Fleet Footwork easily as a solid replacement.

That's actually a great point. Didn't even think about that. Thanks for letting me know! I'll add a note on that in the guide.

I noticed that the detailed description of Aatrox new ult World Ender is missing in the Skill section. Would be nice if you could add it in order to complete everything in that section ;) But if I overlooked it somehow, then I am just too dumb to read XD

You're certainly not too dumb to read. I can't believe I missed that! Thanks for the catch and I'll get right on that. My apologies!

Beware everyone, this guide maker is silver 2, he lacks any real knowledge and will spread misinformation that will likely keep you in low elo with him.

I apologize if you believe so. I admittedly haven't had as much time as I would like to play LoL and update this guide, and so it suffers for that. What I may lack in "high-elo knowledge", I make up for in dedication, as I have kept this guide going for the past 2 years. My guides are typically more geared towards having fun, as they should be.

Nothing wrong with a lower ranked player writing a guide.
