Very interesting approach in writing this guide collaboratively. I think that this was a great call, as it allowed the guide to cover a wide variety of roles and builds.

I also strongly like the visual resources you used in the guide. It makes the concepts rather easy to understand and draws the reader's attention to the work.

Kudos to all of you guys from /r/QuinnMains.

When riot released the "Practice making rune pages" thing on their website- I instantly settled on my Quinn runes and put them to use as soon as the preseason went live- they have worked for me very well so far, and are in fact identical to your domination/precision set you have here.
I came onto mobafire pretty often just to see if anyone had posted some updated rune pages to compare to mine, and I have found your Precision/domination set, and was wondering why Press the attack worked rather than electrocute?
It could just be my particular play-style of poking in bursts (Enough to proc electrocute) until their health is low enough to commit to an all-in, but the rest of the domination tree feels more useful to Quinn's set.^^

It all depends on your playstyle (which should depend on various factors such as the enemy team; you should play differently against squishies than you do vs tanks). When against a team that is mostly made of squishy champions with only 1 or 2 tanks, then going Electrocute is perfectly fine as the burst damage it provides goes well with the assassin playstyle that you will most likely be using. In this case, the stats provided by the Domination tree work well (apart from the last choice, where all 3 options are kinda ****). You get the lethality from Sudden Impact and Zombie Ward which is very useful as you will be roaming a lot and need good vision. However, if against multiple tanky enemies, or if you simply prefer a more DPS-focused playstyle, than PtA (Press the Attack) and the Precision tree are superior. DPS Quinn wants to dish out continuous damage, using Harrier marks to deal damage and the MS+AS steroid from proccing them to kite. This is kind of an ADC/duelist Quinn playstyle. Here, PtA works better because we are looking for sustained damage rather than burst. It offers +12% increased damage for both you and your teammates, which makes dealing with tanks a lot easier. it also has no CD other than the time it takes to proc the 3 autos, so you can keep abusing it. Meanwhile, the stats in the Precision tree synergise with this playstyle, offering stats such as AS, lifesteal, increased damage to high HP enemies etc.

TL;DR: Electrocute and the Domination tree are better for assassin Quinn, PtA and the Precision tree are better for DPS/duelist Quinn.

Ah! That explains why I can't play Quinn adc as of yet^^ I am playing her assassin style and it really does not work in a 2v2 situation^^' I shall see if I can play her ADC with with DPS style^^
Which supps work best with an ADC Quinn? And any that really do not work?

I'm actually working on that right now! For now I'll provide only 1/2 example pages maybe with a brief explanation. However once stuff settles down and it becomes clearer what's bad, what's good and what's even better, I will write a full, in-depth section explaining different pages and each choice within the page.

Shoutout to @Captain Neo for helping me translate this!

Thank you! If you haven't already, I would try her out in other lanes too (she's really strong top lane). GL and HF!

I think that somewhere early on you should spell out that despite how Riot has chosen to word the tooltips; the Lethality from Youmuu's, Edge and Draktharr do in fact stack. This is a likely point of confusion for newer players.

Hmmm, I would say that it's pretty common sense (why else have a build that builds all three lethality items if lethality doesn't stack)? Unique only applies to multiple purchases of the same item. I don't think explaining that is necessary or befitting of the guide.

Heya!

Firstly, I'd like to say that you've gone to a lot of effort to collate all this data from r/QuinnMains and I'm sure many players are benefiting from your hard work ^^

I noticed when reading that you sort of had a dismissive tone of voice when a choice seemed obvious. Like "don't argue, just take it" or "duh!". A newer player may be confused about language like this, as they genuinely wouldn't know why that choice was integral to the playstyle.

I really like how comprehensive this guide is, but can see how a reader may get lost. Have you ever thought of splitting the chapters by playstyle/lane/role instead of the standard guide layouts? Seeing as you cover a multitude of playstyles, it seems to me that a chapter about playing top lane and the runes/masteries/summoners etc to grab would be useful for a reader looking for a specific style of play.

Great start, +1 :) Thanks for requesting a discussion!

Thank you for the quick reply!

It's true that I didn't really explain the obvious choices in the Spell section and instead try to add some humour there. I understand where you are coming from, but at the same time anyone who has played League for a bit will know that almost every champion takes Flash, Jungler's take Smite and ADCs Heal. There are exceptions to this of course, but it stands true for the vast majority of champions. That's why I chose to kinda 'skip' over these. That being said, it wouldn't hurt to explain them right? ;) I will make some changes to that later.

The problem with splitting the chapters based on lane/role/playstyle is that often a lot of things overlap between the different playstyles. I think that if I split the guide in that way, I will end up having to repeat a lot of the information. I understand that it's a bit easy to get 'lost' in the guide, but I think splitting it based on playstyle will create more problems than it would solve. Perhaps an alternative solution would be to make it easier to move around sections by using anchors (the ones provided with MOBAFire aren't very clear to see, being tucked away in corner of every chapter)? What do you think?

Yeah, I see what you mean about the repetition of information. Hmmm... That's a tough one. It'd also be a lot of extra work to rearrange everything... But you do sort of repeat or instruct quite a bit too that you wouldn't have to do if it was ordered in a different way. For instance, "if you're bot get this", "if you're jungling get this", "if you're mid, get this". Whereas if you had a section MID you wouldn't have to clarify when to get which thing. iykwim with that super convoluted explanation.

I'm really wracking my brain thinking of a way to get the best of both worlds.

For example, perhaps in each chapter have a part at the end like (made up data for the sake of example) that looks MUCH better than this (but you get the idea):

ADC
TOP
MID
JUNGLE

ADC
18/12/0
TOP
12/18/0
MID
12/0/18
JUNGLE
18/0/12

ADC
TOP
MID
JUNGLE

etc

Thoughts? ^^
