Kassadin
Spell: Teleport or Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR Kassadin is a tough machup especially after 6 when he will start to be mobile thanks to his R. - Thanks to his passive he will take 15% reduced magic damage. - He will poke you a lot with his Q which also gives you a magicshield. Poke him back when the shield goes down. - He is a melee champion so try to poke him a lot when he is trying to CS. - He can't use his E unless he has 6 stacks on it – he gains stacks when nearby champions, including him, uses an ability. - After 6 try to freeze the lane under your tower. He will start to be a major threat to you thanks to his R. - If he jumps on you try to dash away and kite him. - Every time he use his ultimate, the next cast will have increased mana cost and damage - he can stack it up to 4 times and the next cast will do large amounts of damage. - Its hard to keep track of him because he can easily take different roaming routes thanks to his R.
LeBlanc
Spell: Exhaust or Barier AP + AP/MR + MR LeBlanc is a skill matchup. You can beat her if you know what you are doing. If you'll allow her to do what she wants she can snowball the game. - Her Q marks you for 3.5s – when she damages you again with ability, the mark will denotate dealing damage. If possible – don't let her detonate it. - With her W she can dash to desired location and then blink back to previous spot. It has a long cooldown and its also her main AoE ability to clear waves. - Her early wave clear is poor – try to push her and make her lose some gold under tower. - It's generally a good idea to take your E at level 2 - she might try to poke you down. - Poke her as much as you can in the early game. - You should always have a soldier standing between you and her. If she dashes to you, use your E to make some damage, get the soldier charge and block her incoming damage. Use your gained charge and Q if she blinks back to her previous location. You should win the trade that way. - You need to dodge her chain – if you get hit by it try to dash away from its range. It will root you for 1.5s. She can't hit it through minions so stay behind them. - Get some magic resist – Banshee's Vail will be very good here. You can also get MR boots. - With her R she can cast a mimicked version of her most recent ability. - If she is missing and you know where she is going try to follow her but take a different path. If you can't follow – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Talon
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/Armor + Armor - Poke him whenever you can when he is trying to CS with basic attacks. - Keep your distance from him – if he is close enough his Q will critically strike you if you are within 170 units range. Outside of it - he will dash to you but does way less damage. - With his W he will try to poke you and clear waves at the same time so try not to stand too close to minions. - With his E he can jump over walls – its a great roaming tool. If possible try to push him all the time to prevent him from doing so. - You won't be able to follow him because of his E to stay in lane and try to get a tower. Everytime he leaves the lane ping that he is missing. Ward potential roaming paths. - He can jump over your wall. - After 6 if you'll see the ring of daggers – dash to safety. Its his ultimate – he gains invisibility for 2.5s during that. - Be careful when he hits level 2 – he might be able to burst you down with ignite.
Vladimir
Spell: Teleport or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR I marked it as hard because you can't really kill him until you'll have morello. - There are 2 items which are crucial versus him: Morellonomicon – heal reduction and Liandry's Torment - max HP burn. - Just push waves or freeze under tower. He has a lot of sustain thanks to his Q so you won't be able to poke him down without Morellonomicon. You can take Ignite if you really want to. - Watch his bar below his HP. When he's got it stacked fully – his Q will deal additional damage. He will want to use that on you so just avoid him for a moment (2.5s). - Try to avoid being near him – his E deals quite a lot of damage. - With his W he sinks into a pool of blood and becoming untargetable so he can easily avoid crucial abilities like your ultimate. - When he wastes his W he is vulnerable for a long time. - If he ults you just dash away to safety. Don't try to fight him. - Avoid being stacked with your teammates in teamfights.
Ahri
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Ahri wants to roam to impact the sidelanes and get the kills to snowball the game. If she can get a few kills she will be a major threat for you and your team. - She will use her Q to shove the lane and roam. Try to keep up with her. If possible keep her under her tower. - Never stay NEXT TO minions so she won't be able to harass you at the same time with Q. - Stay BEHIND minions so she won't be able to charm you (E). Just in case take the Cleanse for your own safety. If you will get hit by the charm – she will most likely go all-in. - After 6 play very carefully. You don't want her to roam so keep pushing her. Kill all minions and go back to safety. Keep your sides warded. - If her R is on cooldown, keep track of it – that's the time when you should fight her. - If she misses her Charm you have 12s until she'll have it again. Use it to your advantage – especially when her ult is down. - If she is missing and you know where she is going, try to follow her but take a different path. If you aren't able to follow her – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do. - Be aware of her E > Flash combo – it's unpredictable and you can't dodge it easily.
Akali
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR - This matchup is pretty much about not dying. Akali will be always a major threat to you no matter what, especially after 6. - Pre-6 always try to harass her when she is trying to get CS. Patch 9.3: Q no longer heals so you should be able to poke her easily. - Try to make her lose as much CS as possible pre-6 by pushing her in. Make the waves crash on her tower. - Her Shroud (W) gives her invisibility. You don't want to fight her in the shroud. Patch 9.3: True Invisibility is removed which means towers will reveal her - If she hits her E she can dash to you regardless of distance. The same thing will happen if she hits the shroud. - After 6 avoid fighting with her. Try to prevent her from roaming by pushing her in but be careful. - With her R she can dash twice. After the first one she has to wait 2.5s to recast it and dash again. The 2nd cast will do a lot of damage if you are low on health. - If she is missing and you know where she is going try to follow her but take a different path. If you aren't able to follow her – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Annie
Spell: Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Watch the bar under her HP and Mana. When she has 4 stacks, the next ability will stun you. - She can easily last hit minions with her Q refunding the mana and half of its cooldown. She can also stack the stun easily that way. - If she has all stun stacks Pre-6 – she will most likely use the Q on you and follow up with W to poke. You can't dodge the Q so try to keep your distance – she won't keep the stun forever. If she is holding onto it, there might be a chance that enemy jungler is nearby. - After 6 she will become a threat. Again, watch the stun bar – if she has 3/4 she may Flash + Ult and burst you down (some early Magic Resist will help you a lot). Keep track of her Flash cooldown if she wasted it. - She is immobile so you can setup ganks with Shurima Shuffle, ask your jungler for help. - Some Annie players are taking the Hexflash rune. Keep an eye on where she is going because there is a chance she will jump on you over the wall/brush with it.
Aurelion Sol
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR Aurelion is tricky – vs a good one you will have a bad time: - Aurelion is one of the best - if not THE BEST roamer in the game. That's why you have to keep him in mid lane. Ideally your jungler should be helping you with that so ask him to do so. - He wants to shove the lane with his W – to do that he will try to find a spot to hit all minions. Use a soldier on that spot and poke him down if he tries to do it. - If he is not able to hit all minions with his W you should be able to keep the pressure on him and push the lane – preventing him from roaming. - All of his damage comes from his stars which are flying around him. When you are fighting Aurelion try to stay really close to him to avoid the damage. Care for his stun - after 9.2 patch he can recast it almost immediately - so keep that in mind. After 6 be careful – he can ult you away. - He is immobile so you can setup ganks with Shurima Shuffle, ask your jungler for help. - You can inrerrupt his E (flying) by attacking him. - Everytime he is missing, ping it but never follow him – you won't be fast enough. Instead - try to get a tower.
Cassiopeia
Spell: Exhaust ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Cassiopeia is a single-target DPS champion. Avoid going into extended trades with her – you won't win them. - Its mostly about not being poisoned. You have to dodge her Q and leave W immediately so she won't be able to DPS you with her E which will deal bonus damage to poisoned targets. - Watch the minions early - if she gets level 2 before you (first minion of 2nd wave) she will look for a trade which you will definitely lose. - You can't dash away when you are standing in her W - you will get the Ground debuff. You can't flash from it either. Leave it as fast as you can. You can dash through it if you are not standing in it. - You can dodge her ultimate by turning away from her – you will get the stun only when your champion is facing her. To dodge her ult you need to listen – when she inhales that means she is using her ultimate, that's the time where you have to turn away immediately. - She is immobile so you can setup ganks with Shurima Shuffle, ask your jungler for help. - She might try to zone you from minions if you will allow her to. Poke her whenever you can but remember - don't go into extended trades with her. You should be able to poke her down.
Diana
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR - Pre 6 poke her everytime when she tries to take CS – she is a melee champion. - She will most likely use her Q to clear waves so don't stay near minions – the Q travels in the arc from her right. - She can negate some of your poke with her W – she will use it while CSing. - Her E draws you to her location so try not to stand too close to her. - If possible try to get a lead before level 6. - After 6 the lane will start to be tricky. She will be mobile thanks to her R. She can dash to any enemy (including minions). If she dashes to a target affected by Q its cooldown will be reset. It's really important to dodge it so she won't be able to burst you down. However she sometimes will dash to you even when the Q is missed to poke you down (the ultimate has quite a low cooldown) but she will lose her mobility for few seconds. - After 6 try to play safe and just push waves and go back to your tower – avoid fighting with her, you most likely won't win. You can also try to freeze the wave near your turret so she won't be able to jump on you but then she might start to roam. If you are freezeing and Diana walks too close to your tower - try to R her into it. - If she is missing and you know where she is going try to follow her but take a different path. If you aren't able to follow – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Ekko
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR - He will use his Q to clear waves over and over. Just try to keep up with it. - If he decides to use his AA to last hit minions punish him for doing so - he is a melee champion. - Avoid fighting him in close range - you won't be able to win vs him. - Don't let him stack his passive on you – at 3 stacks the next attack will do additional damage. - If he disappears for a moment be careful – there is a chance he wants to hide his W animation to ambush you. He will shoot the sphere to a desired location. If he enters the sphere and you are inside it – you will be stunned. It also shields him. You don't want to be in that sphere so dash away from it before he enters. - With his E he can dash – the next basic attack has 300 bonus range and causes him to blink to his target (its like a flash). If he blinks to you he will probably follow up with Q so if you can, immediately try to sidestep – he can miss it. - After 6 if his R is not on cooldown he will be followed by a hologram of himself – after casting the ultimate he will go back to it dealing damage to nearby targets on arrival and restore some HP (you want to get Morellonomicon to reduce that). If you are fighting him don't stay too close to the hologram. - If he is missing and you know where he is going try to follow him but take a different path. If you aren't able to follow – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Fizz
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR Fizz can be tough to play against. If you know what you are doing you should be able to crush him. - Pre 6 you want to poke him as much as you can. Everytime he tries to CS – poke. - Push him – make him lose CS under tower. Poke him under it. Ideally, you should have a huge CS lead in the early game. - Avoid fighting him in close range if possible. If he engages on you with Q – use your W on him and E to shield the damage and to get the stack of a soldier. If he then retreats with E - follow up with your Q and poke as much as you can. You shouldn't lose a trade like that. - If he wastes his E take advantage of that – it has a long cooldown early. Never engage with Shurima Shuffle if it's not on cooldown. - After 6 you have to dodge his fish. If he hits it – you are usually dead. Try to dash to safety if you get hit. - Get the early Banshee's Veil - you can also get MR boots. Zhonya's Hourglass will be good as well just to dodge his R.
Galio
Spell: Teleport or Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR Galio can go both full tank or AP. In mid he will most likely go AP. - His passive empowers his basic attacks every 8s, making it AoE. Because of that, he will push waves. Try to take advantage of that by pushing him under tower. He will have problems last hitting under it. - Avoid his Q – the tornado, it will do quite a lot of damage to you. He will mostly use it to clear casters. - He takes reduced damage while charging his W and then he taunts everyone inside the circle. His W also gives him a shield that absorbs magic damage every 12s when he is not taking damage. - Sidestep his E – he will step backwards first then dash forward knocking up on hit. If he hit it, you can get quite a lot of damage. - He may stack Magic Resist items so get the early Void Staff if you see him doing so. - After 6 he will want to use his ultimate to help allies. If possible try to keep him pushed so he have to choose between roaming and clearing the waves. If he uses the max range R you won't be able to follow him so try to get a tower instead. - You'll see when he casts the ultimate – if you will be fast enough you can cancel it with your R.
Irelia
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/Armor + Armor - You don't want to push her because of her mobility – she can dash to any minion with her Q. If the Q kills the minion, its cooldown is refunded. Watch the minions HP – she can easily jump to you that way. Try to freeze the wave under your tower. - She will most likely try to jump on you when she got her passive stacked – it increases her basic attacks damage. Keep an eye on it. - Because you are freezing – she might try to break it, which means she can get closer to your tower. Try to use your ultimate to throw her into your tower – but dash into her immediately so she won't be able to dash with Q to you. Also watch how many minions you have left so she won't be able to escape. - She can channel her W, during it she reduces incoming damage by 40% - she also cannot be interrupted by CC. - Watch where she sends first blade from E. It will give you the idea where the 2nd one will land – makes it easier to dodge. If you are trapped between them you will be stunned. - You obviously want to avoid fighting her in the melee range.
Jayce
Spell: Exhaust or Barier AP + AP/Armor + Armor Jayce has 2 forms: Melee and Ranged. - He will play mostly in Ranged form. He will try to poke you with his E+Q combo. It will do a lot of damage so stay behind minions or try to avoid it. The gate (E) has a long cooldown (16s) so you have a lot of time between them. - Keep the distance from him because he can change his form to melee and jump on you with Q doing quite a lot of damage. Especially if he combine it with other skills. - Avoid fighting him 1v1 – he is stronger than you. Try to poke him down first. - Try to push him and make him lose some CS. - You can dodge his Melee Form Q by flashing before he hits the ground.
Katarina
Spell: Exhaust AP + AP/MR + MR - Pre 6 try to push her – her farming under tower is weak. - Poke her everytime she is trying to CS with basic attacks. - She will try to last hit minions with her Q. Remember that throwing a Q leaves a dagger on the ground. - With her W she can leave a dagger at her current location. - She can jump to daggers with her E. Remember to avoid staying near them - that's where the most damage comes from. If she picks up the dagger, it will restore some of the E's cooldown. - After 6 – remember that you can cancel her ult with your R. If you can't - try to dash away. - Be aware that if you misposition she can try to all-in. One mistake can be crucial. - Prevent her from roaming – maintain the pressure on her but you have to be really careful. -Keep the sides warded so you will know when she is leaving the lane. - If she will roam – try to follow her if you can but take a different path. If you can't, warm your teammates and try to get a tower on mid – ping what you want to do.
Lucian
Spell: Exhaust or Barier AP + AP/Armor + Armor - You outrange him with your soldiers. His range is really low for an ADC. Try to kite him and don't let him attack you. - He has some burst thanks to his passive – everytime he uses an ability he can shoot twice. With a full combo he can do a lot of damage. - Don't stay behind your minions so his Q won't touch you if he uses it on them. - Try to mimic his movements (stay on the same side of the wave) – if he stands to the left, stand to the left – it will make it harder for him to harass you with Q. - With his E he can dash a short distance – care for his engages. He will most likely start the whole combo with it because every time his passive is triggered he can lower E's cooldown. - Watch the XP bar – if he will get level 2 before you (first minion of the 2nd wave) he most likely will engage on you. - If he uses his R he can fire it only in one direction. He can still move but he can't change its direction so you should be able to easily dodge it. - Don't go into extended trades with him – try to poke him from the distance. - Save your ultimate. He can easily dodge it with his E so don't engage with Shurima Shuffle unless he wasted it.
Malzahar
Spell: Barier or Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Try to destroy his Spell Shield passive with your basic/soldier attack before poking him. - Ocasionally he will throw Q on you – it's fairly easy to dodge it. - You can kill his voidling with a single basic attack (not soldier) or with a single Q. - He will use his E to shove waves. If the minion is killed by E it will spread to other one. Don't stay too close to a dying minion or it will be able to spread onto you. - You can easily cancel Malza's ultimate with QSS. Cleanse doesn't work on it. Its also possible to cancel his channeling if you time your ult just in time. - Pre-6, try to outshove him – his clearing is not that great in the early game. He will have to waste a lot of mana to keep up. - Afer 6, if you don't have QSS yet – ward your sides. He can easily setup a ganks for his jungler by simply clicking R on you. - If you don't want to build QSS in the early game – Banshee's Veil can give you some protection.
Orianna
Spell: Barier or Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Orianna's basic attacks are empowered thanks to her passive. Keep your distance from her – she will try to harass you with basic attacks if you are close. - Always keep an eye where The Ball is – all of her abilities revolve around it. Avoid standing near it. - Always try to stay behind The Ball, she will have to walk up a bit to reposition it to hit you due to her range. That's when you should reposition as well. Avoid standing side by side. - When she wasted her shield (E) you have 9s window to try and poke a bit. - She is immobile so after 6 you can easily setup ganks with Shurima Shuffle or burn a flash. - You can dodge her R by Flashing from it with proper reaction speed. Your dash also should be fast enough if you have a soldier somewhere already. - In teamfights – don't stay together with your allies so she won't be able to ult all of you. Also watch for who The Ball is on. She will want to attach it to someone with good engage to follow it up with R.
Pantheon
Spell: Cleanse or Barier or Exhaust AP + AP/Armor + Armor soon
Qiyana
Spell: Barier or Exaust AP + AP/Armor + Armor - Watch which Element she picked. Her Q will have different additional bonuses depending on which Element she have. - If she picked River element there is a chance enemy jungler wants to gank - it's great to setup a ganks. - If you are below 50% HP be aware when she picks up Terrain element - Q will deal bonus damage. - Everytime she wasted a Q you have 7s to take it for your advantage - she hates extended trades. - if she just picked up any element - she can't do that again for next 7s. - Her E dash has fairly high cooldown 12s-8s based on level. Try to keep a track of it. - Her R will stun you if the shockwave will pass through river or a brush or when it will stop on terrain. - Because of her melee nature - try to poke her as much as you can when she tries to CS. - Try to freeze the lane under your tower - she have like 2x gap-closers and staying near your tower might be more save - but be aware of her R and terrain interaction.
Ryze
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Always stand behind minions so he won't be able to hit his Q. - Don't stay next to minions. His E bounces to nearby targets. If it bounces to you it won't deal any damage however his Q will bounce to marked targets dealing increased damage. - You can't dodge his W – its a point and click ability which will slow you for 1.5s. However when you are hit by his E – it will root you instead for 1.5s. Cleanse might help you sometimes. - You can cancel his R channeling with your R. - He is immobile so you could try to setup ganks for your jungler with Shurima Shuffle. - Just shove the waves all the time.
Swain
Spell; Teleport or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - It's mostly about dodging his E. Try to sidestep it everytime so he won't be able to follow up with his combo. It roots the first enemy it hits when the claw is returning so if you have a minion between you and the claw you won't be rooted. - Staying behind minions will help you to avoid damage from his Q. Don't stay behind dying minions – killing a minion with it won't stop the bolt from continuing onwards. - Thanks to his passive he can pull just about any immobilized champion towards him. - After 6 avoid extended skirmishes with him. If he uses the ultimate – dash away from it. - Swain may have issues with clearing minions in the early levels so try to push him and deny some of the gold from him. - Don't try to Shurima Shuffle him even with your jungler around – he might be able to 2v1 you. - You want to get Morellonomicon to reduce his healing.
Syndra
Spell: Cleanse or Barier AP + AP/MR + MR The matchup is mostly about avoiding the damage. - She will poke you a lot with her Q. Constantly move but try to be unpredictable. - With her W she can throw any Dark Sphere/Minion on you so try to avoid them. - Push her so she will have to use her Q and W to keep up with the shove but don't stay in minions so she won't be able to harass you. - Care about her E she knock back all enemies in the radius – but also knocks back all dark spheres. If the Dark Sphear will hit you – you will be stunned for 1.5s. You have to dodge it at all cost or she will be able to follow with the whole combo. - E has a long cooldown – she is quite vulnerable in that time. - At level 6 she will gain her ultimate – thats where all her burst comes from. The more Dark Spheres she has on the field the more damage it deals. There is no way you can dodge its damage so try to barrier yourself with E or get Zhonya's to deny it completely. - Its generally a good idea to get some MR vs her – MR boots will help a lot. - She is immobile so you should be able to Shurima Shuffle her to setup ganks but her E is a problem – try to bait it first.
Twisted Fate
Spell: Cleanse or Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - His Q's are slow and easy to dodge. Avoid the damage. - When you see the red card – try not to stay near minions to avoid the damage – its an AoE ability. - When you see the gold card – run away from him, its a stun. He can easily setup ganks with it. - When his W is on cooldown he is quite vulnerable for 6s. Try to take advantage of that and pick a fight. - After 6 he will want to roam a lot because of his R. He will have a lot of impact on map. Try to push him in to prevent him from doing so. - Don't try to follow his roams if the fights are very far from your current location – you won't get there in time. Try to get tower instead. - Ping your teammates whenever he leaves the lane. Try to keep wards on roam paths. - You can cancel his ultimate by using your R if you are fast enough.
Veigar
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - He will want to stack his passive for bonus AP. Constantly push him so he will lose some stacks. - His Q's are fairly easy to dodge – it damages first two targets it hits so be aware that he can still hit you behind minions. - When you'll see a small shadow somewhere in your location – run away from it (deals a lot of damage), it's his W. It lands after 1.25s so its easy to avoid it. - With his E he can materialize a cage after 0.5s delay. If you walk into the walls of it you'll be stunned for some time. If you can dodge it and be outside – great, if not – stay inside and try to dodge his skills in there. You can't dash through his cage. - When he wastes his E – he is a lot more vulnerable. He won't get it again for a long time. Take advantage of this. - After 6 avoid being low on health. His ultimate is a great execution tool. It's damage is increased based on target's missing health. - He is quite immobile so you can easily setup a gank for your jungler or waste his flash with Shurima Shuffle. Try to bait his cage first. - Later in the game he will have a lot of AP so be careful. He can easily delete you with his Q + R combo.
Vel'Koz
Spell: Barier or Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - His main poking ability is his Q which is quite easy to dodge but its got 2 parts. First part is in a straight direction, then upon a recast or max range it will split into two bolts firing in the opposite direction perpendicular to the original bolt. Always watch where the first bolt is going, it will give you an idea on where you should go to dodge it. - Try not to stand in minions – he will use his W to clear waves. - Try not to get hit by his E – it will CC you. If you will get a hit, he most likely will follow up with other abilities and burst you down. - If he wastes his E you have a lot of time to try and pick a trade with him. - After 6 when he is casting his R: dash away from it or behind him (if you want to continue fighting), it will deal a lot of damage especially if he stacked his passive on you. - You can cancel his R channeling with your own R. - He is immobile so you can setup a gank for your jungler or burn his Flash with Shurima Shuffle.
Viktor
Spell: Teleport or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - He will most likely start with his Q at level 1. He can try to pick up a fight immediately so don't try to fight him – he will easily win a trade because of his Q shield. - Be aggressive in the early game: poke him – he is weak in early stage of the game. Delay his first upgrade – make him to go back before he gets 1150 gold. - Watch out what he is maxing first. If you'll see him maxing Q don't try to fight him at level 9 – he can easily outduel you due to the low cooldown on it. But he will have weak waveclear so push him under tower. - He will use his E to clear waves - so don't stay in minions - but also to harass you. His E goes in a straight line so try to dodge it (upgraded E has 1 additional wave of damage). - Don't stay in his W – it will stun you after a while (upgrades W will also drag you to the center). Leave it as soon as possible or just dash away. -Without his W he is quite vulnerable because he loses the zoning ability. - Run away from his ultimate – it will deal damage every 2 seconds. - He is immobile so you can try to setup ganks for your jungler or burn a Flash with Shurima Shuffle but be careful – he can just use his W under his feet. Try to bait it first.
Xerath
Spell: Cleanse or Exhaust ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Its all about dodging his Q and W – get early boots and don't stay behind minions. Make him choose: poke you or shoving the lane – don't let him get both. - His E is a stun and can be easily dodged. You can take Cleanse just in case but that's not necessary. - When he wastes his E you have a lot of time to pick a fight. Take advantage of that – you should be able to easily get a nice trade. - His R can be easily dodged as well – pick up your dancing shoes. Remember than level 1 ult has 3 bolts, level 2 has 4 bolts, and level 3 has 5 bolts to dodge. - Get Banshee's Veil for some bonus Magic Resist – it works extremely well vs him. You can even get MR boots if you want. - He is immobile so you can easily setup a gank or waste his Flash with Shurima Shuffle. If possible try to bait his E first. - Later in the game he will be the main ""poke machine"" for his team. Try to take him down as soon as possible.
Yasuo
Spell: Exhaust AP/CDR + AP + Armor - Don't try to fight him in minions – he is very mobile near them thanks to his E so he can easily dodge your soldiers. - Its recommended to freeze the lane under your tower – he won't be able to do whatever he wants with his E. - He can't dash to the same target more than once for a certain amount of time. - Watch his stacks on Q – the 3rd one will become a tornado which he will mostly use to poke you. It can be dodged quite easily - Before poking him try to get rid of his shield first with a single basic attack or soldier attack. - Poke him whenever you can when he is taking CS – he is a melee champion after all. - With his W he can stop your Q and R. He can't block your basic attacks or soldiers attacks. If he wastes it – he is quite vulnerable for a lot of time. - After 6 if you are still freezing – if he goes too close to your tower: try to R him under it – but make sure to go out of range of his E or just dash into him immediately. Make sure there aren't any of your minions around as well. - If he ults you ult him away when the effect ends – his critical strikes will gain 50% bonus armor penetration for next 15s. A smart Yasuo player will probably windwall your ult so try to dash away when it happens.
Zed
Spell: Exhaust or Barier AP + AP/Armor + Armor - Stand behind minions - his Q damage is reduced to 60% against units beyond first – but try to dodge it anyway. - His Shadow (W) will mimic his Q and E dealing the same amount of damage. Try not to get both of his Q or it will do a lot of damage. - He can swap places with his Shadow. - When he wastes his W Shadow – he will become immobile for a long time. Try to take advantage of it. - Avoid being below 50% HP – his basic attacks will do additional damage to you. - Poke him every time he wants to CS and push slowly (if possible zone him) – he can easily farm under his tower thanks to his passive. - After level 6 if he jumps on you – remember that he will always appear behind your back. Time your R well and push him. Dash away immediately or he will come back to the shadow. - If you are overhelmed by him – early Zhonya's will help to negate his ultimate. - After 6 he will want to roam so try to prevent him from doing so by pushing but be careful. Ward the roaming paths. - If he is missing and you know where he is going try to follow him but take a different path. If you can't follow – try to get the tower instead but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Zoe
Spell; Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR -Stay behind minions to avoid her Q and E. - It's crucial to dodge her Q because its damage is increased by distance it travels. - It's also crucial to not get hit by her E – if you'll fall asleep she will deal a lot of damage on the next attack on you. Pick Cleanse to be safe (reminder: you can Cleanse her E whenever you want now – you don't have to wait until you fall asleep). - She can extend E's range by throwing it over the wall so be careful when she leaves the lane. - Push her in to prevent her from roaming – she'll want to do it a lot. - Sometimes there will be a minion with a balloon. If she kills it, she can pick up a randomly dropped active item or summoner spell and use it as her W. - Try not to use summoner spells when fighting with her if its not necessary - she can pick up them. - After 6 care about some sneaky Q's over the wall or fog of war. - She seems mobile but she is not. You can easily setup ganks for your jungler with Shurima Shuffle or burn her Flash. - If she is missing and you know where she is going try to follow her but take a different path. If you can't follow – try to get the tower instead, but warn your teammates and ping what you want to do.
Anivia
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR This matchup is pretty simple: - Shove her pre-6. Make her lose as much CS as possible under tower – her AA animation is long and slow. - You can't dodge her E but it doesn't deal much damage unless she hits her Q – then its damage is doubled. You have to dodge her Q by sidestepping it. If you stay in her R she will do double damage with it as well. - After 6 - the lane automatically turns into a farm fiesta. She can easily shove the lane with her R so shove it back. Try to keep up with it. - She might start to be a bit more aggressive – she will try to trap you inside her ult by using her wall. You can dash through it. Be aware of the fact that she can also interrupt your dash by using the wall on you if she casts it at the right time. - She is really immobile so ask your jungler for help – after 6 you can easily setup a gank or make her waste a flash by using the Shurima Shuffle. - When her passive is up you literally have to kill her twice. If she turns into an egg – after 6s she will be revived with full HP. The passive will go on cooldown for 4 min so that's the window for when you should be able to kill her.
Cho'Gath
Spell: Teleport or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR Cho'Gath is mostly picked for top lane and goes tanky. However he is sometimes seen in mid with an AP build. - Laning against him is all about dodging his Q. If he can't hit it he won't be able to do any damage to you. He will most likely aim for minions so don't stay too close to them. - Keep your distance from him - his W silences you up to 2s. - After 6, avoid being low on health near him. He apparently likes raw chickens. - Each stack on R grants him bonus health. He will have a lot of HP so you want to build Liandry's Torment to burn him. - Thanks to his passive, he has a lot of sustain in lane (each minion he kills restores his HP and Mana). You can try to poke him down but you probably won't be able to kill him. Just keep shoving the lane and make him lose some CS. - If he went for a full AP build be careful after 6. He might Flash > W > Q > R which will most likely kill you. Never understimate the power of full AP Cho'Gath.
Corki
Spell: Teleport or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR First of all – you want magic resist vs him. Even when he is building AD most of his damage is magic damage. His basic attacks are permanently modified to deal 20% physical and 80% magic damage. All his skills deal magic damage as well. - Don't stay near minions because he will most likely use Q to clear them. - With his W he can dash - if he uses it towards you he will try to pick a fight. Respond with your E to block the incoming damage. You should be able to win trades vs him if you place your soldiers well. - His E shreds your Armor and Magic Resist - not by a lot but you still should avoid it. - After 6 he will start to annoy you with his missiles. They are easy to dodge because you can stay behind minions as well but watch the bar behind his HP and Mana - the red one deals 100% increased damage and increasing its explosion radius so don't stay too close to minions to avoid the damage. - After 8 min have passed, he can pick up The Package near his fountain. The Package will change his W (he have 1 min to use it) – his dash will be further and the fire trail will do a lot of damage. He will most likely roam to another lane to use it (probably bot lane so you can try and follow it up).
Heimerdinger
Spell: Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR Heimerdinger can be annoying in early levels because of his towers but the more AP you have the easier it gets. - Before the first wave he will want to deploy all his towers – try to prevent him from doing so. - You can attack his towers with your soldiers – you outrange them as well. - Try to destroy towers all the time – he is nothing without them. - Push him and make him lose CS. - You can avoid his rockets by simply staying behind minions or sidestepping. - Avoid being hit by his E – it will stun you but also trigger a beam from nearby towers. - With his R he can improve his abilities. You will know when he uses it – above his head there will be an electric light. If he uses his Q he will deploy an empowered turret – you don't want to stay near it. With R > W he will shot 4 waves of rockets so you have to dodge them. R > E makes the granade bounce 3 times. - He is immobile so you can setup ganks with Shurima Shuffle, ask your jungler for help.
Lissandra
Spell: Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Any enemy that will die near Lissandra will become a Frozen Thrall. The Thrall will then chase nearmy enemies slowing them and shattering after 4s dealing AoE Dmg. You don't want to be near one so watch out in teamfights. - In lane try not to stay behind minions – her Q will shatter on them, gaining some range and can damage you. - Try not to stay near her or she will be able to root you with her W. - With her E she can blink to the Claw's location. You can prevent her from doing that with your ult – but care she can also dodge it that way. - If she wasted that E – take the advantage of that. Thats her only mobility tool and it has a long cooldown. - Don't try to Shurima Shuffle her – she can just ult herself dodging the whole combo. - If she ults you – Cleanse it. Take care if your Cleanse is on cooldown – she will get the ultimate faster so play safe.
Lux
Spell: Cleanse or Barier ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - All Lux abilities mark damaged enemies with light. If you get hit by her spells – don't let her basic attack you, it will consume the mark dealing bonus damage. - Her Q roots you for 2s upon hit. Hide behind minions because it affects only first two enemies hit. - If she wastes Q or misses it – she is vulnerable for 10s. Try to take advantage of it. You can even try to go all in if she is low enough. - She will use her E to clear waves and to poke you – try not to stand next to minions so she won't be able to harass you and clear waves at the same time. You obviously want to dodge it to avoid the poke. - After 6 stay away from blind spots. She might be waiting there so you won't see her combo coming. - If she Q you – she most likely will go with the whole combo so try to dodge it or Cleanse it immediately and sidestep. - She is immobile so you can easily setup ganks for your jungler with Shurima Shuffle. - In the teamfights try to focus her – because later in the game she will probably have 40% CDR – that makes her cooldowns extremely low.
Neeko
Spell: Barier or Cleanse ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR If you can keep track of her she won't be much of a problem. Pay attention what is she doing, when she is backing, where she is going etc. - If you can't see her anywhere on the map and there is a champion on your lane (which shouldn't be here) that means it's most likely Neeko in a disguise. If that stranger is not using abilities - that's most likely her as well. Watch your map. - Dodge her Q if possible and don't stay in it - it will deal additional damage each bloom (max 3). It will also bloom another time if it kills a minion. - Every 3th attack her basic attack will be empowered - if possible avoid it. She will most likely want to use it on you. - Her W clone will always go in a straight line - if you'll see one of them changing the direction - it's the real Neeko. - Dodge her E - it will root for a lot of time especially when it will go through minions. If she can't hit it - she won't be able to do much damage to you. - Kite her when you fight. To use her R she has to go near you. Dash away immediately when you'll see a zone near her (if she is not disguised). After 1.85s she will deal a lot of damage and stun everyone around herself.
Sylas
Spell: Barier or Exhaust ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - Poke him every time he tries to CS - he is a melee champion. - Push him into tower - make him lose CS. There is a chance he will lose a lot of it because every time he uses an ability the next basic attack will deal AoE damage around him. - His Q works similar to Lulu's Q with Pix. The chains will come from both of his hands. It slows on hit dealing damage and after 0.5s delay it detonates at the chains' intersection doing the same thing again. - Be careful for his W. It deals damage and heals Sylas. It will deal more damage when you are below 40% health. Additionaly Sylas will heal a lot more when he is below 40% health. He will most likely bait you when he is very low to catch you off guard - don't be greedy. The W's cooldown is pretty high so punish him when its on cooldown (14s-12s). Get Morellonomicon vs him ASAP. - First cast on E is a small dash. For the next 3.5s he can recast the ability to shoot chains in the target direction dealing damage and stunning the first enemy hit pulling himself towards you. It also gives him a small shield on 2nd cast. This is his only escape and gap closer. You can avoid being hit by his chain by standing behind minions. - With his R he can steal any of your allies ultimates. Watch which one he steals and be careful. He can even Shurima Shuffle (Sylas Edition) you with his E.
Ziggs
Spell: Barier or Teleport ATS/AP/CDR + AP + MR - It's mostly a farm lane so just push the waves constantly. -Don't stay near minions – his Q will explode on impact with them. Try to avoid being hit by it too – its easy to dodge them. - Watch the bomb in his hand – if it will glow that means the upcoming basic attack will be empowered. - His W knocks back all enemies in the area. He can also knock back himself. - His E explodes on contact and lasts for 10s. - After 6 if you see a circle on you – that's his ultimate. Dash away from it or at least escape from its epicenter. - He is immobile so you can easily setup ganks for your jungler or burn his Flash with Shurima Shuffle. Try to bait his W first if possible.
