Before we officially start, this is a VERY basic guide. It is my first guide, and I will not go to in-depth.

Feel free to change up the guide anyway you like. I've been experimenting the past couple days, and this seems to work for me pretty well.

I. Introduction

Coming from my view point, Vayne need to be played defensively starting off. Do not run in and try your hardest to get the kill, it WON'T work.

This build is, in my opinion, absolutely great for destroying buildings, as well as killing enemy champions later on in the game.

As you may know, Final Hour is a devastating ultimate. It penetrates through turret defenses and champions. One of the best things you can do to help your team push quick, if no enemy is around, is use the ultimate on turrets, you'll get 2 turret kills max out of one use, but that's only if your lane is completely clear of enemy heroes.

Let's continue.

II. Reason for:

a. Spells
-Exhaust:
This is a very useful spell to keep you enemy in your Line of Sight in order to burn him down quick. I recommend only using it while you are chasing down an enemy because you will still run faster than him/her (if they don't use Ghost). If you need to run away, use Tumble, it's great for evading AoEs and just getting the **** out of there, but try not to use Exhaust for escaping, of course, there are always a few exceptions.

-Teleport:
Great spell for protecting and getting to the front lines quick. This spell has set up constant double and triple kills for me while on defense. It's definitely great to have if your teammates are needing assisstance from across the map, too. I don't know how many times I've used this to counter a gank, but all those times, it's worked out great.

b. Runes
-Armor Penetration:
Must I explain? Damage, of course.

-Dodge:
You might question why. I'm even wondering why I use these runes sometimes, too. Well, sometimes in a situation you might need that chance to dodge an attack. It can be a life saver when it works, but if you fail to dodge, you're dead. The reason I chose these runes > health runes is later in the game, 175 health, in my opinion doesn't help much. That's less than what I hit, so I decided to dodge an attack to live on chance.
--I've also taken down heroes with 3.8k+ Health, with half my health left. Play smart, you won't need health being Vayne.

-Attack Speed:
Again, simple. More attacks/second, high damage.

c. Masteries
-Offensive (confusing ones):
Cripple- Because you don't use Smite or Ability Power, using Exhaust will lower the defense of the target while slowing them, making you deal more damage.

Sorcery- Being able to use Tumble more times in a row is a great helper.

Offensive Mastery- Kill more Minions, get more gold, buy more items. Win? Yes.

Why not Lethality? Well... I decided not to go with Lethality because you're going to get Infinity Edge, so what's the point. 10% more damage can't be that much, I think it's worth the sacrifice.

Utility (confusing ones):
Spatial Accuracy- You're spell is Teleport, and nothing much else in the first tier of Utility is useful for you (except +health%/mana%).

Greed- Money is great. Money = items. These items are pretty expensive, too. I haven't had a game where I've had all my items yet. I've gotten 5/6 items + a Cloak of Agility (for Infinity)

d. Items
Berserker's Greaves:
Attack speed, and movespeed. What more could you ask for? These are great for knocking down the enemy quick, and if you play smart, you won't need that extra +1 Move Speed the Boots of Swiftness give you.

Sword of the Divine:
Great for killing turrets and the attack speed boost on it is just wonderful. I think this is definitely a must have item.
P.S! Use the items Active Ability for further damage, it works wonders.

Zeal (upgrade later):
This will just help add on to your attk speed, crit, and move speed. It will give you more of a chance to survive (run), and do more damage now to units with the crit chance bonus.

The Black Cleaver:
Great for killing, it helps with the attack speed, damage, and armor reduction. After 3 stacks, the enemy champion most likely doesn't stand a chance.

Phantom Dancer:
If you buy everything in order on the list, your attack speed will now be 2.1xx. People will constantly be running from you, don't chase them into a turret, though. Be careful. This will also add more crit chance and move speed, making you deadly no matter what. This is where you start to push/gank.

Vampiric Scepter (upgrade later):
I like to buy the items that come before the powerful item because it's nice to have that little bonus, and 12% life leech is GREAT with this character on the 2.1xx attack speed.

The Bloodthirster:
I don't know what to say. This is usually end game, right here. You won't die, playing smart, and you will deal deadly high, and fast damage.

Infinity Edge:
Congratulations! If you made it this far, you most likely are going to win the freaking game. This is an AMAZING weapon and will give you Ridiculously high crit damage!

III. Conclusion

This is my first guide, remember. Feel free to change it up.

I have been using this guide for a couple nights now, and I absolutely love it. It's worked wonders for me.

I'm only level 13, but I've never had made such an amazing character (except for my TF who has crit 650s on minions and over 450s on champions, haha).

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the guide, and if you have any suggestions, please comment below!
