Hey im Knoxerking, I'm Eu-West Player from Germany and im actually playing alot of ad-carry bottom. It's my first guide and I hope my language is undertstandable :)
If you find some mistakes please tell me so I can improve my guide.
But now let's get started!

Genaral information

Ezreal is one of the strongest Ad-carries at the moment, together with Graves and Corki.
Here are a few pro's and con's of Ezreal:


-amazing earlygame burst
-good mobility
-nice harass
-best skin in the game
-a lot of aoe
-able to shut down AS


-short auto-attack range
-Not the best lategame

-lots of skillshots

Summoner spells

Best Options

It's simply the best summoner in the game and there is no reason not to use it with Ezreal.

Great summoner for Ezreal because it increases your kill potential by a lot and reduces the power of the commonly used Heal.

Alternative Options

This helps you to survive in lane and in team fights. It is also great for baiting enemies with low health. The reason why I don't use this is because most players run Ignite and this makes this skill almost useless.

Another good option. I don't use this because my support already has it. If you really need it feel free and take it.

This is a nice option if you face a heavy-cc-team. It's not the best option for Ezreal but it's decent.

Runes & Masteries



The offence Tree is pretty self-explaining.

I take 9 points into utility because Ezreal is pretty mana-hungry early and the masteries give you more spammability in lane.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Greater Mark of Attack Damage: They help you alot with early game farming and give you a nice boost of damage.

Greater Mark of Desolation: They make you hit the enemies a bit harder because most of them will run Greater Seal of Armor.

Greater Seal of Armor: They will give you some armor which will decrease your enemies damage a bit.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist: They give you some magic resist that makes you way tankier late game.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: They also give you some more damage and make farming really easy.

Start Items:

You should always start with Boots and Pots because they give you the speed and the sustain you need. They allow you to dodge skillshots and ganks much easier and you are able to hit your enemie and backing away before he can trade you.

First Back:

This gives you some sustain, survivability and also a bit of damage. It helps you a lot with laning.

Core Items

If you have the money you should buy this. It gives you a bit more tankiness and damage but more important is the slow which increases your kill potential by a lot.

If you have the money to complete this and you are really ahead you should get this badboy and do even more damage. Later it builds into The Bloodthirster.

This should be your first big item and you should have this guy around the 20 minute mark. It gives you a nice mix of stats, and makes you a mid game monster. Once you have this you should be able to 1v1 most of the enemie team and your team should start getting objectives like dragon, towers and so on.

Your next big item after your Trinity Force. It gives you a lot of damage and incredible sustain. Try to farm this up quickly since the bonus stats are huge.

This should be your next item in the most games since by now your enemies should have stacked quite a bit of armor. If they haven't you can get Infinity Edge or Phantom Dancer instead.

Now you should get a defensive item because your enemies will try to focus you. Which one you get depends on the situation. You should get a Quicksilver Sash if your enemies have hard stuns or supressions like Warwick Malzahar Veigar and so on.
If they tend you dive you with 2 or 3 men you should get a Guardian Angle. It gives you nice defensive stats and prevents you from getting instapopped.
In some cases both these items don't help. Here a Banshee's Veil might help because it is the only way to block skills like Blitzcrank's Rocket Grab or Malphite's Unstoppable Force.
Somestimes it is necessary to buy 2 defensive items when you get killed really easily and one of those items doesn't help enough.

If the game still isn't over it's best to buy an Infinity Edge. This boosts your autohit damage by alot and lets you melt the whole enemie team.

This is the build i almost always get simply because there are no real alternatives and this build always works.
Somtimes, if you are really far behind, you should get the second build, because if you rush lategame items you are maybe able to get back with a few kills and alot of farm.


You almost get them every game because they're really cheap and they give you some attackspeed which you need because the other items in this build don't give you too much of it.

Get these if you have preoblems with hard cc (e.g. Leona, Sona and so on). You can also sell you Berserker's Greaves lategame and get these instead.

If you are a big fan of them, they're an option, but i would not recommend them.

I used to max w over q but since the nerfs I would recommend to max Mystic Shot first. Of course you should skill your ultimate whenever you can.

Skill Overview

Gives you some nice attackspeed which helps you alot early game till late game. If you fight dragons, barons, buffs, towers and so on try to keep your passive stacked.

Really nice skill and one of the reasons why Ezreal's early game is so strong. It's great for harrasing, farming or checking brushes. With Phage it's also great to catch people because if you preoc the slow you are able to chase down very easily. Don't fight inside the minions during the laning phase since you are most likely not able to hit this.

Also really nice skill which allows you to trade very well if you manage to hit this. It's also very nice for harrasing because it ignores minions and it's not too hard to hit. While pushing cast this on your allies to increase their attackspeed.

I love this skill because it makes Ezreal very mobile and hard to catch during teamfights. You can escape, dodge skillshots or close the gap to your enemie. During laning phase it gives you also a bit of burst damage.

Once you reach level 6 your kill potential increases by a lot since this skill is perfect for sniping people, increase dps or just clear minions.When you'r in a all-in fight, only use it if you are sure that it will hit because it's somewhat easy to dodge especially with Flash so be careful with it.

Lane Partners

In my opinion he is one of the best supports with Ezrealsince your kill potetial is huge. Ezreal doesn't need the sustain as much as other Ad-Carries and with his burst, he can kill the hooked enemies very fast.

Also a very nice option. She gives you some nice sustain and makes you a horror poke-lane. From level six it's also very likely to get a few kills.
