Poke with your Q, don't use mana or any other abilities unless your going in for a kill/gank or getting ganked ofc. And don't use it to farm, just harass. Last hit as much as possible and just laugh as they fail to hurt you in return.
This works as MR counters AP champions ofc, meaning stacking it early hard-counters AP champions. While your passive will allow you to poke back like a GOD.
Its easy-mode laning. Very effective counters to normally harsh mid champions like brand, cass , malz, morgana, swain etc. Especially against the ones mentioned that do DoT as your shield will nearly completely nullify their damage output in ganks.
