Introduction
Before I start explaining why I choose these items, runes, masteries and skill order, I will say why i made this build. When I play LoL I often see persons who use very strange GP builds and fail very hard. It makes me feel bad that they don't use GP how he's supposed te be used. But remember! You can always change some things to adept to the enemy team or to your style.
I choose these runes to make sure I won't run out of mana in the lane and deal damage to the enemy.

Greater Quintessence of DesolationGreater Mark of Desolation
Greater Glyph of Replenishment
Greater Quintessence of Critical Chance These Quintessence works great with your Parrrley in the begin of the game to harass the enemy. Also this Crit Chance will give you an advantage when you try to get FB as a Crit deals 200% damage. But watch out. Don't depend too much on Crit's! They are great to have, but are in the begin of a match lucky to get.
Greater Quintessence of Desolation An enemy who has a lot of armor can be difficult to lane against. It doesnt mather if you get a crit or not, it will still deal not enough damage for GP. Armor penetration is the best solution then. Especially in the begin of the game will this give you a great advantage.

Greater Mark of Critical Damage When getting a crit in the begin of the game, dealing 6,69% extra damage doens't look like it's much, but it can make sure you got the kill or not. Late game is it the same. It really makes a difference.
Greater Seal of Armor Getting an armor boost in the begin of the game is very usefull. When you're in the lane against an enemy like Talon, you have the advantage that you got an armor boost and talon won't do enough damage to kill you, but you will kill him. Also when you try to kill an enemy and the minions target you, you won't notice them that much because of your armor.
Greater Glyph of Replenishment In the begin of the game when you get low on health, you don't always want to recall. Using Remove Scurvy is a solution, but it costs some mana. Mana regen is very usefull, when your jungler needs mana to jungle so you can't get blue buff or if your mid lane needs it.
