Hello, this is Shadowofadoubt, and this is my Garen guide. I made this guide because I really don't like the current meta (Including the highest rated builds), which seems to focus on Garen being a Bruiser top with high amounts of AD and crit. Though a lot of people cite Garen's passive (which gives him a large amount of health regeneration) as the main reason to build him AD, I think that his natural tankiness is an advantage that needs to be exploited. So take a look at my guide: Though I'm not a super high ELO ranked player, I'm level 30 with some 200 wins, and I pretty much main Garen, carrying the team despite my lack of "carry" items like Infinity Edge and Black Cleaver, which seem to be put on Garen these days.

Hopefully in this build I can tell you why.

+Pros+
- Great Farm with your Judgement
- Great Turret Killer and Initiator with your Decisive Strike
- Great Mobility; Can counter slowing champions like Nunu and Olaf with his Q.
- Strong Early Game (This was weakened with a recent patch, but it's still incredible)
- Amazingly tanky, due to his awesome passive
- Demacian Justice secures kills like a boss

-Cons-
- No real CC (Silence gets good later in team fights, but a slow would be better top)
- Late game scaling is still only decent with the patch
- Courage's active is near useless until Levels 4 and 5
