Really hard to deal with since her shroud denies yi his resets and can wait out ult. Denying resets is a major reason most for most of the high up threats. Sorta hard to duel as well if akali is ahead.
Ahri
Difficult to gank and actually kill in teamfights. Watch for charm obviously.
Amumu
lots of cc and will win early duels if you run HOB. Need to wait for engage in teamfights and go for backline or look for opportunities where amumu is not around his team to fight.
Ekko
R is very hard to play against since you can never go on him in teamfights until he's used it. You do wins 1v1s tho.
Gangplank
You just run over him and dodge his barrels with Q or W them. Be careful of true damage though.
Elise
Very long stun and you can never Q her or else she will go Un targetable. Need to just not interact and target her carries. Nightmare matchup if she is ahead.
Graves
You just kill him before he kills you. Be aware of smokescreen though.
Rammus
Need to buy QSS, but even then a difficult game to play. Need to never interact and just target his team. If he engages your team get on enemy team backline ASAP.
Hecarim
Need LT, but you kinda just kill him before he can do anything.
Kayn
In theory an easy matchup for yi, but I've struggled with it in the past. Need to abuse his shit early game and be wary of his ult since it can delay your resets.
Kha'Zix
It's possible to win 1v1s if you have can W his Q, but you need to play very cautiously. Only take 1v1's early game if you have LT or if you have armor. Ult is very tricky since he denies resets with it and can just run away if you engage him. Need to wait out both casts of ult (or 3 if hes evolved, he turns red if he has evolved R).
Ivern
Just kill him. He can't fight back and q is easy to alpha or flash over.
Kayle
Her R is very problem some late game. Completely messes up any chance if killing her team. If you're playing yi and can't get a reset in a team fight you're screwed. Kayle doesn't let you reset since she will R your target and in that time her team will kill you. Can be 1v1ed since you can dodge her ult damage with alpha.
Lulu
Denies resets with her R and point click long duration cc is a nightmare. Obviously easy 1v1 but very hard to deal with in teamfights.
Malzahar
QSS tax. Same with Liss.
Mordekaiser
Dodge his Q with your Q and just kill him, you usually win even in death realm.
Nocturne
Kinda hard since his E will fear you and if your ult is active you just run back very fast, which can be good but try to dodge it with Q. Also 1v1s are close if he has LT.
Rek'Sai
She just blows if you so quickly. Plus her cc is very potent. Ban, dodge, or just try not to interact.
Shaco
I haven't played against shaco in so long since he's my perma ban, but he just a distraction. DO NOT INTERACT.
Rengar
You lose if around bushes.
Skarner

Tryndamere
He will kill you quickly and you can't kill him. You need to kite his R out with your Q, W, and running with highlander. Very tricky.
Twisted Fate
Dodge yellow card with ult. Annoying since he buys zhonyas sometimes.
Zilean
His R makes your entire kit obsolete since you should never be able to get a reset. I've found sometimes just trying to kill him first can work since a self ult isn't that high of value, so he usually isn't trying to ult himself and is just focused on teammates.
Sylas
Just kill him, your ult is useless on him and you kinda just win 1v1.
Nasus
Just run at him, you win 1v1.
Pantheon
Point click cc and bursty, but falls off very hard and his W is dodgeable.
Kayle
Her ult can let you just freehit, similar to Taric. Plus scales, just like you.
Taric
Not as good as before, but still decent.
Malphite
Not adding all engage tanks, but any tank that can engage is very good. Yi needs someone to tank damage for him and malphite does this excellently. Champions that die so yi can live are good.
Shen
His ult lets you do yi things for longer.
