I run an 11/0/19 setup, very specialized for Pantheon, granting move speed armorpen mana regen and cooldown reduction. He is a melee caster and should be built accordingly.

Skill Sequence

I start with 2 points in Spear Shot and one in Aegis maxing spearshot first HSS second and taking Grand Skyfall at 6, 11 and 16 and maxing aegis at 18.

A lot of people feel that Aegis -> HSS -> SS is a good combination. I disagree.

My combination goes something like this. Spearshot -> Aegis -> One autoattack -> HSS -> Spear shot.

The autoattack should be cancelled the second damage is dealt, if done correctly it will land in conjunction with spearshot resulting in a frightening damage spike which will usually trigger your opponents flight mechanism (aka they run), HSS them in the rear and toss another spear. If they ain't dead, they are hurtin, cap your point and if they come for more button the kill and cap anyways.

Summoner Spells

There are options but I always run flash and ignite. Your opponent cannot cap if they are dead, neither can they defend.

I purchase a brutalizer at the start of the game, it lets you start with 46 flat armor pen and 24.89% cool down reduction it also adds 25 attack damage which is huge. Your base movespeed with masteries is going to be 340, fast enough to get the job done. Once you get a last whisper and lucidity boots you will be sitting with plenty of damage and 39.89% CDR. Time to get survivability. Atmogs here is a great choice for Pantheon and here is why, with a giant belt and chain armor you are going to be a force to be reckoned with, especially in a 1v1 situation (the best kind). People mistake Pantheon as an easy kill, not realizing he can have you near death just for being over confident, which dominion play happens a lot at towers. clearly you can see why you would finish your atmogs, it leaves you with over 3000 health and damage to boot.

Pros / Cons


Awesome assassin, many people will take the skyfall damage to cap, usually the results are fatal to them. They fall to their own pride.

Unexpectedly tough with this setup, and a strong champion killer to boot.

Skyfall every 60 seconds, this allows you to reinforce a turret on a whim changing the tide of battle, or single handedly capping a point.

Flashing through walls to assassinate weakened targets, or flashing towards a running opponent, or baiting an enemy into a fight they cannot win are good uses for flash with Panth. Ignite is good for helping your teammates damage opponents while you focus another or killing an enemy from the grave.


CC sucks

You still fall rather fast if focused hard (but will usually take one with you with well placed Q's).

Drops to a defensive role mid to late game. (however still offensive with skyfall.

Team Work

Needless to say, you are a mobile super damaging CC with a spammable ranged nuke that hurts all but the bulkiest of targets, even then time permitting you can whittle down an armored armadillo. This build demonstrates an off-tankiness and damage combination most Pantheon builds lack. A well placed initiation or assassination can easily turn the tide of a fight even if Pantheon dies in the process.

I never B as Pantheon,I Just do not. I have squeaked out so many clutch defensive kills it probably makes a fully fed Yi spit rage at his monitor defending top. The trick is to hide in the bush above the capping point, someone will believe it is safe and come to take it, I like to flash through the wall and deal as much damage as humanly possible under the turret. Usually your opponent will see your diminished health and try to win the fight. The trick here is to kite him around and abuse his hitpoints with Spear Shot (I say abuse because harassment does not describe the pain of SS) with you massive cdr your stun and hss will be ready in no time and if you hold out you will win, or hurt them bad enough and distract them long enough someone will clean up the mess.

Aim for that damage dealer and show them why Pantheon is still dangerous. I like to let people know (especially Shaco's) that it is detrimental to their health for messing with me.
