Hey, my name is Chris and this is my first build on MobaFire. I make builds for my friends a lot so I decided to give it a try here. I especially decided to try it here because Hecarim is a pony horse thing! This is a build for Hecarim, the Shadow of War and reminder that ponies are awesome! With him you want movement speed and armor. He is meant to keep up with his enemy. Just like Rainbow Dash is meant to keep up with the Wonderbolts. I will be going over how to build him for top lane. This is still a WIP, so leave constructive comments if you like.

I normally go with a 9/12/9 build. I feel it gives me the stability I need as Hecarim is a sort of an all around champion. He is a tanky dps, so I like to put more points in Defense. You could switch this around to a possible 12/9/9 build if you are looking to do more damage, but I see him as more of Tank to initiate fights. Especially against those nasty Fioras (if you know what I mean ;))

I found that with laning top and getting Boots is first. Due to his amazing Warpath, that bonus movement speed gets to be used in killing off all the minions. After that, its pretty straight forward. You want Ninja Tabi because its very cheap and gives you that nice protection you need. The rest of the build is pretty straight forward (unless you are a newb). Trinity Force is also a MUST have as it gives you everything you need. After that you can either stack damage or armor. I would say you can always try new things with Hecarim especially since he is a new champion, but prioritizing with Armor and then Damage seems like the way to play him.
